The beep turned out to be a single message, short and unceremonious.
Bar on Hyoja Street. Tonight. Come alone.
Min-woo stared at it for a long moment before showing it to Jae-min, and neither of them said much beyond a quiet exchange of good luck, Min-woo grabbing his jacket and heading out into the evening with his pulse already climbing.
Jae-min was still sitting on the couch, the apartment quiet in his absence, when his own phone rang.
Seo-yeon.
"Hey, noona." He answered on the second ring, grateful for the distraction, grateful even more for the sound of her voice.
"Hey, you." Warmth carried easily through the line, the kind that had been slowly returning to her these past weeks, a little more present with every conversation. "I wanted to hear your voice. Min-jun's out with friends tonight, and I realized I hadn't called just to talk in a while."
"I'm glad you did."
