(Deer's POV)Power exploded from my core. My antlers began to crackle with yellow lightning, a massive surge of energy forming a sphere around me. My eyes glowed with the same electric fury. With a roar, I unleashed an attacking blitz.
The blast hit the target, creating a massive, tornado-shaped explosion of electricity. But as the smoke cleared, the golem-deer laughed. A shield had absorbed it all.
"Oh wow, jackpot!" she cackled. "We have ourselves a Maximus Deer! You're going to be my slave forever."
Panic set in. I'm toast, I thought. I should have let that human eat me. I felt like a failure, my powers stolen to be used for evil. I felt myself being dragged deeper into the Adron—the spirit world—when suddenly, a hand appeared from nowhere.
It slapped me hard—so hard that the spirit world began to shatter. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I was back in the real world.
