Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: Immortal Body? Really? Let Me Try!

High above the Land of Demons, violent winds howled as clouds were torn apart.

Uchiha Tobirama manipulated gravity with ease, holding Shion as the two of them hovered tens of thousands of meters in the air, streaking across the sky like a falling star.

"Ah—! It's… it's too fast!"

Shion clutched Tobirama's collar tightly, curling into his arms and not daring to open her eyes. This speed far exceeded anything she had ever experienced—more than ten times faster than any bird.

After several seconds, she cautiously lifted her head, her delicate face filled with worry.

"Um… Lord Tobirama…"

She bit her lip, hesitating before speaking. "Are we really just charging straight into Yomi's lair like this? Don't we need to prepare anything first?"

"Prepare?"

Tobirama glanced down at her, amusement flickering in his eyes. "To deal with a few bugs, what preparation could possibly be necessary?"

"No, they're not bugs!" Shion quickly said, clearly flustered. "Mōryō isn't human—it's an ancient monster! Ordinary ninjutsu doesn't work on it. Only the power of a priestess can seal it…"

"And Yomi has already obtained Mōryō's physical body. He should have an immortal body now. If we rush in without—"

She was cut off.

"An immortal body?"

Tobirama scoffed, as though he had just heard a ridiculous joke.

"Little priestess, your view of the world is too narrow."

"In this world, nothing is truly unkillable. If something seems that way, it only means your firepower isn't strong enough."

The absolute confidence radiating from him left Shion momentarily speechless.

"But—"

"There is no 'but.'"

Tobirama tightened his arm around her slender waist, his tone utterly commanding. "Relax. Just watch carefully. Watch how I erase the thing you fear most."

"Hold on."

The Tenseigan–Rinnegan in his right eye contracted sharply.

Space-time distorted.

The space ahead shattered like glass, revealing a pitch-black void.

"Let's go."

---

At the border of the Land of Demons, deep underground, lay a hidden altar.

This was where Mōryō's physical body had been sealed—sunless year-round, the air thick with the stench of blood and decay.

The massive stone coffin was already open.

At the center of the altar stood a pale man in black robes, arms raised as he greedily absorbed the dark purple chakra surging from the coffin.

Yomi.

"Power… this is Lord Mōryō's power!"

He laughed wildly, feeling the violent energy flooding his body. "With this, I too have an immortal body! The entire ninja world will kneel before me!"

He had already sent his four subordinates to deal with that troublesome priestess. As long as Shion died, no one would be able to stop Mōryō's resurrection.

"The Five Great Nations? The Hokage?" Yomi sneered. "All trash!"

"Once I fully merge with Lord Mōryō, Konoha will be the first to fall. Uchiha Tobirama? I'll make him my obedient—"

Crack!

The stone ceiling above him split apart without warning, space itself tearing open like thin paper.

Two figures emerged from the void, hovering calmly in midair.

Uchiha Tobirama.

Shion.

"Make the Hokage a dog?" Tobirama said lazily, picking at his ear. "The wind was loud just now. Say that again?"

"W-who are you?!" Yomi stumbled back, chakra nearly spiraling out of control.

His gaze snapped upward—and froze when he saw Shion standing there unharmed.

"Priestess Shion?! How are you still alive?!"

"What about Kusuna and the others? What are those four idiots doing?!"

"You mean those four?" Tobirama replied casually. "They're already waiting for you."

His eyes turned icy.

"And you—did you just say you wanted me as your dog?"

A suffocating killing intent crashed down on Yomi like a mountain of corpses and blood.

His legs buckled.

"Y-you're… Uchiha Tobirama?"

Fear flashed across his face—but was quickly replaced by madness as he felt Mōryō's power roaring within him.

"So what if you are?!" Yomi screamed. "I've merged with Lord Mōryō! I'm no longer human—I'm immortal!"

"Ninjutsu is meaningless to me!"

His body began to swell grotesquely. Black-purple tentacles burst forth as he transformed into a massive monster covered in writhing serpent heads, filling the cavern with corrupt chakra.

"Die!"

Dozens of energy beams erupted from its maws, converging on Tobirama.

"Lord Tobirama—!" Shion cried out in panic.

Yet Tobirama didn't move.

Not even an inch.

"Immortal?" he said calmly. "Immune to ninjutsu?"

"Those words sound rather funny in front of Six Paths power."

Nine pitch-black spheres materialized behind him.

Truth-Seeking Orbs.

"Go."

One orb shot forward, piercing through the barrage—and straight through Mōryō's body.

"What—?!" Yomi screamed.

His so-called immortal body began to collapse, regeneration completely failing.

"It's not finished," Tobirama said coldly.

He raised his right hand. A transparent cubic barrier spun rapidly within his palm.

Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World — Enhanced.

"If you want a spectacle, I'll indulge you."

"Disappear."

Blinding white light engulfed the altar.

Screams lasted less than a second.

Then—silence.

When the light faded, Mōryō and Yomi were gone.

Completely erased.

Only a vast, perfectly smooth crater remained.

One move.

Instant annihilation.

---

Midair, Shion stared blankly at the scene below.

The monster that had haunted her land for centuries… was gone.

She slowly turned to look at Tobirama.

He stood there calmly, adjusting his cuffs as if nothing remarkable had happened.

Her heart pounded uncontrollably.

All her fear and anxiety vanished, replaced by overwhelming awe and trust.

"Scared?" Tobirama asked lightly, raising an eyebrow.

Shion snapped back to herself, her cheeks flushing.

"L-Lord Tobirama…" she whispered. "You really… ended it."

"I told you," he replied calmly. "It was nothing."

He pulled her closer, his voice low and steady.

"The mission is complete."

Shion nodded, holding onto him tightly, her gaze filled with gratitude and unwavering resolve.

From this moment on, the fate that had bound her since birth was gone.

And the man who stood before her was the one who had shattered it.
