Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: L.N.W, The End and the Beginning " " (5)

It was scorched earth, flames burning everywhere rivers dry, people running for their lives, above them silver skinned pale skeletal figures soared through the sky, taking and taking.

It was hell on earth, screams became the background music in this disaster, bodies lay littered on the ground, a mound of corspses stacked againt each other, a river of blood around it, on the mountain of corpses a man in regal imperial robes seated casually as he took in the view, he had no upper facial skin just a pitch black skeleton head and below he had skin from his nose to mouth. he mouth was curved upwards signalling a smile though his pitch bottomless empty sockets seemed to suggest otherwise.

it was hell on earth, the figure seemed to be just still dead, but he wasn't, another skeleton covered on nothing but rags came and bowed and before him saying his voice like steel against steel

"General, we've almost covered everywhere in this region what remains is just a small group of humans and we can return before the feathered pigeons ever notice we where here"

For a moment there was silence, and then the Half Skeletal head moved his body slightly it sounded like an oil machine.

He turned his pitch empty socket holes toward the soldier, and said his voice raspy and dry as hell.

"Why...why do we need to hide from the feathered pigeons do you doubt my strength, do you doubt the Emperors Strength, are you committing regicide"

by the end of the word regicide, the solider skull had a crack that appeared instantly in his skull, it seemed even a light brezze and his skull would collapse, the skeleton shkaed its head hastily and said "No, no my liege, at the beginning it was what was informed of me the mission we where given ..."

Before he could finish, a dry leg silver in intensity but dry to the point the skin looked more like a bone smashed through the skeleton head, skull fragments spalttered everywhere around the mound, the Imperial Skeleton had moved with speed in a something below a second and turned the skeleton skull into a shit show.

He turned his head and looked at the world before him, then saying slowly

"The Emperor is weak and foolish with Age, it is time i the Northen duke of the sixth level of the Corpse Mountain claim what i mine"

He spread his arms.

Above him, silver skeletal figures halted in the burning sky.

The world stilled, Then his voice rolled outward vast.

"The debt of mortality…"

He looked upon the burning land.

"…has matured"

The flames bended, and the winds died

Across the battlefield, surviving humans suddenly felt their chests tighten, As though invisible chains had wrapped around their ribs.

"Collect."

The command echoed through the slaughter field, The silver figures descended instantly. Screams erupted, Blood painted the ash.

Above it all the General smiled.

"Let the mortal world witness…"

He slowly rose from the mountain of corpses.

"…the decree of Corpse Mountain."

And hell answered.

The skeletons in air stopped for a moment then like bots they repeated the word as their actions increased in ferocity

"LET THE WORLD WITNESS CORPSE MOUNTAIN"

blood splashed into the sky, hell seemed like a child before the carnage unleashed upon the world.

...

Hundreds of people kneeled before a statue, it was a being massive he seemed he had long hair, and twenty wings enveloping him what seemed like a bow was in grasp its tip pointed at the people kneeling

behind them was the world coloured in red which seemed to be advancing step by step unleashing it maws towards the their settlement, the people within the settlement prayed and prayed their eyes red from crying blood, body shaking in fear, infront of them an old lady her body trembling as she prayed her seemingly weak frame contained power as her voice pierced the surroundings her prayers echoing in the air

"Angel of Redemption, right hand of Divinity, the inevitable vengeance, we call upon you, descend and behold the world that was promised of us peaceful has been turned into a meat grinder, human souls twisted and turned into monsters, children separated from their families

oh...Spirit of Vengeance hear my voice and come to our aid"

the monstrous world behind them opened its gaping maw about to swallow the last remaining safe place.

For a moment there was silence, a long deep silence and then from beyond the firmaments, a straight line like a meteor shot through, it was like the only thing that existed a straight golden line tore through the world from above and smashed into the advancing monstrosity.

And then there was silence, until golden flames burned through the world, bright red golden flames lit up the world furiously.

The thousands of skeletal figures in the sky lit up in flames, their exteriors melting under the heat, a beautiful view it was, 'Dim Golden clouds vaguely gathering, skeletal figures like candles their bodies lit with fire, as they melted silver liquid condensed from then drip by drip dropped to the floor, splashing unto the red earth.

And then the old woman voice sounded again her eyes closed filled with tears but firm,

"Angel of Redemption,

The Inevitable Vengeance,

Right Hand of Divinity,

NANASHI!!!"

The Clouds above swept away as if a Dragon had overturned the earth, White red Golden radiance swept the sky, hymns filled the world suddenly and then Wings in Pairs of 10 appeared in the sky, their hair where white, Eyes where scarlet white, they wore armour; Black iron plates overlapped like the scales of some ancient beast, Countless chains hung from their shoulders and waist, swaying with every movement like the tolling of distant funeral bells, in their hands iron Bows that gleaned in Gold the string of the bow burned fiercely.

There where Angels, The Angels of Vengeance, on their heads rested a crown formed from iron nails warped in chains, their Existence seemed to symbolize Dusk.

Hundreds of such Angels Filled the sky their bows in their hands eyes cold, the atmosphere took a steep heaviness, a figure stepped through the world

He had White Red hair, Behind him spread immense wings of white and scarlet feathers, twelve pairs of wings, forming twenty four wings in total, his Wings Alone surpassed the multitude of angels that had gathered above in the sky. Black iron plates overlapped like the scales of some ancient beast, Countless chains hung from his shoulders and waist, swaying with every step like the tolling of distant funeral bells.

Thorns of dark steel crawled across the breastplate, winding around the metal as if alive. Between them protruded ancient iron nails, long, cruel spikes driven deep into the armor's frame. Some were rusted by centuries. Others gleamed as though freshly forged.

A mantle of raven-black cloth fell from his shoulders, stitched with crimson threads that resembled veins beneath skin.

His gauntlets ended in clawed fingertips, and every movement produced the groan of strained iron and the whisper of dragging chains, In his hand rested a bow fashioned from blackened metal and thornwood, its limbs wrapped in chains.

Upon his brow rested a crown of twisted thorns woven through with seven iron nails.

His height and wings Dwarfed everyone present, his eye like Red Ashes, the atmosphere was silent and then the angels present began singing in a voice not comprehensible by mortals, their voice though soft pierced through the hearts of all present, The mortals raised up their heads tears flushing down their faces as they prayed even more fervently their faith unshakable the old woman raised her head her voice loud

"The Demons sought to ruin us, and lo and behold in our time of need His Highness, The Angel of Redemption, the one who wears the Crown of Iron Thorns, Closest to Divinity, the one who gave his Promise to Mankind,

NAN~ASHI!!!"
