Chapter 9 - Chapter 41: Tempest

The night was dark, heavier than any before. Clouds gathered above the frozen towers of the North, and cold winds whispered through the halls of the capital. Deep within the island's prison, a man sat in silence – his hands bound, his eyes calm.

It was Hasan – the man who once stood beside Siddik in every great war. The man who never feared death. The man who never surrendered to anyone.

Footsteps echoed down the hallway. The iron door creaked open, revealing King Fahad, wrapped in royal furs, his eyes burning with madness.

He stopped in front of Hasan's cell.

Fahad: "Still praying?"

Hasan: "Counting."

Fahad: "Counting what?"

Hasan: "The days left before this kingdom falls."

Fahad's eyes flared.

Fahad: "You think your God will send anyone to destroy me?"

Hasan: "I believe yes."

Fahad: "The HUNTERS is gone. The Revenants are in cells. Spiral has no army. Siddik is dead, maybe. Then what makes you think you can defeat me?"

Hasan: "I can see tension in your face. You still believe Siddik will come one day."

Fahad (shouting): "I am eternal. I have so many powers. None can do anything to me."

Hasan: "You know what, Fahad? Every soul will taste death. And yours is near."

Fahad (smirking): "I still wonder how a man can live with this pride and believe after losing everything."

Hasan: "Because our father hasn't taught us to lose. You and your father never witnessed my brother's rage. If he is still there, he is preparing to show you what you don't expect to see."

Fahad: "You know why I still didn't hurt you? Because I want Siddik here. And show him his family praying to live, to be protected. I know he can't see his family in trouble. The day he comes here, he'll face the enemy he never imagined."

Hasan: "Keep daydreaming. Because you are measuring his power without meeting him."

Fahad slammed his hand against the bars.

Fahad: "Enough! You were his shadows once. Now look at you – a prisoner dreaming of a comeback."

Hasan: "A king always knows how to fight a war. Magicians like you don't."

Silence. The king turned away, furious.

As Fahad reached the door, Hasan spoke again, his voice calm but sharp:

"Do you know why it's taking so much time?"

Fahad stopped.

"Because his inner monster has been sleeping for years. And to defeat a monster, you must let your own out."

Fahad left without another word, slamming the door behind him.

Days later, Tayeb, Rafi, Musa, and Rafiq sent secret letters to the King of Kharan, the Queen of Merid, and Henry Michael, the chief of the FROSTBANE organization. They used Siddik's seal to introduce themselves. Three days later, the replies arrived – all agreed to meet in secret.

Ten days later, the old allies gathered in the grand hall of the Kharan Kingdom. Thick curtains veiled the moonlight; every word was a whisper meant for trusted ears only.

At the head of the table sat King John Bolton, his golden armor dulled by exhaustion. Beside him, Queen Mary Tyler of Merid – wise, weary, and fierce-eyed. Across from them stood Henry Michael, the legendary tactician of FROSTBANE – his cloak dusted with snow from the northern front.

Bolton (grimly): "So… the rumors are true. That guy, Fahad, now claims the throne of the entire Spiral Island."

Mary: "And the taxes. He's taken fifty percent of everything. The people starve while he builds towers for himself."

Rafiq: "He also demanded a hundred soldiers from each kingdom. If this continues, no army will remain free."

Michael: "The man's not a ruler – he's a curse wrapped in a crown."

Tayeb: "If we can't stop him now, he'll turn the world into a furnace. He's using magic to twist minds. People chant his name as if he's divine."

Bolton: "You speak as if you've seen it."

Rafi: "Not only him, but also us."

Tayeb: "I saw what he did to those who refused his rule. He controls hearts like a puppeteer pulls strings."

Michael leaned back, arms crossed.

Michael: "What if we fail? You know what he is – a sorcerer. He bends life and death at will."

Mary (firmly): "Then we die trying. King Hayder and his sons were fair rulers. The people love him, but fear chains their tongues."

Bolton: "She's right. Fahad is pushing us to the edge. Even my generals whisper of rebellion."

Michael: "Where is Siddik in all this? If he were here, Fahad would've been ashes already."

Tayeb (lowering his gaze): "We're still searching. Five years, and no sign. Some say he's dead… others say he's watching from the shadows."

Rafiq: "Either way, we can't wait for him forever."

Bolton: "Then we plan our strike. From the shadows."

Rafi unrolled the map, his voice steady.

Rafi: "We attack from behind. If we fail, at least our people will live. We won't face him directly – not until we gather the rest of the allies."

Rafiq: "Yes. This will be our experiment on him. If we succeed, we will get others' help."

Mary: "Agreed. My army will support. Three hundred soldiers will follow your lead."

Bolton: "I will also send three hundred soldiers."

Michael: "Then let me provide my commanders. He knows your warriors, not mine. They all will fight under my banner."

Mary (nodding): "Then it's settled."

Bolton: "When do we move?"

Michael: "Two days from now. My commanders will arrive tomorrow at dawn."

Mary (quietly): "Governors, kings, warriors… thank you. You've chosen courage over comfort."

Rafi: "We had to. If Siddik were here, he would've done the same."

Musa (sign language): "FROSTBANE stood with us before. I trust you'll stand again."

Michael: "The Spiral Island gave us life when we had nothing. Siddik's father fed our people, sheltered our families, and armed our resistance. Also, Siddik fought for our justice; he secured the rights of our people. They're more than an ally – they are the reason we exist. Our people can die for him anytime."

Mary (softly): "Siddik conquered twelve realms with his own army. He brought peace through power and strategy. My son died during the siege of Merid. He joined the Spiral Crown and was dead in the hands of Siddik. But I never hated him, nor does my younger son. Because Siddik fought for justice, for people's rights."

Bolton: "And because of him, this island still stands. I just hope he's alive – and ready to return."

The meeting ended under the veil of midnight. One by one, cloaked figures slipped out of the hall, their footsteps vanishing into the mist. The night air smelled of rebellion.

The next morning, Henry Michael dispatched four of his elite and loyal commanders toward Kharan. Queen Mary sent three hundred trained soldiers. The alliance's armies moved in silence, their blades wrapped in cloth, banner hidden.

Six hundred soldiers.

Four secret leaders.

One single purpose – to end Fahad's dark reign.

Every soldier, every rebel, every believer in Siddik's name…waited for the signal.

That night, Tayeb stood at the edge of his headquarters. Rafiq, Musa, Rafi, and Tayeb were in a group call through their encrypted software.

Rafiq: "You think we'll succeed?"

Tayeb (after a pause): "If we do, the dawn will return to this island. If we fail…"

He exhaled slowly.

Tayeb: "…then the world will drown in his darkness."

The wind howled outside, carrying the scent of rain and the promise of blood. The storm was coming. And this time, it wouldn't stop until everything burned.
