Night was beginning to fall.
They were walking along the road after leaving the park. "Today wasn't bad," Ryan said. "Not bad? It was amazing!" Ethan replied. Maya smiled softly.
"We should go out like this again." Aria walked quietly.
But every now and then—
She glanced at Lila.
Lila kept walking ahead.

A black car stopped beside them.
Everyone froze.
"What is this?" Ethan whispered.
The car door slowly opened.
Two men stepped out.

"Step back," she said in a low voice.
"What?" Aria looked confused.
"I said, step back."
This time, her voice was firm. The two men started walking toward them.
"They're here for us…" Lila whispered.
Ethan swallowed.
"What do you mean 'for us'?!"
Suddenly—
One of the men rushed forward.
Lila immediately moved in front of Aria.
"Stay behind me!"
The man tried to grab Lila's arm—
But she quickly dodged.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Ryan shouted.
Maya grabbed Aria's hand, frightened.
Everything turned chaotic in an instant.
There was no hesitation in Lila's eyes now—
Only resolve.
"You came to the wrong place," she said coldly.
The two men exchanged a glance.
Then one of them muttered—
"Target confirmed."
Lila's eyes trembled for a split second.
Suddenly—
A siren echoed in the distance.
The men stopped.
"Retreat," one of them said.
They quickly got back into the car—
And disappeared into the night.
Silence returned.
But it didn't feel the same anymore.

"What was that?!" Ethan said, still shaken.
Ryan looked stunned.
"Who were they?"
Aria slowly turned to Lila.
"You… knew, didn't you?"
Silence.
Lila said nothing.
