Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Duel Arena

After returning home, I locked the door and drew the curtains shut.

The entire sequence of movements flowed smoothly, like water.

Tobirama dropped straight onto the sofa and let out a satisfied sigh.

"System, open the panel."

A light-blue interface unfolded before his eyes.

[Host: Uchiha Tobirama]

[Chakra Reserves: Kage-level (Tsunade's Blessing)]

[Taijutsu: Kage-level — Super Strength Punch, Strength of a Hundred Technique]

[Ninjutsu: Kage-level — Mastery of all chakra natures + Fire and Lightning specialization]

[Bloodline Limit: Three-Tomoe Sharingan]

[Overall Evaluation: Though only twelve years old, you already stand at the pinnacle of this world. This era belongs to you, Uchiha Tobirama.]

"Kage-level…"

Staring at those two words, Tobirama found it harder to suppress his grin than controlling the recoil of an AK.

So… am I already invincible?

Of course not.

The waters of the shinobi world ran deep—Six Paths Madara and Kaguya were still waiting at the top.

But during this period of the Second Shinobi World War, as long as he didn't do something suicidal like taking on all Five Great Nations alone, he could pretty much walk wherever he pleased.

"Next… let's see what this Duel Arena is about."

With a single thought, Tobirama's consciousness plunged into the system space.

The scenery shifted instantly.

Before him stood a massive Roman-style colosseum. Cheers roared from all sides, and a vast arena stretched out in the center.

The interface reminded him a little of the Naruto Mobile game he'd played in his previous life—similar, but not quite the same.

[Rules: One challenge per day.]

[Mode: 1v1 Duel.]

[Loadout: Two Summoning Beasts, one Secret Scroll.]

Tobirama glanced at the Summoning Beast list.

…All of them were grayed out.

[Unlock Summoning Beasts?]

[Newcomer Bonus: First recharge of 6 yuan—cough—first activation unlocks all Summoning Beasts.]

"System bro, you're generous!"

"So conscientious—unlocking everything with just a six-yuan first recharge. That's ten thousand times better than MoreFun."

Without hesitation, Tobirama unlocked them all.

As for the Secret Scroll?

Super Armor, obviously.

Real men fight head-on—who needs fancy tricks?

"Match."

Tobirama rubbed his hands together.

In his previous life, he'd been a top-tier player with a Super Kage rating of 2900. Even though he hadn't touched the game in twelve years after transmigrating, the instincts carved into his bones hadn't faded.

Beating an AI should be effortless.

[Match successful!]

[Opponent: Uchiha Itachi (Hundred Battles)]

A flash of light.

Across from him stood a young man wearing a missing-nin forehead protector, his body covered in wounds, clothes torn and battered.

Tobirama laughed.

"Oh? Isn't this Itachi?"

"Fine—today this senior will teach you how to behave."

He immediately selected his strongest ninja.

Taka Sasuke.

The countdown ended.

"Battle start!"

Tobirama opened with Chidori Katana, aiming to seize the initiative.

But the opponent responded instantly—Susanoo.

The full horizontal sweep smashed into Tobirama, blasting him straight into the air.

And then the nightmare began.

That Itachi repeatedly opened with Susanoo, chained into his first skill to bait out Substitution, followed up with a Summoning, chased with Amaterasu, and the moment Super Armor expired, dragged Tobirama back into yet another Susanoo opener and counter.

In the end, he finished cleanly with his Ultimate.

The combo was terrifyingly smooth.

Tobirama struggled desperately, but it was completely useless.

"What the hell is this execution?"

"Infinite firepower?!"

"Is this Peak Hundred Battles Itachi even human? He's disgustingly ruthless!"

All Tobirama could do was watch his health bar drain away like running water.

The opponent showed zero martial ethics—using basic attacks to bridge cooldowns, controlling rhythm perfectly, leaving not a single opening.

"YES!"

A massive DEFEAT slammed onto the screen.

Tobirama sat frozen on the sofa, face flushed, blood pressure spiking.

He was heated.

Absolutely furious.

"This is an AI?!"

"No way—this Hundred Battles Itachi is a 3000-point monster!"

"I'm a 2900 Super Kage and I couldn't even fight back. How is that logical?!"

He was so angry he nearly smashed his cup.

That Hundred Battles Itachi wasn't some ordinary Anbu-level AI—it was a rabid beast.

A mad dog with combat instincts carved into its bones.

"No… I'm not letting this go."

"Again!"

Tobirama clenched his teeth.

"Once a day, right? System, do you have an extra match card?"

[Ding! First defeat compensation detected. Additional challenge granted.]

"At least you've got some conscience."

Tobirama took a deep breath, his gaze sharpening.

"If you want to play dirty, then don't blame me for going further."

"Character select—Reanimated Madara."

The match loaded again.

The opponent was still that same Hundred Battles Itachi.

"Alright, grandson. Try your tricks again."

Battle start.

Itachi opened with Susanoo once more.

This time, Tobirama didn't panic—he dodged with movement.

When the opponent's first skill came in, he answered with Fire Release.

If he Substituted, Tobirama would chase with Super Armor Wood Dragon. Even if he got caught, it didn't matter—Counter Susanoo into Ultimate, then chain straight into another Ultimate.

The entire screen erupted into violent bombardment.

This was the true strength of the Anbu Emperor.

"YES!"

At last.

That hateful Itachi fell.

Tobirama exhaled deeply, his whole body relaxing.

"Phew… that felt good."

"If you're dealing with a dirty character, you have to use an even dirtier one."

[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for defeating the powerful enemy Hundred Battles Itachi!]

[Reward Acquired: Hundred Battles Itachi Outfit (Converted into 'Healthy Itachi' Strength Card). After use, the Host may wield Uchiha Itachi's peak power without any health concerns. While equipped, the Host gains permanent immunity to pain, toxins, and all health-related threats. Side effects of bloodline disease and Mangekyō blindness are completely removed.]

Tobirama froze for three full seconds.

Then he shot up from the sofa.

"…What?!"

"Healthy Itachi?! A Healthy Itachi with infinite chakra and no blindness?!"

"System, you're insane. If this doesn't make me broken, I'll eat ten Chakra Fruits."

What kind of concept was this?

Why had Itachi always held back in the original story? Why did he die so young?

Low chakra reserves. Failing eyesight. A frail body. An incurable bloodline disease.

And even then, he'd sealed Orochimaru and completely dominated Sasuke.

Now imagine a full-condition Itachi—no coughing, no restraint, free use of his eyes. Or worse, an enhanced version.

That would be the strongest existence beneath the Six Paths.

Spam Susanoo whenever you want.

Use Amaterasu to light a cigarette.

Turn Tsukuyomi into a bedtime story.

"Fuse. Fuse immediately!"

Boom—!

Cold, overwhelming ocular power surged into his eyes.

Tobirama felt his eyeballs tremble as his vision transformed.

The three tomoe spun violently, finally locking together into the iconic shuriken pattern.

Mangekyō Sharingan.

And one that never needed to fear blindness.

At the same time, countless combat memories flooded his mind—Itachi's years of slaughter in Anbu, his battles on the edge of life and death within Akatsuki.

Tobirama clenched his fist.

At this moment, he felt only one thing—

I want to fight ten people at once.

"From now on, anyone who dares raise their voice at me is getting a Tsukuyomi lesson."

"Danzo. Daimyō. Shinobi World War."

"I'm done eating beef."

Hokage Building. Hokage's Office.

Smoke hung thick in the air.

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sat behind his desk, pipe in hand, brows tightly knit.

Reports from the front lines were stacked high—Rain Country deadlocked, Sunagakure stirring, Iwagakure reinforcing its borders.

Konoha was in a difficult position.

"Old man, stop looking so gloomy."

Tsunade lounged on the sofa with her legs crossed, utterly lacking decorum.

"I've got good news."

"That Uchiha Tobirama is excellent material."

She paused, then corrected herself.

"No—he's a monster."

Hiruzen exhaled a ring of smoke, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"For you to say that… this child must be extraordinary."

"Tell me everything."

Tsunade summarized what had happened at the training field, conveniently skipping the more embarrassing parts. She focused on Tobirama's three-tomoe Sharingan, his self-developed Lightning Release, and his frightening combat intelligence.

"To possess this level of strength right after graduation…"

A sharp gleam flashed through Hiruzen's aged eyes.

"Tsunade, what do you think?"

"Is this child… like the other Uchihas?"

The question was sensitive.

The Uchiha clan was a double-edged sword to Konoha—used well, a divine weapon; mishandled, a ticking bomb.

Especially now, when cracks had already begun to form between the clan and the village.

Tsunade fell silent, recalling Tobirama's smile when he deliberately exposed a flaw, and his attitude toward his civilian teammates—aloof, but not contemptuous.

"He's different."

She shook her head firmly.

"He doesn't have that sickening Uchiha arrogance."

"He's wild on the surface, but extremely careful underneath."

"And… I saw traces of Uchiha Kagami in him—the one my Second Grandfather used to mention."

"Kagami…"

Hiruzen's expression softened.

That was his former comrade—the only Uchiha who truly inherited the Will of Fire.

If this child was like Kagami…

Then it would be a blessing for Konoha.

Hiruzen's thoughts raced.

They were short on manpower. If such a genius wasn't guided quickly, the radical elders might get to him first.

Worse still, he could become another Uchiha Madara.

He had to act before the boy's worldview solidified—engrave the Will of Fire into him early.

"Good. I understand."

Hiruzen tapped his pipe decisively.

"Tsunade, take special care in guiding this child."

"A genius can't be taught by conventional means."

"I don't expect him to abandon the Uchiha, but the village must come first in his heart."

"Tomorrow—no. Go now. Give him this."

He retrieved a scroll from a drawer and handed it to Tsunade.

She raised an eyebrow after taking it.

[Wind Release: Vacuum Bullets]

An A-rank jutsu developed by the Second Hokage—also one of Danzo's signature techniques.

"Old man, you're really going all out."

"You have to invest to reap rewards," Hiruzen said kindly. "Tell him it's the village's recognition of his talent."

"Fine. Leave it to me."

Tsunade pocketed the scroll and stood up.

As long as it didn't involve politics, she didn't mind taking on a disciple—especially an interesting one.

After she left, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows.

Leaning on a cane, half his face wrapped in bandages, a single eye glinting coldly.

Danzo Shimura.

"Hiruzen, you're too naive."

His voice rasped like metal scraping stone.

"An Uchiha is an Uchiha—an inherently evil clan."

"Granting them power is like raising a tiger."

"This Uchiha Tobirama should be handed to Root."

"Only in darkness can he be forged into the sharpest blade."

Hiruzen didn't turn around. He gazed at the Hokage Rock outside the window, his voice calm and absolute.

"Danzo. I am the Hokage."

"As long as the leaves dance, I will not abandon a single one."

"Even if he is an Uchiha."

Danzo snorted, saying no more, but the chill in his gaze deepened.

"You'll regret this, Hiruzen."

"One day, you'll realize… only I was right."
