Chapter 20 - Chapter Nineteen: The Truth of the First Collapse

Azael raised his hand.

"This ends now."

But the High Null interrupted.

"No."

All attention shifted.

Even Azael paused.

The High Null turned slightly toward Gideon.

"You were not destroyed," it said.

"You were sealed inside the result."

Lyra's breath slowed.

"…What does that mean?"

The battlefield dimmed.

And then—

The truth unfolded.

Not as memory.

As reconstruction.

The first universe was not destroyed by war.

Not by gods.

Not by chaos.

It was destroyed by a single concept:

Gideon Goddard.

Not this version.

The original.

A being so complete that existence could not differentiate itself from him.

A constant that erased all contradiction.

A reality that could not tolerate its own perfection.

So everything ended.

And from the remains—

This universe was built.

A correction layer.

A containment simulation.

A prison disguised as existence.

Lyra stepped back.

"No…"

Gideon stood very still.

For the first time—

He looked afraid.

Not of death.

But of being remembered correctly.

Azael finally spoke.

"…You were the end that ended everything."

A silence fell.

And then—

The Null Sanctum activated full erasure protocol.

Reality began disappearing.

Layer by layer.

Including the concept of standing still.
