Wu Xuan was not a native of this world.
He was a transmigrator—or more accurately, he had been reborn. There was nothing particularly mystical about how it happened; he had simply drifted off to sleep while binge-watching anime and woke up in a new reality.
Once he learned that this world was defined by superpowers known as "Quirks," he realized he had been dropped into the parallel world of My Hero Academia.
When Wu Xuan was reborn and reached the age of five, his own power finally awakened. To his utter shock, it manifested as the signature ability of Dio Brando, the final boss of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: the Stand known as [The World].
Essentially, it allowed him to summon a spiritual guardian, a concept not entirely unlike Tokoyami's Dark Shadow. However, through rigorous training, Wu Xuan discovered that his version of The World differed slightly from Dio's. For instance, he had yet to unlock its ultimate technique—the absolute ability to freeze time: The World: Time Stop.
Nevertheless, a Stand is a reflection of its user's growth. Even at fifteen, Wu Xuan's Stand possessed close-quarters combat prowess that rivaled the original Dio's. He knew that awakening the ability to stop time was merely a matter of time and personal evolution.
Unlike the original lore where only Stand users can see Stands, Wu Xuan's ability manifested as a Quirk in this world. This meant that the golden-armored entity was visible to everyone—a tangible, terrifying force.
By now, the police had cordoned off the area. One officer, Naomasa Tsukauchi, stepped toward Wu Xuan with a deep scowl.
"Wu Xuan, a student at Orudera Junior High, correct? Are you aware that the unauthorized use of a Quirk is a direct violation of the Quirk Management Law?"
In Japan, the laws are ironclad: without a Pro Hero license, using one's Quirk on others—especially for combat—is strictly forbidden. Wu Xuan hadn't just used his Quirk; he had engaged in a violent confrontation, a serious offense in the eyes of the law.
Wu Xuan offered a thin smile but didn't bother answering the charge. Instead, he leaned back slightly. "Doesn't the Japanese constitution state that anyone who recovers lost property is entitled to a reward of five to twenty percent of its value from the owner?"
He hefted the bag of banknotes and chuckled. "There's at least a hundred million yen in here. Hand over ten million as a finder's fee, and we're even, right?"
Tsukauchi's frown deepened. By the book, he should be arresting Wu Xuan right alongside the bank robber. As the tension between the teenager and the police began to simmer, the girl with the ponytail from earlier rushed into the circle, waving her hands frantically.
"I'm sorry! Excuse me!"
"You're... the daughter of the Yaoyorozu family?" Tsukauchi asked, momentarily distracted.
"Yes, I am Momo Yaoyorozu," she said with a polite nod before turning her gaze to the officer. "This... classmate just saved our bank. Please, Officer, could you show some leniency?"
Tsukauchi hesitated, torn between the law and the influence of the prestigious Yaoyorozu name.
"A tedious system of management," Wu Xuan spat with a cold laugh. Realizing the ten million yen wasn't coming his way, he dropped the heavy bag of cash onto the pavement like trash and turned to walk away.
"Hey! Wait a minute!"
"You aren't cleared to leave yet!"
Several officers moved to block his path, their hands hovering near their belts.
"I'm really not in a good mood right now," Wu Xuan muttered, his brow furrowing.
The moment he raised his hand, [The World] shimmered into existence. The golden phantom took a menacing combat stance, radiating an aura of such overwhelming pressure that the surrounding officers involuntarily swallowed hard.
In a society where eighty percent of the population has a Quirk, the remaining twenty percent are "normal." Many of these officers fell into that category or possessed minor Quirks unsuitable for hero work—hence why they were often mockingly dismissed as "villain receptionists." Facing a Stand of this caliber, they felt a primal sense of dread.
"Hey! Everyone, calm down!" Momo Yaoyorozu cried out, her voice laced with worry.
"HA HA HA HA HA!"
A boisterous, booming laugh cut through the tension, vibrating in everyone's chest. A second later, the ground groaned and shuddered as something slammed down from the sky.
The crowd's fear vanished instantly, replaced by a look of fervent, near-religious worship.
The man wore a simple white t-shirt and green cargo pants—hardly the flashy costume of a superstar. But his towering, muscular frame, the two iconic tufts of hair standing defiant, and that signature, fearless grin were unmistakable.
It was the Symbol of Peace. The Number One Hero: All Might.
"It's All Might!"
"The Number One! He's actually here!" The street erupted into a frenzy of cheers.
Tsukauchi exhaled in relief. "All Might?"
"I was doing some shopping on the next block when I heard the commotion," All Might said, his voice booming with confidence. "Sorry I'm late!"
As he spoke, his sharp blue eyes locked onto Wu Xuan and the golden specter hovering beside him. His eyes narrowed slightly in appraisal.
"You have a remarkably powerful Quirk there, young man!"
Wu Xuan stared back. Even if his knowledge of the original series was a bit hazy, he knew exactly who he was looking at: the pinnacle of power in this world. The strongest hero, All Might.
