Chapter 1 - The Destiny

Dornas Castle stood imposingly upon lands rich in gold and precious metals. Its towers reflected the sunlight as if molded by the very brilliance of the wealth that sustained the house.

This was not just a noble family—it was one of the economic foundations of Deustia.

Men toiled in the distant mines. Loaded carriages crisscrossed the roads. Guards patrolled with discipline.

Everything functioned.

Everything obeyed.

Everything… under the name Dornas.

Inside the castle, Kael Dornas prepared for the hunt. His light armor reflected the practicality of a man who didn't need to prove his strength—it was already known.

"Have you decided?" he asked, without looking back.

The answer came firmly:

"I'll go with you."

Kael turned his face slowly.

Lythiel Tiger Dornas stood at the entrance to the hall. Even pregnant, her posture showed no fragility.

She was not just his wife.

She was the daughter of a powerful house.

And, above all…

she was someone who didn't ignore her instincts.

"You should rest," Kael said.

"I should," she replied. "But I won't."

Silence.

Kael observed her for a few seconds.

And then nodded.

"Prepare the carriage."

His loyal servant, Lhamark, who had been waiting silently near the entrance, bowed immediately.

"Yes, Lord Dornas."

His voice was firm, but carried respect.

Without wasting time, he hurried away, giving orders down the corridor while other servants moved with precision.

The castle responded quickly.

It always responded.

In a few moments, the sound of footsteps, wheels being adjusted, and horses being prepared began to echo from the main courtyard.

Everything was working as it should.

As always, it worked under the name Dornas.

Kael glanced away for a brief moment, observing the movement that was beginning beyond the tall windows.

Then he turned his attention back to Lythiel.

There was something about that decision.

Something unusual.

And, even without saying a word, he knew…

This hunt would not be like the others.
