Chapter 5 - Elegy of Slaughtered Dreams

In a world where dreams are slaughtered before they are born,

the killer is not always the guilty one…

but often the result.

Here, sins are not measured by actions…

but by the wounds that came before them.

And tonight…

evil will not be judged…

but what was made from it.

Chapter Five: Slaughtered Dreams

After Elia met Lilia and learned that she was a part of him, he continued walking between the trees, where the sounds of birds filled the place and the gentle breeze passed quietly. Lilia was saying to Elia: do not trust anyone, for humans are mortal creatures that do not deserve compassion. Elia replied: not all humans are the same, for from within everything decays, and from within everything is born. Lilia did not respond.

He continued walking, and the air grew heavier gradually, until his feet led him to a city. Everything in it seemed normal, but Elia was not comfortable with it. He entered the city and found guards searching everywhere. Elia asked one of the people: what is happening?

The man answered: there is a killer in this city, he killed his family, and now the guards are searching for him.

Elia said: and do they know who the killer is?

He replied: it is rumored that he is a dangerous killer who shows no mercy to his victims.

Elia paid them no attention and sat by the fountain in the city. He took out his violin and began to move the bow slowly, as the melodies mourned, and whoever heard them began to cry. Lilia interrupted his playing and said: why do you not pass your judgment on this killer?

He said to her: how can I know him when I have not met him?

Lilia laughed and said: he will fall into my hands.

At that moment, the sun began to set, night fell, and people retreated into their homes. Elia decided to sleep beside the fountain, as it was a comfortable place. After a few moments, he heard footsteps approaching. He stood up to find the killer holding a knife.

Elia saw the killer… it was a little girl.

She approached him, and he said: you do not belong to killing, you are not like them.

The little girl replied: how, when I am the one who killed my family?

He said to her: I look at you with my insight… I saw light within you, I did not find darkness. Why did you become like this?

The girl came closer, then broke down in tears.

She said: I used to be beaten and hurt with words by my family… they prevented me from going out and playing with other children… I was alone. They never brought me a doll to play with… they treated me as if I were nothing… they hated me because I am a girl… they despised me. Why? Did I choose to be a girl? Did I choose to be born?

Elia remembered his past and what his father used to do to him. The sound of the girl's crying softened… then it was heard:

Tick

Tick

Tick

She looked at Elia and saw tears of blood falling from him.

Lilia said: pass your judgment.

He raised his violin… and began to play.

Elegy: Distorted Dreams

[Elia moves the bow very slowly, low notes resembling a moan, his voice coming out choked with tears]

"O flower that grew… in fields of tar

Your family fed you poison… in cups of deprivation

Your innocence was slaughtered… on the table of betrayal

And your blade became… the scream and the fate"

[The melody grows sharper, as if the violin screams on behalf of the girl]

"I saw in your soul… the marks of whips

And how they strangled dreams… with ropes of degradation

You are not the killer… they are the murderers

They shaped from your childhood… this guillotine

A doll they shattered… then cried over

What sin did… the blood in her hands commit?"

[Elia raises his voice, his eyes bleeding sorrow, not anger]

"My insight wept… before it saw you

For the darkness within you… is the darkness of those who raised you

They sold your purity… in the market of slavery

And dressed your innocence… in garments of filth

Do not be afraid, little one… for truth is clear

And the judgment from my hand… is the refuge and the escape"

[The melody calms and turns into a whisper, Lilia stands behind him like a gentle shadow]

"Your reality is a prison… and death within it is release

No blame upon you… nor diminishment

I will grant you a judgment… that washes away sins

A long sleep… far from the wicked"

[A very soft final string strike… then silence]

"Sleep, O victim of your family… in the embrace of the void

For the chapter has ended… and the form has been broken"

Victim

The girl remained standing… then her soul was transferred to Lilia's limbo, where her execution would be carried out.

Lilia appeared before her with a pale, sorrowful face and said: welcome to my limbo… the theater of masks.

The masks circled around the girl, whispering:

What did they do to you? What have they turned you into? Oh, our aching hearts…

The masks began to cry hysterically.

Lilia approached, embraced the girl, and said: I will relieve you from your suffering.

Then the little girl's body fell before Elia.

Elia stood up, carried the girl, and walked with her out of the city until he reached a garden of flowers. He dug her a grave, buried her, and said:

"Rest in peace, O flower… the water was cut from you… so you watered yourself with blood."

To be continued

This silence was not comforting…

it was heavier.

Elia's steps did not stop,

but something… was no longer the same.

Deep within that quiet,

the echo of the melody still lingered…

not as solace,

but as a warning.

Somewhere…

the story is not over yet.
