Chapter 77 - Chapter 77

Time passed swiftly and unknowingly to Alan, two more days had passed, he had slept for almost close to fourty eight hours without even noticing it as he slowly woke up.

His entire body felt cramped as he tried to slowly move and yawn from his sitting position on the desk.

His body had leaned halfway to the right and his spine was currently showing him exactly what after effects that position had on him.

'Ah fuck… this hurts, hurts like a damn bitch.' Alan thought to himself as he felt his bones and joints release almost concerningly loud popping sounds as he slowly lifted himself up and looked around.

The room was still quite the mess, however the blood seemed to have dired and already been sucked up by the wooden flooring, leaving the room almost spotless in a way… in terms of dead bodies and human remains that is, but in the furniture way? It was still one of the biggest colossal messes that he had ever seen.

Putting his hand in his pocket, Alan pulled out his phone as he released a second yawn, flipping open the flip phone, his eyes almost half closed, mid yawn, atleast until those half lidded eyes landed onto the date displayed on the phone as he instantly started coughing, caught by surprise.

'What.. what the fuck.' Alan thought to himself in pure shock as he read the date again, looking at it more closely but it was just as he had seen the first time, the date wasn't moving. It was monday, the next week, he had slept through the entire weekend, on the damned desk.

Looking down at his body, he even felt like he hadn't suffered enough, like the pain and stiffness that he had gotten from his sleeping position wasn't even close to what he had expected to feel from sleeping in such a position for two days.

'Is this another perk of being… that?' Alan thought as his mind wandered back to his status menu and the evolution that had occurred on that day before he shook his head as he slowly walked to the ruin that was the entrance of the apartment and started touching each piece of furniture before thinking a single word.

'Store.'

As soon as he did, the item that he was touching would disintegrate into small motes of light that would get collected by the inventory holographic screen and then appear as stored inside his inventory.

The mess that should have taken hours, didn't even take half an hour, Alan proceeded to store each and every item before simply walking to where they should have been placed at, lifting his palm towards it and un-storing the item from the inventory.

He simply needed to think about the direction that he wanted the item to be at when it came out of the inventory and as long as it was withing a certain range from his body, he could take it out and precisely place it down.

Thirty minutes later since he had started cleaning the mess that had become of his apartment, it was done. Everything was spotless besides the deep dark red patch of dried blood in the middle of the flooring.

'That… I don't know how to get rid of that. Can't exactly store dried blood.' Alan thought before he released a long tired sigh of exasperation, there was nothing that he could do about it for now, he likely could try and find some way by searching on the internet by using the local bookstore computers but that would have to wait for later.

Taking his backpack that he had stored inside his inventory out, Alan walked to his bathroom and quickly watered his morning hair down before styling it as freely as he could with one hand and taking a large black beanie and using it to cover most of his head and his ears before turning around to head out of the apartment.

The changes this time were much more clearly visible, especially the ears, they had only been a little pointed before, but at this point, they were so clearly noticeable that it would most certainly be weird, no one would truly suspect that he wasn't human… besides other things that weren't human. Even they might not have suspected it if that had not known Alan before the transformation had taken place, but because they knew what he looked like normally, this would be a really really hard lie to sell.

'I look… like me, but like a me that took really really good care of himself, like phenomenal care of myself… and if worst comes to worse, I'll say that i somehow won a free lottary for some good makeup or some bullshit like that, or maybe plastic surgery and shit.' Alan thought to himself though that was something that he would rather prefer to leave as the last option, if he straight out said that he was using makeup to cover his real changes, his social status would most certainly plummet.

And it would plummet hard, straight into the ground, and that, Alan knew was something closer to a fact than a guess.

'It's not like I have much of a social status anyways but still… I'd prefer to just be the regular unknown kid rather than the weirdo of the town. Fuck, no one would have even cared if this was a bigger town or city, but because no one in forks can just mind their own damned buisness… haahh…. Fuck I hate this place.' Alan thought to himself as he released a sigh and walked down the stairway and arrived down at the street level before he turned and started heading towards the direction of Forks Highschool.

Alan Walker was finally… coming back.
