Cassie scrambled backward pointing at the small blue figure on Hajin's shoulder while Jonas stepped in front of her with his raised axe.
"Get back behind me before that thing does something, Cassie," Jonas warned, tightening both hands around the handle as he glared at the glowing child.
"That thing might be some kind of curse left behind by the spider," Jonas said, keeping his whole body between Cassie and the strange girl.
Hajin reached up and poked Aria's cheek, finding the translucent surface surprisingly solid beneath his finger.
"It is not a ghost or a curse, so lower the axe," Hajin said, flicking her swinging leg until she looked down.
"It is just the system, and she lives on my shoulder now," he added, lowering his hand while Aria's blue eyes stayed fixed on Cassie.
Loccy tilted her head, and her ears twitched as she studied the little spirit beside Hajin's face.
