Inside absolute erasure—
There was no pain.
Only absence trying to justify itself.
Gideon stood at the center of it.
And for the first time—
He spoke to it directly.
"I remember you now."
The High Null paused.
"You should not retain continuity."
Gideon nodded.
"I shouldn't exist at all."
Silence.
Then—
"I was the First Collapse," he said.
"And I accept that."
The Null trembled.
Because acceptance was not part of its system.
Gideon raised his hand.
But not to fight.
To rewrite.
"If I am the origin of ending…"
His body began dissolving.
"…then I redefine ending as transition."
The First Collapse inverted.
Not erased.
Not destroyed.
Converted.
From termination—
To passage.
The High Null screamed for the first time.
Not in sound.
In system failure.
And for the first time in eternity—
It did not know how to continue.
