Lifting his arm towards the holographic screen panel that was hovering in the air before him, Alan quickly moved his index finger to the join button.
Confirm
Yes no
'Confirm.' He thought as he pressed the yes confirmation button.
Almost instantly, the surroundings around him blurred and darkened, as he once more found himself hovering in that lighltess feelingless darkness, his thoughts however werent ones of panic, he had already gotten somewhat used to the feeling everytime that he tried entering the dungeon.
Instead his mind was filled with both anticipation, excitement aswell as trepidation about the fighting that he was sure would ensue quickly once he entered the dungeon.
A mere split second alter after those thoughts passed through his mind, his vision cleared up, the smell, sight, hearing and touch returned back to his body one after the other in quick succession.
And there it was, a completely different plane of existence from both his apartment and forks and the other dungeon that he had been in until now.
The Straw Dummy was simply made by a hilly grassy field with a purple cloudless sky and countles Straw Dummies all around him. Meanwhile this, this was a lot different.
Countless buildings were all around him, rising up high into the sky, a sky which appeared to be a green cyan colour, resembling the real one much more closely than the purple one had however it was still clear as day that this wasn't actually the sky he had grown up with his entire life.
Similarly to last time, there wasn't a single cloud floating in said sky, it was utterly clear, and there wasn't a sun this time either. It was still unknown to him from where the light that illuminated the entire surroundings came from. However those thoughts quickly dissapeared from his head as he looked down at the surroundings more closely.
It looked like a regular city street, a regular one inside of japan perhaps, the signs were completely in japanese and the buildings and sky scrapers were similarly made in a japanese architectural style, atleast that's what Alan thought.
'It's not like I've ever been to japan before but i've seen tokyo in magazines… it looks similar to that.' Alan thought to himself as he instantly brought out his makeshift knife spear and held it tightly in his hand.
At that point he almost looked down and nodded, checking if he was still wearing the leather armor that he had put on in the previous dungeon and realising that yes, any dungeon equipment that he left with it still on would still be there like a saved slot from the last time that he had left.
'That's great… now I just need to see where the enemies are.' Alan thought as he started walking down the street, making sure to look all around him, it was however at that moment that he noticed another anomaly.
Sound.
There weren't any cars in the entire city, there wasn't any sound of the bustl and hustle that a city like this was supposed to have, and even in this quiet, he couldn't hear a single chirp from any kind of animal or insect.
'Last time, the silence was weird but atleast it was that grassy field and It wasn't that creepy but this… this is officially horror movie territory.' Alan thought to himself as he felt a shiver run through from the base of his neck all the way down to his tailbone.
*Crinkle*
The sound of something besides him finally rang out, and instantly Alan's head turned to the side, his gaze focusing on a dark alley at the side of the road.
There, at a small trashcane that had falled down, a thing was moving and covering what appeared to be a used chips bag.
Slowly walking closer, he quickly gained a clear sight of what was happening.
There, covering the entire potato chip bag was a slimy like substance that was moving at a slow speed, the chips bag was slowly dissintegrating or rather it was being melted inside the slime substance.
'There…. This is it, a slime.' Alan thought to himself as he didn't hesitate for a single second, his mind already on guard for anything had instantly entered flight or fight mode as soon as he had seen the thing covering the potato chip bag, and it had clearly chosen to fight instead of flight.
Lifting his leg, he kicked the small garbage can as much as he could, sending it crashing backwards, as soon as he did, he saw the slime like substance jump out, it had been hiding inside the metallic and rusted trash can.
Its speed wasn't anything to brag about, infact it appeared to be a bit slow in comparison to a regular human.
A large tentacle speared its way through the air, heading directly towards Alan's face.
Alan wasn't strong physically however his agility wasn't something to sniff at, quickly moving his head to the side, he gripped his spear tighter and then planted one foot forwards as strongly as he could and used the entire kinetic force that he could generate with his hips, arms and legs in the small space in the alley inbetween buildings and thrust forward directly towards where the slimy tentacle had shot out of.
*Fsshhhh*
The sound of air parting rang out as the makeshift knife spear he had made out of day to day parts thrust forwards, and pierced through the trash on its way until it hit something small yet hard, for a moment, it slowed down the speed of the thrust, but a mere split second later, it couldn't withstand the attack any longer and with a clear shattering sound that resembled glass, it gave way.
