Hours continued to pass, the moon rising up into the sky and then slowly falling back down again, It was now friday, and yet Alan Walker was nowhere to be seen. The man however waited, he waited patiently, having not once even moved away from his spot on the bed, that same smile ever present on his face as he simply gazed at the window out of the apartment room… and waited.
Alice meanwhile had already gone back to the Cullen mansion, and as the next came came, she once more arrived at the Fork's highschool early in the morning, and then she waited… once more, she waited by the parking lot, the first class hour passing, the second and third quickly following and yet she refused to move from her position at the front of the parking lot.
Waiting for that familiar figure to walk through the front gates of the school… and yet it never came.
Finally, lunch period arrived, and Rosalie Hale, Jasper Hale and Emmet Cullen, walked towards her.
"Alice… you should go home, we'll help you find him later, even get Carlisle to check and maybe file a police report if no one has seen him. I asked around, and no one's seen the three that he hung around with either." Jasper Hale said softly with that southern voice as he softly placed a palm on her shoulder, he was using his gift to the maximum of his capabilities and yet he could barely hold her back.
He could sense it, Alice… Alice was really close to practically going feral. It was an emotional range that he had never seen from the woman, something he couldn't even believe until now that she was capable of feeling.
Alice didn't turn her head, her gaze still fixed onto the road outside the school parking lot, her body stiff as rock and cold as ice.
"Alice… You can't be here with how you are at the moment… you could put humans at danger." Rosalie said softly as she walked closer to her, even she, who would have usually been glad that Alan wasn't coming around, knew that she couldn't push, not when her sister looked ready enough to rip someone apart with her bare hands, and the fact that she could actually do it, didn't help the matter at hand at all.
Finally, at her voice, Alice's eyes narrowed slightly before she nodded and started walking towards the road and out of the school grounds, she didn't vanish in a blur of speed, she didn't take the car, she simply walked out, at normal human speeds.
The three others were left there standing watching her walk away, knowing that they had to find a solution, before Alice decided to take matters truly into her own hands, and that could cause potentially catastrophic outcomes. None of them knew what an enraged and utterly feral Alice would be capable of, and none of them wanted to find out or let the matter get that far.
"Call Carlisle, right now." Emmet muttered under his breath as he turned towards the other two.
Jasper nodded in an instant as he took his phone out of his pocket and brought it to his ear.
*Ring* * Ring* * Ring*
The phone rang three times before Carlisle picked it up, he was in his office at the Forks Hospital, checking over some medical documents when he had recieved the call.
"Alice, she's not well. Her 'mate' Alan Walker hasn't been to school yesterday or today, and neither have his friends." Jasper said simply, he didn't need to explain anything further than that, Carlisle would understand the gravity of the matter instantly, they weren't ones to usually call each other unless it was an extreme circumstance, and currently… it seemed like one.
Meanwhile inside a completely different dimension, a certain boy could be seen sitting on a large rock inside what appeared to be some kind of cave, he was almost entirely covered in leather gear, besides his head, on which he had a pair of black nightvision goggles and a gas mask.
He seemed to be staring at the air infront of him, if someone was able to see his eyes inside the night vision goggles they would notice them swervering side to side… as if he was reading something on the air itself.
All around him, the cavernous area was covered in what looked like yellow and purple viscous slimy liquid that was splattered all over the floor and walls.
'Finally… not much time left now… just a bit more.' Alan thought to himself as he read a certain line in his status menu, his expression under the gas mask slowly changing into a wide almost unhinged grin of pure excitement.
[ Status Menu ]
[ Name: Alan Walker. ]
[ Age: 18 ]
[ Race: 88% Human, 12% Elf ]
[ Level: 28 ]
'I hope… that this is enough… I could go all the way to fifty… but with this much, with atleast level thirty… I should be able to survive an encounter long enough that… I'll be able to atleast get back inside the dungeon. Otherwise… if the gap is truly that large… twenty more levels… won't really effect it much, and the truth is… that I'll have to leave this dungeon if I want to join the next one whenever its unlocked.' Alan thought to himself as he released a soft sigh, his excitement dampening slightly as he rose up from his seated position and gazed at the splatters of the remains of the slimes that he had killed which were quickly disintegrating into small motes of light and floating up into the air and vanishing out of existence.
'These guys… were quite annoying to fight.' Alan thought as he remembered the battles that he had done for the past few days inside of the dungeon. Just as he had suspected, every five levels, he could go and enter a different alley without it being too dangerous, and every alley either had a larger number of the same type of slimes as the alley before it, or it had a smaller quantity of slimes but a stronger more mutated version.
