Chapter 85 - Lightning Release: Railgun — Heavenly Punishment Descends

"I'll deal with this brat!"

At this moment, Kirigakure's veteran Kage-level expert, Hōzuki Chizuki, voluntarily stepped forward. After killing a nearby Konoha ninja, his body dissolved into water and merged with the sea as he silently moved toward Akira.

Meanwhile, Akira still stood high in the air, surrounded by electromagnetic currents as camouflage.

What appeared to be magnetic flight was actually psychic flight.

It wasn't that Akira couldn't use magnetic force to fly—it was simply that psychic power consumed less energy.

"With this wide field of vision, it's perfect for pulling out the big moves!"

Akira took in the entire battlefield below before casually flipping out a circular coin he had personally forged from chakra metal.

Holding out his right hand, massive amounts of lightning rapidly transformed into electromagnetic force, driving the chakra coin into high-speed rotation.

"Railgun!"

In the next instant, the chakra coin shot out from Akira's palm at more than three times the speed of sound, streaking across the sky as an orange-gold beam of light aimed directly at the partially Tailed Beast-transformed Three-Tails Jinchuriki.

Both the Jinchuriki and the Three-Tails instantly sensed fatal danger and attempted to dodge.

But neither of them specialized in speed.

How could they possibly evade in time?

"Rip—!"

The Railgun struck instantly.

A massive hole the size of a washbasin exploded through the Three-Tails Jinchuriki's chest and abdomen, nearly tearing his body in half at the waist.

"H-How… is this possible…?"

The Three-Tails Jinchuriki lowered his head with difficulty, staring blankly at the empty cavity in his torso.

The charred flesh no longer allowed him to feel much pain, and his consciousness had already begun fading.

But what he could not accept was this—

Even in his partially Tailed Beast-transformed state, he was still a Kage-level combatant.

Yet he had been instantly killed in a single attack?

Had this brat really become this terrifying?

"Damn it! It hurts so much!"

The Three-Tails itself had also suffered significant injuries.

The damage itself was nothing—it could recover within moments anyway, since it was fundamentally composed of chakra.

But its Jinchuriki had been fatally wounded and was already dying.

Unable to escape the seal, it could only die alongside its host once again.

"Bastard! Brat, you're courting death!"

When the Third Mizukage saw the Three-Tails Jinchuriki get blasted into a near-death state with one move, his eyes instantly split with rage.

He immediately tried to rush toward Akira.

"Rip—!"

But in the next instant, he sensed danger and abruptly dodged aside.

Even so, Sakumo's blade still sliced across his shoulder, forcibly carving away half the flesh on one side.

Blood sprayed everywhere, instantly dyeing his robes red.

The intense pain violently stimulated his nerves, but he had no time to care about it. He immediately focused all his attention on defending against Sakumo's endless attacks.

"Heh! You actually dare lose focus while fighting me? How much are you looking down on me, Third Mizukage?"

Sakumo sneered coldly.

The speed of his attacks not only failed to slow down, but instead became increasingly faster and fiercer.

Terrifying blade lights continuously slashed toward the Third Mizukage one after another.

That horrifying cutting power made even the Mizukage feel fear.

The ninja world had long heard that Konoha's White Fang, Sakumo Hatake, had already reached the pinnacle of ninja swordsmanship.

The only reason he was not considered among the absolute strongest Kage-level experts was because his stamina supposedly could not support prolonged combat, and his sword techniques placed too much burden on his body.

But now, the Third Mizukage only wanted to drag out the idiot who said that and beat him to death while pointing at Sakumo, who currently resembled a tireless machine continuously unleashing high-intensity sword attacks without pause.

"This is what you call poor endurance?! If this counts as poor endurance, then who in the ninja world actually has good endurance?!"

Unfortunately, the Third Mizukage did not know that all these changes in Sakumo had appeared only over the past year or so.

Everything originated from the Lightning Body Tempering Technique Akira had given him.

As long as there was sufficient nutrition and medicinal nourishment, the comprehensive improvement provided by the technique was simply monstrous.

For more than a year, Sakumo had never relaxed for even a single day. He held himself to the highest standards and tempered his body to the limit every day before stopping.

After accumulating results day after day, his physique had improved by several times compared to before he cultivated the Lightning Body Tempering Technique.

His stamina and strength had both undergone explosive growth.

As a result, even his chakra reserves had skyrocketed.

Although the tempering process mainly improved the body in all aspects, even reaction speed improved significantly.

At the same time, lightning tempering itself was an extreme test of pain tolerance and endurance.

Throughout that agonizing process, Sakumo discovered that his mental strength and willpower also improved to a certain extent.

This was one of the reasons his chakra had increased so dramatically.

"What kind of technique is that? This brat is actually this terrifying?"

At this moment, Hōzuki Chizuki—who had already merged into seawater and quietly approached beneath Akira—also witnessed the scene of the Three-Tails Jinchuriki being instantly killed.

Shock and gravity filled his heart.

At the same time, he became even more cautious.

He was waiting for an opportunity.

A single fatal strike.

But Akira showed absolutely no intention of descending.

After succeeding with one attack, Akira casually flipped out two more chakra coins, holding one in each hand as lightning rapidly condensed simultaneously.

"Rip—!!"

Less than two seconds later, Akira launched another orange beam of light.

The beam directly bombarded a battlefield cluster containing dozens of Kirigakure ninja.

"BOOM!!"

A violent explosion erupted, accompanied by a towering water pillar.

All Kirigakure ninja within a radius of more than ten meters were instantly vaporized.

"Rip! Rip! Rip!"

Immediately afterward, Akira continuously condensed beams of lightning with both hands, firing left and right without pause as he carried out pinpoint bombardment on densely packed enemy positions.

One after another, rainbow-colored beams resembling divine judgment descended from the sky.

It was as though heavenly punishment itself had arrived to judge Kirigakure.

The attack speed of the Railgun was simply too fast.

Even if ordinary Jonin managed to see the attack coming, they still could not fully evade it.

As for Chunin and Genin, it was even more hopeless.

Once targeted, death was basically guaranteed.

In just a few short minutes, Akira alone had killed several hundred Kirigakure ninja with his Railgun bombardment.

Although most of them were merely Chunin and Genin, it was already more than enough to fill Kirigakure with fear and thoughts of retreat.

The Third Mizukage witnessed everything yet could think of no solution.

The Three-Tails Jinchuriki had also completely died by now.

In the end, he could only grit his teeth and unwillingly order a retreat.

For a moment, all Kirigakure ninja felt as if they had narrowly escaped death.

They immediately broke away from their opponents and began retreating.

Seeing this, the Konoha ninja naturally became wildly excited and pressed the advantage in pursuit.

They chased the enemy for over a thousand meters before finally stopping under Sakumo's orders.

Fortunately, Akira continuously provided Railgun support from the sky.

Otherwise, at that distance, the enemy would have already had enough room to unleash stronger counterattacks several times over.

After all, Konoha's ninja had already pursued them more than a thousand meters out across the sea itself.

"Damn it! This is an absolute humiliation! That Akira deserves to die!"

Standing far away aboard a ship, the Third Mizukage stared at Akira, who stood in the sky like a god.

He smashed the ship's railing with one palm as he gnashed his teeth in fury.

Never in his life had he suffered such a disastrous loss.
