As he made his way home the main thing that was on Nero's mind was what to do with the fangs, having been given so many options of what to do with them he hoped that Aurathia would be able to help him decide what to do with them
"Aura, I'm back" he declared as he walked in through the front door
"Oh, you're earlier than usual, how come?" Aurathia asked as she cleaned the tables so that they would be ready for when customers start coming later in the day
"Yeah some stuff happened in the dungeon and I thought that cutting my time in the dungeon short was for the best" Nero said, explaining the situation he had found himself in
"You made the right descision" nodded Aurathia "pushing forward in that situation would have been foolish" praising his descision "but tomorrow we should do some training involving using your weapons while your hands are still injured, flinching due to pain or dropping your weapons due to your hands stinging is very dangerous in battle so you should get used to it in a safe situation so that you are more easily able to withstand the pain in the future, after all getting through the dungeon without getting injured in the slightest is an impossible dream"
"That doesn't sound pleasant but also sounds like something that will be helpful so thanks" Nero replied "oh yeah, before I came her I dropped by the guild to drop off my magic stones and items and they told me that this drop item that I got was unique and would be worth quite a bit and that I could either sell it or use it to create some weapons" taking out the fangs and placing them on the table in front of her "I was hoping to get your opinion on what I should do with them"
Picking up the fangs and tapping it with her finger Aurathia commented "well I'm not the kind of goddess that knows about items like this but if you wanted I could take them to Hephaestus and get her opinion on whether they should be used to make a weapon or not and if she thinks it would be a good idea we could even offer to sell them to her, after all her Familia is quite rich and I'm sure that many of the blacksmiths that work under her would enjoy working with a unique material"
"That sounds great thanks Aura"
"Don't mention it, by the way how much did they offer for these?" Aurathia asked, placing the fangs back on the table
"They said it would be worth at least 100,000 valis at least" Nero replied
"That's quite a bit of money" remarked Aurathia, her eyebrow raising at the price "that's at least double what some of Hephaestus's top level adventures pay me to train them"
"You get that much from training the blacksmiths from the Hephaestus Familia?" Nero exclaimed in shock
"Yeah, I do have the backing of Hephaestus herself and alot of Blacksmiths end up with stiff shoulders and it's amazing what the right training can do to sort that out" Aurathia smiled
"So just so that I know how much money does our Familia currently have?" Nero questioned
"Well thanks to not having to worry about food and lodgings due to living in a diner and your earnings in the dungeon combined with the money I get for training a few kids at Takemikazuchi's place and the money that I get for training Hephaestus's blacksmiths I'd say that we're nearing a million valis, not including the money that we would get if you were to sell these fangs" Aurathia replied, doing the math in her head
"We have that much money!?" Nero shouted in shock again
"Yep, this goes to show that I would have been able to make a Familia even if I never met you and I would have been fine without having to rely on anyone" smiled Aurathia proudly
"Well you are kind of relying on Takemikazuchi and Hephaestus" Nero noted
"I'm not relying on them, I am the one who is helping them and even if they weren't around I would have been able to find someone who appreciates my talents, people are always looking for strong workers after all" Aurathia replied confidently
"Well with that being the case I guess that means that if we earn a bit more we might be able to afford a new place to live so that we don't have to keep living here with my dad, we might even be able to afford a place with a bath" Nero suggested, remembering that Yumi wanted a bath for when she came to this world and honestly he wasn't opposed to the idea either as using a cold wet towel in the winter to clean himself off was not pleasant
"Sounds like a plan" smiled Aurathia "A nice bath after training is always nice, at the momment I'm just using a bucket of water from the well to clean off"
"You don't use the deities bathhouse, it's free for gods and goddesses" Nero questioned
"That's a thing" she blurtted out
"Yeah, you didn't know?"
"Nope but now that I do I now know where I will be going after my training sessions" she smiled "but having a house with our own private bathing area sounds nice as well, but that's for the future, the evening customers should be arriving soon so you should probably get the kitchen ready, we always seem to have more customers when you're cooking compared to your dad"
"Speaking of which where is dad?"
"He went out drinking, he said that he needed to relax after all of the exercising that I was making him do" sighed Aurathia
"He barely did anything didn't he?" Nero asked bluntly
"I've seen kids who lasted longer than him" Aurathia sighed "but enough about him, we've got customers to deal with, it's thanks to the money from them that we don;t have to worry about food expenses so we should make sure that we properly show our appreciation by feeding them properly" moving to the other room to change into her maid clothes that she used when working
"I suppose it is thanks to them" chuckled Nero as he moved to the kitchen, getting it ready for when the customers start arriving.
