Chapter 141 - Chapter 140: Luffy Arrives

Because Garp mistook Cain again, he ended up letting another secret slip and revealed something he had been hiding from him!

Awkwardly, he hurried over to the sink in the bar and splashed cold water on his face to clear his head, washing off the strange makeup on his face at the same time.

Cain, however, asked with some confusion, "Didn't the Golden Lion already escape? What, they didn't take the money back?"

Seeing the situation over there, Sengoku, who was also wiping the makeup from his face, shook his head and said,

"Taking it back is impossible. If they did, it would only disappoint the bounty hunters."

"If Shiki managed to escape, that was his own skill, and it was also a failure in the Marines' defenses."

"Although Luffy and Blackbeard breaking into Impel Down was part of the reason, the key person who released those vicious prisoners was still Blackbeard. He was the one who let most of them escape."

"As for Luffy, he only released some prisoners from the first and second levels. Those people aren't that strong. Ordinary Marines can deal with them."

"And since most of those people are now following Buggy, with no major movement from them over the past two days, we're currently considering pulling him into the Seven Warlords' camp."

"That's right!" Garp immediately chimed in.

"So aside from the Revolutionary Army, the only truly dangerous person Luffy released was Golden Lion. Fine. I'll help all the way, then. I still have a bit of a grudge with that guy anyway. When the time comes, I'll just beat him down again."

Cain thought it over.

The swords still had to be forged.

After all, he had promised Shanks face-to-face.

As for the fight after handing over the swords, and whether the Marines arrested Shiki or not, that was no longer something Cain needed to consider.

Judging by Shiki's condition, though, he probably would not be able to stir up any major trouble in the next two years.

"Hahaha, as expected of my grandson! You really know how to help us share the burden."

As Garp spoke, he reached out to pat Cain on the shoulder, only for Cain to directly seize his hand and question him.

"Although I was the one who changed the topic, Grandpa, don't think I've forgotten what you just said… exactly how many things have you hidden from me?!"

"Nothing, nothing. Really nothing."

Garp waved his hands repeatedly, but his eyes unconsciously drifted away, not daring to meet Cain's gaze.

He kept shaking his head while muttering inwardly,

'Other than secretly tripling the weight of his training equipment during special training…'

'And secretly thickening the Seastone layer on the bottom of the ship when he was practicing Iron Fist…'

'And making him buy huge batches of doughnuts before every voyage even though they were never actually required supplies for going to sea…'

'And the warship deck didn't really need to be cleaned every day, nor did everyone have to write voyage reports…'

'And back then, I told Cain that because he was the youngest, he had to handle all the laundry on the ship, even though the warship clearly had a washing machine. I'd hidden it long ago, though. After all, handwashing is gentler on clothes.'

'Aside from those tiny little things, there's really nothing else.'

Looking at Garp's slippery evasive gaze, Cain felt something was definitely wrong.

Sengoku, meanwhile, was staring straight at the young girl serving water in front of him, growing more and more suspicious the longer he looked.

First the Whitebeard Pirates.

Then the Big Mom Pirates.

Then the Beasts Pirates.

A girl who could stay by Cain's side and catch his eye.

And that half-red hair…

Sengoku spoke bluntly.

"What is Red-Haired Shanks to you?"

Garp and Cain, who had been arguing on the side, instantly shivered.

Garp hurriedly darted in front of Sengoku to cover for them, throwing an arm out between them, while Cain grabbed Uta by the wrist and quickly pulled her away.

"Hahaha, what nonsense are you thinking, Sengoku?"

Garp slapped Sengoku's shoulder and laughed loudly.

"How could this girl have anything to do with Red-Hair? You're scaring her! If there really were a connection, that'd be a huge problem! This old man would beat Red-Hair every time I saw him!"

That was what he said aloud, but inside, Garp was already making his own calculations.

If this girl really became his granddaughter-in-law, and that brat Red-Hair dared to disagree with the marriage, Garp would beat his head full of lumps!

But the more Garp laughed it off, the more suspicious Sengoku became. His brows twisted into a knot, and his voice sank.

"You'd better be telling the truth. If she really is connected to Red-Hair… your whole family will be tied to the Four Emperors crews soon. At that point, I wouldn't even be surprised if they all nominated you as Pirate King!"

"Heh. You're thinking too much."

Garp gave a dry laugh and did not dare meet Sengoku's eyes.

Just then, an urgent shout suddenly exploded from outside the door.

"ACE! SABO! CAIN!"

Cain and Uta both froze, then blurted out instinctively, "Luffy?!"

The moment their voices fell, a figure in a straw hat slammed through the door and rushed inside.

Out of the corner of his eye, Luffy spotted Garp and Sengoku.

The excitement on his face slowly faded into calm, then turned into a miserable expression.

His arm suddenly stretched out and shot toward Garp.

Seeing Luffy open his arms and rush toward him, Garp naturally spread both hands as well, feeling deeply moved.

'Luffy, this child has grown up. Seeing his grandpa, the first thing he does isn't run away anymore. He actually came over to hug me.'

'Wonderful. Come on, let's have a big hug ma boy'

Then, with a slap, Luffy's stretched arm wrapped around Garp's waist, and he yelled at the top of his lungs.

"EVERYONE, RUN! GRANDPA'S HERE TO CATCH US!"

"Eh?! What's going on?"

Garp froze on the spot, the corner of his mouth twitching.

Instinctively, he slammed his head down onto Luffy's!

With a dull thud, a bump rose on Luffy's head. Garp then casually followed up with another punch.

"Ow, ow, ow!"

Luffy grimaced in pain and rolled twice on the floor.

"To attack your grandpa as soon as you finally see him… Luffy, you really are getting worse and worse," Garp said without mercy.

"You're not exactly better yourself, Grandpa!"

As Cain spoke, he quickly stepped forward to help Luffy up, brushing the dust from him.

"Luffy, don't panic! Grandpa isn't here to catch us this time."

After that, Cain and Luffy, who was rubbing his head, sat together and talked while Uta stood nearby watching.

This time, Luffy had not been seriously injured, and there was no scar left on his chest.

As a result, he had woken up much earlier than he originally would have.

...

"Eh? So Sabo was at the place where my dad is? He lost his memory? And then he remembered at the end? I see. The Revolutionary Army, huh? Oh, oh… who's that? What's the Revolutionary Army? I have a dad? What is a dad?"

"Of course you have a dad, idiot. What, did you think you popped out of a stone like some Monkey?"

Garp raised his hand and punched Luffy on the head again.

After that, Garp began explaining the Revolutionary Army and Dragon to Luffy.

Previously, because of Ace's situation, Garp had been full of guilt and had never gone to Water 7, so Luffy still did not know who his father was at this point.

As for whether this information would spread, it did not matter.

They had already caused enough trouble during the Summit War.

Why would they still be afraid of trivial things like this?

Just as everyone was chatting noisily, Sengoku and Garp suddenly turned their heads at the same time, looking toward the small figure walking in through the door.

Their expressions instantly grew serious.

"We thought you wouldn't leave the island. Former member of the Rocks Pirates, 'Flame Flower'."

"Call me Gloriosa."

The newcomer's voice was steady as she pointed at Luffy.

"This brat insisted on seeing his brother. Although it still isn't the agreed time, with Snake Princess on the island, no one there can do anything to him. So I brought him over."

"That doesn't count as a reason for you to appear here," Sengoku said in a heavy voice, while also catching certain details in her words.

"Hmph. Do I need a reason to appear here? If anything, I have every reason to come out, and it's all because of you Marines."

Gloriosa sneered before continuing,

"You insisted on investigating the Seven Warlords, making Snake Princess so busy she can barely keep her feet on the ground. She has no time to look after this brat, so I had no choice but to bring him here."

"Uh, is that happening?"

Sengoku looked confused and turned toward Garp.

Garp also shook his head blankly.

"Heh. You even sent an Admiral, and you're still pretending not to know?" Gloriosa raised an eyebrow.

"An Admiral… the only one still out on a mission is…"

Sengoku's heart sank.

"Kuzan!"

He immediately took out the Den Den Mushi at his waist and pressed the call button, his voice burning with anger.

"KUZAN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? WE'RE BUSY OVER HERE, AND YOU RAN OFF TO AMAZON LILY FOR FUN?!"
