Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 Jarvis helped me write it down...

Bang~ Bang~ Bang~

With the [Magic Perception] skill, Rimuru was extremely sensitive to sound and light waves.

Even though her entire body was protected by armor and the sound had been reduced by the noise-canceling system, Rimuru could still hear everything with astonishing clarity.

More than that, she could even hear the friction of armor against the air, and the grinding and collision of mechanical components.

The sounds were chaotic, yet to Rimuru, they formed a surprisingly rich and layered composition.

Instead of feeling disturbed by the noise, she felt as if she were listening to explosive music—her entire body becoming excited.

Rimuru could take the form of a giant bat and fly, but this experience of flight was completely different for her.

"Ahahaha! This is amazing! This is so amazing!"

She howled excitedly, her body freely carving arcs through the sky.

The speed was so fast that it was difficult to track with the naked eye. The two of them were competing against Tony, chasing each other through the air, leaving only two fiery red spirals behind.

If aviation enthusiasts saw this aerial duel, they would likely faint from excitement.

The spiraling trajectories were so beautiful that no words could describe them.

Even more shocking was that, in the Marvel universe, this was the first public debut of Tony's Mark II and Rimuru's Wind God Type I. The impact was unimaginable.

Not only Rimuru, but Tony Stark himself was extremely thrilled—his very soul trembling.

The only dissatisfaction Tony had was that his Mark II could never surpass the Wind God in altitude or speed.

He was almost always chasing behind it, which made him extremely uncomfortable.

"JARVIS, increase axial load support from 25% to 35%!"

"Understood."

With a burst of acceleration, the Mark II suddenly surged forward, overtaking the Wind God and leaving Rimuru behind.

"Yes! I knew it! My Mark is the best!"

But Tony's victory lasted barely three seconds before Rimuru once again overtook him, leaving him behind in the dust.

Looking at the orange flames from Wind God's thrusters, Tony muttered:

"Good design… the thrust is far smaller than the Mark II, but the acceleration efficiency is not inferior at all. And because the Wind God is smaller, thinner, and consumes less energy, this result is expected."

"JARVIS, accelerate again. I will prove that the Mark is not only taller—but also faster!"

"As you wish, sir!"

BOOM!

The Mark surged forward at full power, its thrusters turning bluish at the edges.

But what Tony didn't expect was that the Wind God accelerated at the same time.

Not only did he fail to catch up—he was pulled even further behind.

"This…"

Still eating dust, Tony frowned.

"JARVIS, note this down. The Mark II propulsion system needs improvement. Acceleration efficiency must be increased."

"Yes, sir."

At that moment, Tony's HUD suddenly turned red, and JARVIS spoke again:

"Sir, severe icing conditions detected. Potential structural damage."

Tony was stunned.

"What? What about Rimuru's Wind God? Is it affected by icing?"

"Wind God's outer shell is made of Xis Company's titanium-gold alloy. This is the same material used in the Seraph satellite."

"…!"

Had Rimuru even considered icing issues?

For the first time, Tony Stark felt a sense of defeat.

Previously, he didn't care about being behind Wind God, as it reflected different design philosophies.

The Mark focused on balance, while Wind God emphasized speed over defense.

In terms of weight alone, the Mark was several times heavier than Wind God, so naturally it couldn't match its speed.

From a design perspective, Tony believed Wind God was inferior—too fragile for high-intensity combat.

A flawed and failed design philosophy!

But he had completely failed to consider the icing problem—and here, he was being thoroughly suppressed.

"Danger, danger, sir. I recommend you stop climbing immediately."

"Don't stop. Continue. I want to test the limits of the Mark!"

After climbing another two or three hundred meters, the frozen Mark II completely shut down and began to fall.

Seeing it drop rapidly, Rimuru hovered in the sky, then continued ascending.

She had cheated—but she was still extremely excited.

She had defeated Tony Stark, one of the greatest minds in the Marvel universe!

Victory felt amazing!

Ten minutes later.

Tony returned to the villa rooftop, looking at Wind God still flying in the sky with great dissatisfaction.

"JARVIS, cut the power."

BOOM!

The Mark crashed through the roof, creating a huge hole. Tony was caught off guard and ended up smashing into a luxury sports car.

Worse still, a mechanical arm accidentally triggered at the worst possible moment.

Lying on the car wreck, Tony stared blankly at the ceiling, questioning life itself.

When someone is unlucky, even drinking cold water can chip their teeth.

At that moment, Rimuru's Wind God suddenly fell from the sky again, smashing into the lab and creating another crater—landing perfectly in the center.

She landed on one knee, one hand supporting the ground.

Yes—the classic landing pose!

This instantly made Tony Stark's vision go dark.

"Cool!"

Even though Tony liked that pose, he quickly became dissatisfied.

That landing style wasn't even his invention!

But Tony Stark was not someone who simply copied others…

"JARVIS, note this down. I will design a landing pose a hundred times cooler than this!"

"Yes, sir!"

After removing the armor, Tony didn't really dislike Rimuru.

However, he wasn't someone who admitted defeat easily.

But when he saw Rimuru walking over with brush, ink, paper, and inkstone, he froze.

"What are you doing?"

Rimuru replied: "Teaching you how to write the word 'submission.'"

"Huh?"

Seeing the neatly written Chinese character "submission" on the paper, Tony felt dizzy.

You're really playing dirty?!

Damn it!

Rimuru smiled wickedly.

"Tony, you don't want to cheat, do you?"

Tony immediately got angry, rolling up his sleeves and picking up a brush.

"I, Tony Stark, a genius, can't write a word? Do you think I'm afraid?"

Rimuru smiled slyly. "I admire that. Truly Tony Stark. I'm sure your writing will be just as good as mine."

"Hmph!"

Tony snorted and ignored her lazily.

What a terrible slime—he really wanted to punch her.

Rimuru: "JARVIS, write this down. On this day in 2008, Tony Stark lost to Rimuru. Write the three characters 'submission' in calligraphy!"

JARVIS: "…"

Tony Stark: "…"

We are all highly trained professionals. We don't usually lose our temper unless absolutely necessary.

Evil slime… I'll take your life!
