Rain hammered against the tall glass window of the agency building blurring the New York skyline into streaks of gold and grey inside everything felt so still too quiet-like the calm before something went wrong
Lena sat on her desk staring at her screen but her mind wasn't there lines of intel scrolled past names, numbers, codes… none of it sticking.her finger hovered over the keyboard before she let out a quiet breath and lean back

Three years since the mission
Three years since everything fell apart
three since viktor
"Agent lena".

"Briefing room.Now"
That tone was sharp direct no room for for delay - pulled her out of her thoughts instantly. Lena frown slightly pushing her chair. Back late night briefings were never good.
The hallway was quiet aka it eerie.the the sound of her boots echoed as she walked each step heavier then the last. Her instincts were already on edge
She pushed the door open and froze.
