The following morning started with a 5 mile jog. Ursaring and Teddiursa joined the training. They were in surprisingly good shape. The Teddiursas couldn't finish and jumped on one of the Ursarings backs.
Silas scanned the young bear pokemon. They were identical except 1 had the Quick Feet ability and the other had Guts.
Teddiursa — Level 10
Ability: Guts / Quick Feet
Potential: C+
Moves: Rank D Scratch, Rank D Growl, Rank D Bite, Rank F Close Combat, Rank F Belly Drum
They both inherited Close Combat and Belly Drum. This made them incredibly valuable, even more so than the Ursaring.
After the run, they went into combat training. The Teddiursa fought each other and the Ursaring fought with Elekid and Monferno. After a few hours of combat training, they would switch to move mastery for an hour.
After the move mastery training, Butterfree would use a combination of Sweet Scent and Gust so many pokemon would rush to their location. Monferno and Elekid would battle the hostile ones.
Occasionally a higher level pokemon would appear but Arcanine would take care of it.
After the Sweet Scent training, they would take a break and take recovery items. They would also eat and then relax. Once they were recharged, they would repeat the process.
Silas did his own body training as well. Madam had given him a gravity vest and pants. It increased the effects of gravity on your body and could strengthen the human body. The trick was to slowly increase the intensity over time. If done correctly, the body's muscle adaptation speed would be at the same pace as the intensity increase.
He was currently struggling at 3 times gravity. Every action took real effort but Silas didn't complain even once.
This pattern continued for 5 days and the results were impressive. Due to having the steady supply of restorative berries and items through Madam, Monferno and Elekid could fight much longer.
The difference this would make would only compound over time.
They had all made progress. Silas was still at 3 times gravity but it was much more bearable than when he first donned the gear.
Monferno and Elekid improved greatly too. Silas scanned them to get a clear idea.
Monferno — Level 29

Monferno had gotten much stronger and versatile, it was no longer one dimensional at long range. Acrobatics gave it the ability to defend itself mid air.
Elekid improved the power of its physical attacks and added 2 elemental punches. These moves gave Elekid coverage to face almost any type of Pokemon.
Elekid had also improved more than Monferno. It used to always be a level or 2 behind Monferno but now they were at the same level and Elekid was at the peak of level 29.
Silas captured several pokemon as well. He had caught a Heracross, Noctowl, Graveler, Nidorino, Scyther and Gligar. All the pokemon had C- or C potential.
The amount of pokemon they defeated was not a low number. Silas had amassed a wealth of BP. He was now at 625 BP.
He opened the shop.

System Overhaul Upgrade - 550 BP - System will be equipped with an AI with growth potential and existing functions will receive an upgrade.
System AI Upgrade - 275 BP - System will be equipped with an AI with growth potential.
Low grade Revival Herb - 200 BP - Can save a pokemon from life threatening injuries.
Low grade Fire Stone - 150 BP - Evolves certain pokemon and slightly improves talent.
Low Grade Mystic Water - 75 BP - Can be held to increase water energy overtime by 20%
Low Grade Rare Candy - 25 BP - Directly increase a pokemons stats by 1 level.
Low Grade Vitamin Pill - 30 BP - Increase a pokemons overall constitution.
Big Nugget - 10 BP - No use for raising pokemon but valuable to humans.
All low grade berries - 2 BP - Various effects.
Silas bought a few Vitamin Pills and then purchased the system overhaul upgrade.
Silas heard the familiar voice in his head. "Please note that the system will be updating for 72 hours. During this time, the scanner and system shop will be unavailable."
Silas had no issue with this. Since coming to the pokemon world, he didn't rely on the system beyond the scanning function. He was curious on the advantages the upgraded system would provide.
"Your Elekid looks like it is close to evolution. We just need a battle to stimulate it."
Madam produced a crystal with a lightning bolt inside.
This is a bolt crystal. They are only formed during storms when special stones store the energy from multiple lightning strikes.
When it evolves, if you pair this with an enhancer item like calcium or carbos, it might raise its potential during evolution.
Silas' face lit up, luckily he bought those 2 vitamin pills before upgrading the system. He was excited to see how much stronger Elekid would become as an Electabuzz.
Silas set up a 1 on 1 battle between Elekid and the leader of the Ursaring. The fight was fierce, Ursaring landed a few Slash attacks leaving Elekid bleeding.
Silas had told Ursaring to give it his all and he didn't disappoint. Thunder Shock was harassing Ursaring when it used Night Slash on the tree to carve into giant projectiles. It hurled them mercilessly at Elekid, dealing massive damage.
Elekid fought through its pain and weakened Ursaring with back to back Brick Break attacks. When Ursaring attacked with Close Combat, Elekid unleashed Cross Chop. Elekid was barely standing but it managed to win after a long drawn out battle.
A resounding and powerful roar came out of Elekid as its body flickered between glowing and white. Silas knew the evolution was finally here. Silas took out the 2 pills and the bolt crystal.
Elekid trusted Silas more than anyone so it swallowed the pills and crystal in a single gulp. When the crystal and pills entered Elekids stomach, they began to dissolve and turn into pure energy rushing into Elekids system empowering him.
The evolution lasted a full 4 hours. Lightning lashed outward from its body in branching arcs, carving black lines into the ground. Its small frame began to stretch — limbs lengthening, shoulders broadening, fingers splitting into thicker, stronger forms.
The markings along its body darkened and sharpened. The two small antenna-like horns rose higher, more defined, conducting the electricity rather than being consumed by it. Then a long tail grew rapidly, striped as well.
Elekid finally finished evolving, in its place stood the powerful Electabuzz. It let out another roar as if to announce its arrival into the world. Silas scanned his new pokemon.
Electabuzz — Level 30

Thunder Punch was the next move he wanted Elekid to learn so this was a surprise boon.
Madam approached from behind with Arcanine and Jolteon.
"Congratulations, from the pressure Electabuzz is giving off, it broke through to the Intermediate level. "
"Yeah now all that is left is for Monferno to break through as well."
Madam shook her head.
"I waited for Elekid because I knew it was likely to be the point where it would evolve which would prove problematic on the mountain versus at the base.
"I get it, Monferno can safely break through as we travel."
"Yes, do you think I have all the time in the world to accompany you? It has been about a week since I was last home, young man and we haven't even started climbing the mountain. We need to pick up the pace."
Silas knew Madam was only here as a favor to him so he didn't try to defend himself. He sincerely thanked Madam for all the help. From the resources to hands-on training, Madam had spared nothing in nurturing Silas over the past week.
