Heading inside his class, Alan's mind was somewhere else completely, he was still stuck inside the dungeons, his mind on the exp, the bronze coins and the drops, it was the only thing that kept reappearing into his mind almost constantly even when he tried to think about something else or focus on his work that the teacher was giving out for the class, he would focus on it for a few moments before his mind wandered once more.
He felt as though he was some kind of autistic kid with his entire focus being placed on one singular thing and everything else didn't seem to even matter anymore.
'Can I find some way to make it that I don't have to go with the guys? I really don't care about being with the cool kids or smoking weed at the moment… I just want to grind.' Alan thought to himself as he placed his head on his arm as he laid his upper body onto his class desk, his eyes wandering out of the window to his left as he looked at the dark clouds in the sky.
Forks was in one sense of the word, depressing, nothing new actually happened and it was all of the same people that had grown here together for years, they had all known eachother since childhood, from kindergarten all the way up to highschool and they would likely remain here for years to come, for some until their deaths.
Alan had always struggled with this fact, he had always felt like his life was being wasted and yet he never had the chance or options that would allow him to change it. Atleast until now.
And since yesterday, Forks had turned from this dark depressing normal town in the middle of nowhere to a completely different town that he almost felt like he didn't recognise anymore.
A supernatural system, people that seemed to be completely unnatural by every sense of the world, even his system which in an of itself was the peak of being unnatural couldn't give him details about them. And then there was the dungeon that he had gone inside of, the fact that his very being had been changed from a human to something that was supposed to merely be fictional stories.
Hours passed slowly, to Alan it almost felt like the seconds had turned into minutes and the minutes into hours, it was almost an unbearable crawl of time, whilst his time inside the dungeon had seemed to pass almost in a blink from how immersed he had been.
Video Games were created with a singular purpose afterall, to be fun and even frankly addictive and now that his life had turned into one, the regular aspects of his life that he had just found normal had turned into almost misery that he had to get through.
Finally after the first classes of the day passed, the bell rang and the time for lunch arrived as Alan got up from his seat in the classroom, took his books with him and headed to his locker as he quickly placed his books inside the backpack that he had left there and then headed towards the cafeteria.
Arriving there, he greeted his new friends and sat down with them.
"So, y'know how we mentioned we got some of the good shit yesterday?" John said as he looked at Alan whilst he was leaning back on his chair.
"Yeah? Did you try it out already?" Alan asked half curious but at the same time not really committed to the conversation, though that was about to change, and it was about to change rather quickly.
"Hell yeah we did, bro it was nuts, I swear I was seeing crazy shit, It was almost like I could see the future, I swear that i was like predicting what was happening a few seconds into the future." John said whilst Adrian enthusiastically nodded with him.
"Yeah, was pretty crazy, I was like throwing rocks at him and he was dodging every single one of them easily and I was even using my full strength." Adrian spoke as he made movements with his hands, imitaitng a shooting motion.
Jeannie meanwhile who had been painting her nails on the table lifted her head as she gave a nod.
"Yeah, It was pretty crazy, feels like we got super powers for a few moments, ofcourse its probably just like weed makin us see shit but it felt like it, so it's definetly some hard stuff." Jeannie said, her voice slightly low as she leaned her body closer to Alan.
"So, you got like a good resistance or you a light weight?" Jeannie asked curiously as she looked at Alan.
"Im like medium, I dont get knocked out with a single hit but I also feel it, definitely." Alan replied though his minds was already a whirlwind.
If it had been merely three days ago? He would have dismissed their case as just imagination or hallucinations from the drugs, but now that he knew that the world around him wasn't exactly normal? That changed everything entirely.
'I thought that I would need to find some kind of excuse so that I can get out of going with them… but maybe I dont actually need to. If those drugs are actually special and do give a boost to reaction speed or slight precognition powers? That could be useful… really useful for later dungeons which are more than likely to actually have enemies that will want to attack me.' Alan thought to himself as he leaned slightly closer towards the group, his interest clearly peaked.
"So you still got more of that stuff right?" Alan asked with a slight smile on his face as his eyes almost seemed to twinkle.
Meanwhile on the other side of the cafeteria, at the Cullens table, a certain Alice Cullen was holding her head in her hands.
'My soul mate… is a druggie…. Lord save me.'
