Chapter 220 - Chapter 220 A Single Basic Magic Book for a Whole Library!

Beatrice was not accustomed to sharing her space with strangers, so she really wished this man would just leave already; otherwise, she felt uneasy all over!

Faced with Beatrice's attempt to drive him away, Ren Isana didn't mind. Instead, he spoke up, asking, "I wonder if I might browse the magic books in your library? In exchange, I can provide you with some magic knowledge from our side."

Ren Isana offered a deal to Beatrice. He was truly envious of the magic books here, and if given the chance, he naturally wanted to study them thoroughly.

Hearing Ren Isana say this, Beatrice's interest was piqued. "Let me see the magic books from your side first!"

Beatrice thought to herself that it would be fine, but she had to inspect the goods first. She wouldn't let him fool her with some random, trashy magic.

Ren Isana didn't refuse. He reached into his Spatial Ring, took out a magic book, and handed it over. "You can take a look at this first. This is the magic logic of our world."

Beatrice hurriedly took it and began reading with anticipation. "Go see whatever you want to see, just don't disturb me!"

After saying that, she began to seriously browse the contents of the book. Although the script was different, she quickly understood the information. As a library spirit, her abilities were naturally extraordinary.

Ren Isana also picked up a magic book at random and began flipping through it. Although he didn't quite recognize the script of this world, it didn't matter. He would recognize it after a few more reads, and he could always force himself to memorize it first.

He quickly flipped through the book he had grabbed, memorizing it rapidly. He finished one book after another. While Beatrice had barely turned two pages, Ren Isana had already finished two entire volumes.

This scene left Beatrice full of questions. She looked at Ren Isana with a confused expression. "What are you doing? Just flipping through them?"

Beatrice frowned. *Is this guy here just to cause trouble?* If he kept this up, she would get angry; he was being far too distracting.

"Don't worry about me. My memory is quite good, and I learn very quickly. I can basically memorize anything I see once and then master it rapidly," Ren Isana said as he picked up a third book.

Hearing Ren Isana say this, Beatrice's brow furrowed even deeper. She looked at him and saw that he didn't seem to be bragging, so she simply couldn't be bothered to care anymore. Instead, she spoke up to warn him, "Be quieter. You're disturbing me."

Ren Isana waved his hand to indicate he understood and continued flipping through the books. Watching the speed at which he turned the pages, Beatrice suddenly felt like something was wrong.

*This guy only gave her one book, and then he went off to browse all her books as he pleased. Isn't there something wrong with this? Wouldn't she be at a loss?*

Looking at the magic book in her hand and then at the situation on Ren Isana's side, Beatrice felt a little unhappy. However, she didn't say anything more. Since the other party wanted to read, then let him. She would ask for more from him once she finished this one.

The magic logic of this other world was actually quite interesting, which made her considerably intrigued. Thus, Beatrice soon became immersed in the knowledge in her hands.

"Ren Isana, where did you go?" While Ren Isana was browsing the magic books, Asuna's voice suddenly rang out. The [Magic Mark] in his hand glowed.

Asuna, who had returned to her room, couldn't find Ren Isana and was somewhat puzzled. She even briefly suspected if he had simply up and left after getting what he wanted. *After doing something like that, is he just going to play a vanishing act with me today?*

"What's wrong? I'm in a library," Ren Isana replied to Asuna's message while continuing to flip through the books.

On the other end, Asuna was full of questions when she heard this. A library? She turned a puzzled gaze toward Emilia. "Emilia, is there a library here in the Count's Manor?"

Faced with Asuna's inquiry, Emilia was momentarily stunned before she explained, "If there's no mistake, Ren Isana probably went into Beatrice's library. That library is located in a separate dimension, and only those with a fated connection can enter."

If any place could be called a library, it was that one. Ren Isana actually managed to get in? That was truly rare, and Beatrice hadn't kicked him out after all this time.

Hearing Emilia's words, Asuna nodded. It seemed he hadn't just hit it and quit it. Thinking this, Asuna continued to Ren Isana, "Come back and eat breakfast!"

Ren Isana, who was reading, thought for a moment and then said, "You eat first. Don't worry about me; I want to keep reading."

Rather than spending time eating, he would rather memorize more magic. This library was so vast that Ren Isana intended to live here for the next period of time. Otherwise, Beatrice might not let him in next time.

After all, he was reading so many of her books while she had only seen one. She was bound to be unhappy later, and getting back in might not be so easy.

When Asuna heard this, she immediately understood. She said no more and ended the communication with Ren Isana, then returned to the dining room with Emilia.

When Rem went to deliver food to Beatrice, Asuna followed along to bring something for Ren Isana. When she stepped into this separate dimension, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes.

This place was truly huge, and it was filled entirely with magic books? Feeling curious, Asuna observed her surroundings, and then her gaze landed on Beatrice. When she saw the little girl, Asuna's eyes immediately lit up.

She was truly adorable. Asuna, her maternal instincts overflowing, greeted Beatrice with a gentle expression. "Hello there! I'm Asuna Yuuki. Sorry for the intrusion!"

This feeling... Beatrice was momentarily stunned. *Why did she feel a sudden urge to call this woman 'Mama'?* Beatrice felt a bit flustered, but she hurriedly greeted her back. "H-Hello."

"Lady Beatrice, breakfast is here. Please enjoy!" Rem spoke up at that moment. She placed the breakfast she had brought onto the dining table, gesturing for Beatrice to eat.

"Mm... thank you for the trouble," Beatrice nodded, then put down her book to eat breakfast.

Rem knew Beatrice's personality well, so she didn't mind. Instead, she waited quietly by the side for her to finish. Meanwhile, Asuna walked over to Ren Isana and gestured for him to eat breakfast first.

Ren Isana put down his book and sat down next to Beatrice to eat. Beatrice glanced at him and then slowly said, "You need to keep giving me new magic books. I've almost finished that one!"

She wasn't being polite at all and directly demanded them from Ren Isana. After all, this guy had looked through quite a few of her magic books, while she had only seen one.

Faced with Beatrice's demand, Ren Isana didn't refuse. Instead, he took out the books he had from high school. "Take all of these. Although they are just ordinary books, the knowledge in them is real. They're all yours."

Beatrice's eyes lit up when she heard this. If that was the case, she wouldn't hold a grudge against Ren Isana for taking advantage of her. Thinking of this, Beatrice couldn't help but ask, "Do you intend to memorize every single magic in this entire library?"

When she said this, she was very certain. She was one hundred percent sure that Ren Isana intended to do exactly that. She had to admit, he was a greedy fellow.

"That's right! Is that not allowed?" Ren Isana looked at her with a puzzled gaze. Why was she asking so suddenly? Did she have an objection?

"Hmph! I'm only giving you two days. Otherwise, it's too unfair to Betty! Betty has only read one of your books, yet you've already memorized an entire shelf of magic books!" Mentioning this, she shot him a glare.

She was really coming out on the short end. The few books Ren Isana gave her would probably take her a few days to read, and in that time, this guy could probably record the entire library.

Just thinking about it felt like a massive loss, so she directly compressed the time. She would only give Ren Isana two days; how much he could read was up to his own ability!

Ren Isana thought for a moment and then nodded. "Two days is enough. Don't worry, I won't disturb you too much."

After finishing one shelf, Ren Isana actually didn't need to look at many of the other magic books. Once he understood the logic of the magic, he could roughly deduce the nature of a spell just by seeing its name.

Therefore, what Ren Isana needed to find next were more rare magics, such as those of the [Time Magic] or [Spatial Magic] systems. These were his true goals. As for [Elemental Magic], Ren Isana intended to skip them entirely.

He planned to skip them because [Elemental Magic] in his hands was just like Asuna—he could mold it however he wanted. He didn't need books to learn it.

After saying this, Beatrice ignored Ren Isana. She quickly finished her food and went back to reading. She also needed to hurry up and finish the books Ren Isana gave her so she could ask for new ones!

Ren Isana finished his breakfast, said a word to Asuna, and then buried his head back into those magic books. Asuna also understood Ren Isana's thoughts, so she didn't stay to disturb him.

At lunch, Asuna came back with Rem to deliver food to Ren Isana and Beatrice. It wasn't until evening that Ren Isana stopped and went out to have dinner with everyone.

"How were your gains, Mr. Ren Isana? Was the magic of our world helpful to you?" Emilia asked, her gaze turning toward him.

Hearing Emilia's words, Ren Isana nodded. "My gains were quite large. I was especially surprised to see that your world actually possesses [Time Magic]. I've certainly broadened my horizons today."

Ren Isana shared some of the magic knowledge he had seen today. Emilia was able to chime in from time to time because she was familiar with many of the spells.

After eating and drinking their fill, Ren Isana and Asuna returned to their room to rest. A [Silence Magic] barrier lit up within the room, and the two soon fell asleep.

By the second day, Ren Isana had returned to Beatrice's library to continue recording. In just two days, he had recorded many of the extremely rare magic books in Beatrice's collection.

When Beatrice saw Ren Isana stop, she was also struck with amazement. She asked with some confusion, "You're not going to keep reading? You don't need any more magic?"
