Chapter 178 - I Figured You Guys Didn't Want Them Anymore

After finishing up, Motoki Yaze looked at Ren Isana. "Class Rep, it's done. They probably don't even know who hit them."

Ren nodded without a word. *This guy's talent really is way too convenient for dirty work.* He then turned his gaze to Enju Aihara.

"So, do you want to head over there? If you stay here, others will just keep coming to capture you." Ren looked at her quietly, waiting for her answer.

Hearing this, Enju glanced at the companions behind her and made up her mind on the spot. After swallowing the food in her hands, she asked, "Are you really not lying to me? You're not like those other people here to catch us?"

Ren reached out and lightly flicked her forehead. "If we wanted to catch you," he said with a helpless sigh, "do you think we'd be sitting here chatting with you? We would have just made our move."

Rubbing the spot where Ren had flicked her, Enju nodded. "Okay, I believe you. What do you need me to do?"

She didn't agonize over it any further. Ren was right—if he wanted to capture them, he wouldn't need to sit around explaining things. He could have just taken them by force, and no one would have been able to stop him.

"You don't need to do anything. I'll teleport you over, and someone will be there to receive you." As Ren spoke, he extended a finger. A purple [Magic Circle] formed and instantly imprinted itself onto Enju's forehead.

Seeing this, Enju touched her forehead but felt nothing out of the ordinary. Ren then stood up and began placing the same mark on the other little ones.

Compared to Enju, the other children were already full of trust toward the person who had given them food. A few moments later, all dozen or so girls had been marked with the spatial imprint.

"If you're ready, I'll send you over now!" Ren announced, looking at the group of children.

They nodded, their eyes brimming with anticipation. They were deeply yearning for a new life. Seeing this, Ren didn't hesitate and directly activated the [Magic Circles] on their bodies.

As the magic flared to life, Enju and the others immediately tensed up. The next second, their vision blurred, and they were teleported completely out of this world.

"Done. Man, they were cautious." Watching the spot where the children had just vanished, Ren let out a sigh of relief. He had finally managed to win them over, but their guard had been incredibly high.

"I hope they can get along well over there. Those kids are so wary of absolutely everyone," Asuna remarked as she walked up to Ren and handed him a bottle of water.

From the moment they first laid eyes on them, the girls had been extremely defensive, even launching an attack right off the bat. It was obvious just how deeply they distrusted strangers.

"Natsuki Minamiya is over there, so it shouldn't be a big issue," Ren replied casually, taking the water from Asuna and taking a sip.

The rest of the class gathered around. Now that this matter was settled, it was time to get moving—especially since they had just launched a long-range strike on a fully armed convoy.

"Let's go. We need to leave this area first." Wasting no time, Ren gave the order and started walking toward the city. The others quickly followed. After walking a short distance, Ren suddenly remembered something.

He turned back to look at the distant spot where the children had been hiding. After a moment of thought, he raised his hand and fired off a [Piercing Magic Bullet]. The attack shot straight into the sewer pipe.

A muffled boom echoed out the next second. The entire area instantly collapsed, turning into a pile of rubble in the blink of an eye. Having covered their tracks, Ren finally walked away without looking back.

The others didn't say anything. Now that the hideout was destroyed, anyone coming to look for the children wouldn't find a single trace. The group continued their trek straight toward the city.

"Aren't we a bit too conspicuous like this? Should we split up to go in?" Sora asked, looking at their massive group. Fifty-five people traveling together was bound to draw attention no matter how you looked at it.

Hearing her suggestion, Ren thought for a moment before replying, "Let's break into our squads and enter from different locations. We'll regroup once we find a secure place. Ais, your squad will come with us."

Aside from Ren's combined group, everyone else would act independently and stay in touch via their phones. As for why he specifically called Ais's squad to join them? Naturally, it was because he needed Asagi Aiba's skills.

The others didn't overthink it and quickly dispersed, heading toward the city from various directions. Once everyone else had left, Ais and the rest of her squad turned to look at Ren.

"Asagi, I need you to find someone for me. Preferably a girl who comes from a ridiculously wealthy family but lives alone."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Asuna and the others stared at Ren with incredibly weird expressions.

*What is he trying to do? Did he come to this world just to find a sugar mommy?* Asuna couldn't help but curse him in her head. *How is the person he's looking for any different from me? Is my family not rich? Do I not live alone?!*

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Ren asked, feeling a bit speechless at their bizarre stares. "We can't exactly sleep on the streets, can we? Keep in mind, we're completely undocumented here. An ordinary person wouldn't have the space to house us, nor would they have a way for us to get in touch with Seitenshi."

"A way to contact Seitenshi?" Asagi muttered. "Let me see... Seitenshi is actually still a student. I'll start by looking into her circle of friends. Someone rich who might have access to her... Got it. How about this one?"

After tapping rapidly on her phone for a few moments, Asagi held the screen up to Ren.

Displayed on the screen was a profile of a beautiful black-haired girl wearing a kimono. She looked to be about the same age as them, but her background was anything but simple.

"The eldest daughter of Shiba Heavy Industries. Her family deals in arms manufacturing, though they aren't locals?" Yukino Yukinoshita read the information aloud.

Seeing that Asagi had actually locked onto Miori Shiba, Ren nodded in approval. This young lady was a perfect target. She genuinely had a way to contact Seitenshi, and her social standing was more than high enough.

"Can you track her current location?" Ren asked Asagi directly, essentially confirming that Miori was their target.

"She lives alone right now, but there are quite a few bodyguards stationed around her villa," Asagi replied, putting her phone away. She pulled out her laptop and quickly pinpointed Miori Shiba's residence.

The location was in an affluent district. Not only was the villa itself guarded, but the entire surrounding area was patrolled by security forces. Glancing at the map, Ren immediately made the call. "Alright, send me the coordinates. We'll go find her first. Send her home's location to the others as well. Her place is pretty huge—looks like we've got our accommodation sorted for tonight."

Ren made the decision on the spot. *Miss Shiba, here we come. I wonder if the young lady will be scared out of her wits?* At that thought, the corners of Ren's mouth curled up slightly.

"OK, I've sent it to the group chat." Asagi's efficiency was off the charts. Truth be told, she fully approved of this plan. Once this rich heiress realized their true identities and strength, she would likely be very cooperative.

After all, children from wealthy families understood how to weigh pros and cons better than anyone. A brand-new world, a completely new power system, and she would be the very first point of contact. If she didn't know how to cooperate under those circumstances, she would be a complete failure of an heir!

With the plan set, the group immediately headed into the city. As they approached the checkpoint from the outskirts, the local security forces spotted their ten-person group and immediately surrounded them, demanding to see their identification.

Of course, Ren and the others didn't have physical IDs. They simply rattled off the ID numbers Asagi had forged for them and told the guards to look it up themselves.

Hearing that they didn't have their ID cards, the guards frowned in confusion. "Did something happen to you all? Why are there so many people who lost their luggage today?"

Hearing this, Ren let out a heavy sigh and explained, "The Gastrea outside have been way too active lately. We actually lost most of our luggage while escaping. Otherwise, we wouldn't be traveling with just these small bags. Do you need to inspect them?"

This excuse had been agreed upon beforehand. The guards immediately understood upon hearing Ren's explanation. As for inspecting their bags? Once the system verified their forged identities, there was no need for a search.

Confirming that there were no issues and that none of them were Cursed Children, the guards waved them through. After all, their identities appeared perfectly legitimate, and their high rankings could even be found in the IISO database.

Having successfully infiltrated the city, Ren and the others exchanged glances before springing into action, heading straight for their destination. The rest of the class was already on the move as well.

Some of the other squads were already halfway there. Everyone blended in like ordinary civilians walking in the same general direction. Only when they reached secluded areas did they begin to conceal themselves.

Thanks to the stealth and assassination techniques Instructor Yor had taught them, suppressing their presence to avoid detection was a piece of cake.

Ren's group arrived at their destination. Staring at the heavily guarded entrance to the villa district, Ren turned his gaze to Megumi Kato.

Sensing Ren's look, Megumi nodded. She silently activated her innate talent, instantly dropping the presence of Ren and the entire group to absolute zero. With that done, Megumi led the way as they casually strolled right through the front gates.

The fully armed security guards at the entrance acted as if Ren and the girls were completely invisible. The group walked straight through the main gates and into the compound. As for the rest of the class, they hadn't entered yet.

The other squads were loitering outside, waiting for Ren's signal. They wouldn't move in until Ren had successfully secured the location—or perhaps someone would come out to escort them in later.

Having effortlessly bypassed the perimeter, Ren's group made their way toward Miori Shiba's villa. Halfway there, Asagi spoke up. "She's already inside the villa. Looks like she just got back not too long ago."

Ren nodded and silently picked up the pace. The ten of them soon arrived outside Miori's residence. Aside from the patrolling bodyguards, the exterior of the villa was rigged with various security cameras, infrared sensors, and other surveillance equipment.

If anyone tried to force their way in, the alarms would trigger instantly, and the intruders would be shot full of holes. Ren swept his gaze over the villa's defenses, then peered inside to see Miori eating dinner alone. He then looked over at Asagi.

Asagi looked up at the villa, her eyes locking onto one of the security cameras. A faint surge of electricity released from her body and vanished into the camera in the blink of an eye. A moment later, she gave Ren a nod.

Hacking into this kind of system was literal child's play for her. Having Asagi around made things incredibly convenient. Otherwise, Ren would have had to sneak in with Megumi and say hello by holding a knife to Miori's throat.

Avoiding the bodyguards, Ren and the others easily vaulted into the villa. The internal cameras and alarms remained completely unresponsive as the group slipped inside without making a sound.

Conveniently, the door leading from the courtyard into the house was wide open. Inside, Miori Shiba was happily enjoying her gourmet dinner. Not far from her, a large TV was broadcasting the evening news.

Reaching the entrance, Ren and his group simply walked right in. The ten of them abruptly entered Miori's dining room. Ren, bringing up the rear, casually pulled the courtyard door shut behind him.

The click of the door shutting instantly alerted Miori. When she turned her head and saw Ren's group standing there, her eyes widened in shock. *What the hell? When did so many people get into my house?!*

Miori stared at them, looking as if she had just seen a ghost. She couldn't believe her own eyes. Completely dumbfounded by the group of strangers standing in her home, she even forgot to scream for help.

After casually closing the door, a purple [Magic Circle] flared to life beneath Ren's feet. In an instant, Miori's dining room was completely isolated from the outside world.

"Hello~!" Having secured the room, Ren offered her a cheerful, smiling greeting. Miori was still in a state of utter bewilderment—an expression so priceless Ren almost wanted to take a picture.

Hearing Ren's voice, Miori slowly snapped back to reality. She subconsciously replied, "Hello..."

"Wait, no! Who are you people?!" Snapping fully awake, Miori glared at the group with intense vigilance. Instinctively, she reached to press a hidden device concealed in her sleeve.

"Good evening, Miss Shiba. Please don't make any sudden movements," Ren said smoothly as he walked over to the dining table, pulled out a chair, and sat down beside her. "Besides, even if you try something, it won't work. I've already sealed off this space with [Spatial Lockdown]. No matter what you try to do, it's useless."

Refusing to believe him, Miori pressed the button a few times, but it truly did absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, Asagi was looking around the room with curiosity. Checking her phone, she said in surprise, "A literal, physical network disconnect. [Spatial Magic] really is absurd!"

There wasn't a single bar of signal left. This kind of magic was a hard counter to her abilities—it was basically the magical equivalent of pulling her ethernet cable.

Listening to their exchange, Miori was completely baffled. *Magic? Are they joking? How could magic exist in this world?* Shocked to her core, she stared at the intruders.

Aside from Ren, who was the only male, the rest were all girls... *This shouldn't be too dangerous, right? Probably...*

However, since they had gone out of their way to break into her home like this, they definitely needed her to do something for them.

Miori quickly calmed down. She looked at Ren with absolute composure, realizing that among this group, he was clearly the one calling the shots.

"My name is Ren Isana, and we are people from another world. Miss Shiba, I have a business proposition for you. Care to hear me out?" Ren had been watching Miori's shifting expressions the entire time.

He had to admit, these rich kids were truly built differently. Especially those groomed as heirs—none of them were fools, and their psychological resilience was terrifyingly strong.

Hearing Ren's words, a stormy sea of shock surged in Miori's heart. *People from another world?*

*What kind of sick joke is this...? But their methods...*

"You don't need to doubt the authenticity of my words. For example, this kind of power absolutely does not exist in your world." Seeing her uncertain expression, Ren immediately raised his hand and condensed a sphere of Magic Power.

The moment that sphere of energy appeared, Miori's sixth sense screamed in frantic warning. The person sitting in front of her could vaporize her in an instant!!

Taking a deep breath to suppress the terror in her heart, Miori spoke slowly. "And what exactly does Mr. Isana wish to collaborate on?"

This was a crisis, but it was also an opportunity. It all depended on whether she knew what was good for her. If she didn't, the other party would gladly *teach* her. She understood that perfectly.

"A portal to your world has appeared in ours. Right now, we can come over whenever we want. And in the future, once the passage between our two worlds fully opens, your people will be able to cross over as well," Ren explained slowly, laying out the facts.

Hearing this news, Miori's expression instantly changed. This wasn't necessarily good news. People from their world could come over whenever they pleased? Meanwhile, her world knew absolutely nothing about them or their situation.

At the same time, she realized that an unprecedented opportunity had just fallen into her lap. The other world possessed magic, and they were actively seeking her out for a partnership!!

At that moment, Miori's heart began to pound uncontrollably. If this was true, the benefits her family could reap would be unimaginably massive.

"May I ask... what is it that you want?" Though she was incredibly excited, Miori forced herself to remain calm. She needed to figure out their motives first. *They couldn't possibly be here to conquer the world, right?*

"Actually, we're just a bunch of university students. Our teacher tossed us over here with an assignment to solve our world's declining birth rate," Ren said with a bashful smile, delivering a statement that left Miori utterly dumbfounded. "And well, doesn't your world have a ton of unwanted children? So, we figured we'd just take all of them back with us. But since we don't have any connections here, we decided to come find you."
