Home was the only place that kept changing, yet the feelings it carried would remain until the very end.

"Haha, faith points are so easy for me!" Furina happily strode through the whole village. "Let's see… it's already been two hours. Points must have piled up a lot."

[FP: 140]

"It might look small to me, but how much is it really? Tell me, System."

[Ding: That depends on what you need to do.]

"Depends on me?" Furina was stunned, not understanding clearly. "Does that mean I can just pop out a soul ring for myself?"

[Ding: Nope.]

[Ding: You may achieve divinity through the System, but you are not yet divine. You cannot break the rules of the Douluo plane set by the gods.]

"So that means I have to hunt rings myself…" Furina scratched her nose in disappointment.

[Ding: Yes. But you can also use faith points for temporary strengthening during battle, or convert FP into items, or increase the age of a soul ring.]

"Hmm, that's way better than I imagined. I want raspberry‑flavored candy!"

[Ding: 1 Faith Point deducted.]

[Ding: 1 raspberry‑flavored candy stored in inventory.]

"Huh?" Furina's eyes lit up as she pulled the candy from her inventory. It had no wrapper, not that it was needed. "It really works! I have to work harder to gather more faith. Hmm… slurp… tasty."

It had been six years since she'd eaten proper flavored candy. In the Douluo Continent, only sugar candy was available which is too tough and hard to savor.

"When will the academy start? A person with soul power should give more FP than a non‑soul master."

Finally, she reached the river, just five minutes' walk from the village. Many people were already on their boats, setting fishing nets, while old men sat by the water sipping tea, smiling as they watched the younger folk at work.

At the riverbank, everyone saw a wild "Fufu" appearing and immediately grew happy. One of the old man stepped forward.

"Little Furina, you finally came! I thought you wouldn't, since you must be preparing for the Soul Master Academy."

Hearing the voice, Furina turned her head, saw a familiar face, and smiled. "Grandpa Joe, are you here to fish?"

The old man patted her head. "Ow, ow—stop it, don't mess up my hair!" Furina resisted the head pat with force and finally pulled herself free from the predicament.

"Ohhoo, well I'm here to watch my son fish. Alas, my grandson didn't awaken soul power, so my son is teaching him our family trade. That way he can make a living in the future and settle down without worry." He sighed as he spoke.

"Is that so?" Furina replied with a touch of confusion. "He'll learn in time. With a grandfather like you, he won't suffer much in life."

Grandpa Joe chuckled, handed her a small wooden cup of tea, and said: "Hahaha, isn't that right? Here, drink some tea with me and enjoy watching them fish."

"Okay." Furina accepted the cup, sat by the riverbank with Grandpa Joe, and began sipping while greeting others nearby.

"Come on, come at me full force! Hahaha, nothing can stop me!"

Grandpa Joei glanced at Furina acting strangely but chose to ignore it giving a silly grin. 'What a silly little Furina.'

After spending the whole morning at the river, Furina grew bored yet satisfied. She decided to return home for lunch, politely refusing everyone's invitations to eat at their houses.

"I only have three more months to enjoy childhood here with my family. After that, I'll be busy with meditation, training, and work."

She sighed. "I'll miss this in the future." Shaking her head, she strode toward her home.
