Chapter 114: Heading to the Tomb Chamber
"Yorozu."
Toho Hiroshi spoke indifferently, stopping her.
He didn't even touch his slapped cheek, simply turning his head back slowly, looking at Shoko with continued calm, as if that slap had been nothing more than a gentle breeze brushing past his face.
Shoko's hand was still trembling slightly, not from the force of the blow, but from emotions suppressed to the extreme.
Her eyes were red-rimmed; there were no tears, only the heartbreak and resolve of someone who had been utterly betrayed.
"This blow,"
Shoko's voice carried a trace of imperceptible hoarseness, yet it was exceptionally clear, "was struck for those who still believe in 'truth' and are willing to fight for it."
"And also for the you from the past, who would have chosen to stand on our side."
She took a deep breath, as if trying to press all the surging emotions back into the depths of her heart.
"Toho Hiroshi, from this day forward, between you and me, we are nothing but... enemies."
Having said this, she didn't look at him again, turning around decisively, her figure upright and solitary as she walked quickly away from this suffocating place.
Yorozu watched Shoko's retreating figure, then looked at the clear palm print on Toho Hiroshi's face, and said furiously, "Husband, are you just going to let her..."
"It is fine."
Toho Hiroshi interrupted her, his gaze cast toward the doorway where Shoko had vanished, his Rinnegan remaining deep and unfathomable, revealing no emotional fluctuations, "This is the way of saying goodbye she chose."
He raised his hand, his fingertips lightly brushing his cheek, and the red mark faded at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"We should go."
Toho Hiroshi turned, walking in the opposite direction of Satoru Gojo and the others, "The preparations for the Eye of the Moon still require final confirmation."
Yorozu immediately followed, still looking at his back with obsession, "Yes, husband. Wherever you go, I will follow."
Outside the secret chamber, the sunlight was blinding.
Satoru Gojo leaned against the wall, watching Shoko walk out, his face expressionless, simply yawning lazily, "Finished venting?"
Shoko didn't answer, simply walking straight ahead.
Satoru Gojo shrugged and followed, hands in his pockets, his tone returning to its usual lightness, "Well, regardless, on December 24th, everything will come to an end. Before that..."
He turned back, glancing into the depths of the Star Plasma Cult; his Six Eyes seemed to penetrate layers of walls, seeing that figure walking in the other direction.
"Toho, is this truly your choice?"
Not long after Satoru Gojo was unsealed and made the "December 24th Shinjuku Appointment" with Toho Hiroshi, the wave of awakened ancient Jujutsu Sorcerers triggered by Kenjaku caused unprecedented chaos on a global scale.
High-intensity Curse incidents erupted in many important cities and supernatural sites, resulting in heavy civilian casualties and the near collapse of social order.
As the pillars of the modern Jujutsu World, top combatants like Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu, and Maki Zen'in were forced to immediately split up and rush to various locations for suppression and extermination.
The elite of Jujutsu High were all deployed, causing the headquarters' defensive strength to drop to freezing point; especially the power guarding the core of Japan's Barrier—the Tomb Chamber—appeared unprecedentedly empty.
Deep within the Star Plasma Cult, the Gedo Statue was restless.
A pure white clone—White Zetsu—peeled off from the surface of the statue, accurately conveying the intelligence of the Tomb Chamber's weak defenses to Toho Hiroshi.
"The time has come."
Toho Hiroshi opened his Rinnegan, his eyes devoid of joy or sorrow.
He looked at the eager-to-fight Yorozu beside him, "Let's go, to the Tomb Chamber. It is time for the stage of the 'Culling Game' to be officially set up."
"Husband's goal is my goal!"
Yorozu excitedly licked her lips, her eyes flashing with a craving for battle and conquest.
In the Tomb Chamber, an underground palace as deep as the starry sky, the atmosphere was as heavy as solidified asphalt.
Led by Masamichi Yaga, core combatants remaining at Jujutsu High, including Kento Nanami, Yu Haibara, Takuma Ino, and Atsuya Kusakabe, stood ready in full battle formation.
They had long anticipated that while Satoru Gojo and the others were lured away, this place would inevitably be attacked.
They just hadn't expected it to come so quickly, and that there were only two opponents.
"Toho Hiroshi, this is the end of the line!"
Masamichi Yaga's voice was deep and resonant; the Cursed Corpse Panda beside him had already entered combat mode, emitting ominous Cursed Energy.
"We will never let you touch Master Tengen!"
Kento Nanami pushed up his glasses, calmly analyzing the situation, "Although I don't want to admit it, facing the Rinnegan, our chances of winning are slim. However, it is our duty."
"Senior, we will give it our all!"
Yu Haibara's gaze was firm as he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Ino and Kusakabe.
Toho Hiroshi's gaze didn't even linger on them for long, simply instructing Yorozu indifferently, "Finish this quickly; don't delay the main business."
"Leave it to me, husband! I'll use them to test the power of this new body!"
Yorozu giggled, stepping forward.
Facing the many experts, she felt no fear at all; instead, she was like a hunter seeing interesting prey.
She didn't even need Toho Hiroshi to make a move.
"Construction Technique—'Armor of Insects'"
Following Yorozu's soft shout, Cursed Energy like deep purple liquid metal surged out from her body, rapidly forming and shaping on her skin.
That was no simple armor, but a terrifying weapon that combined insect exoskeleton structures with heavy combat units, filled with a bio-mechanical aesthetic.
The joints imitated arthropods, covered in hard carapaces and sharp spikes; from the back extended energy conduits resembling butterfly scales, buzzing and constantly absorbing the surrounding Cursed Energy.
The hands transformed into drills and claws that possessed both power and piercing ability.
"Mon... Monster!"
Takuma Ino felt the vast Cursed Energy and oppressive feeling radiating from the armor, his face turning pale.
"Attack together!"
Kento Nanami made a prompt decision, brandishing his blunt cleaver as he launched the first attack, "Ratio Technique: Collapse" aimed at Yorozu's weak point.
Yu Haibara and Kusakabe also flanked from the sides, their Cursed Energy erupting.
Masamichi Yaga controlled the Cursed Corpse Panda, launching a powerful frontal assault.
Facing everyone's siege, Yorozu only let out a scoff of disdain.
The energy conduits on the back of the Armor of Insects flared with light, the liquid metal instantly deforming into countless sharp tentacles and shields, easily blocking Nanami's slash, and with a backhanded claw, sent Yu Haibara flying.
She didn't even move her feet, forcing back Kusakabe and Ino solely with the armor's extended attacks.
"Too weak! Is this all the Jujutsu Sorcerers of this era have to offer?"
Yorozu's voice came through the armor, filled with madness and disappointment.
She stepped forward fiercely, the Armor of Insects at full power, its speed and strength soaring once again.
Like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, every swipe of her claw, every impact, carried destructive power.
Kento Nanami's Cursed Technique was forcibly broken, Kusakabe's sword was shattered, Ino's offensive was like an itch, and Yu Haibara was completely suppressed.
Even Masamichi Yaga's Cursed Corpse was pierced through by the drill of the Armor of Insects in a head-on collision, its Cursed Energy core damaged.
The battle presented a one-sided crushing trend.
"Domain Expansion—'Threefold Distress'"
Yorozu didn't want to waste any more time, directly expanding her Domain.
In an instant, the surrounding space was swallowed by pure white, as if they were inside a giant insect nest, with eerie objects resembling ganglia floating all around.
In this Domain, Yorozu's Cursed Technique was granted a "Sure-Hit" effect.
She raised her hand, deep purple Cursed Energy condensing into a 'Perfect Sphere' that was constantly rotating, compressing, and containing destructive energy within.
"It's over."
Yorozu said coldly, firing the 'Perfect Sphere'.
Under the boost of the Domain, the 'Perfect Sphere' ignored any evasion or defense, accurately crushing toward Masamichi Yaga and the others.
The power contained within was enough to completely crush them all.
