Chapter 3: The Year
Kelvin stood silently in the middle of the street, his sharp red eyes scanning everything around him.
Something felt… important.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a phone.
"…Let's see."
The screen lit up.
2008.
Kelvin froze for a second.
Then slowly… a smile appeared.
"2008… so this is the beginning."
His mind started connecting everything.
Tony Stark was still just a genius billionaire—no Iron Man yet.He hadn't been kidnapped. Hadn't built the suit.
Captain America was still frozen in ice.
No Avengers.
But there was something else…
S.H.I.E.L.D was already active.
Its agents were everywhere in the world, silently controlling hidden operations.
And beneath it all… Hydra had already infiltrated deep inside S.H.I.E.L.D, secretly spreading its roots and controlling agents from the shadows.
Kelvin exhaled slowly.
"A world full of secrets…"
He looked around the streets of New York again.
Normal people. Normal lives.
But behind this normality… powerful organizations were already moving.
Kelvin checked himself.
No identity card. No home. No money.
Nothing.
He was completely invisible in this world.
But he wasn't helpless.
Inside his pocket, he had only one thing—
A sharp knife.
Cold steel. Simple. Deadly.
He tightened his grip slightly.
"That's enough for now."
He looked around again, observing the busy streets.
Cars passing. People walking. No one noticed him.
A normal city.
But Kelvin knew better.
He lifted his head slightly and looked at a nearby street sign.
New York.
"So… this is where it all begins."
A slow, dangerous smile spread across his face.
But Kelvin wasn't careless.
He stepped aside into a quiet alley, away from people.
"If I'm going to play this game… I need to understand my abilities first."
His eyes glowed faintly.
"System."
The interface appeared instantly.
[MISSION: First Taste]Induce fear in 3 humans
Kelvin looked at it, thinking.
"I won't rush."
He wasn't the type to act blindly.
First… he needed to test himself.
Control his power.
Understand his limits.
Only then would he hunt.
He took a deep breath and activated his ability.
Colors slowly appeared again.
Blue. Red. Green. Black.
Emotions… life… death… all visible.
Kelvin observed carefully, analyzing every detail.
A predator learning its new instincts.
After a few moments, he smiled.
"Now… let's begin."
He stepped out of the alley and walked back toward the crowd.
This time—not as a lost boy.
But as something far more dangerous.
