Chapter 1 - Chapter – 1 Family

"A very good-looking man was searching for his girlfriend in the hospital corridor. 'Hey, do you know where Dr. Lilly is?' he asked.

The receptionist replied, 'Dr. Mark, she is in the OPD.'

'Thank you,' Mark said. As he walked towards the OPD, he saw Lilly coming in his direction. She smiled and said, 'Why are you waiting for me? Didn't I tell you that today is my sister's birthday? My uncle is coming to take me.'

Mark looked at her with a sad smile. 'Everyone else is important to you except me.'

Lilly gently squeezed his face. 'I love you, baby. But you know my parents died after I was born. My uncle and aunt raised me and always treated me like their own daughter. Especially Sara—although we are not real sisters, she loves me like one.'

Mark kept looking at her as they walked out of the hospital. 'Okay, I get it. They are your priority, not me.'

Lilly smiled. 'I don't think I can ever repay their love in this lifetime. I just don't want to disappoint them.'

While they were talking, Lilly's uncle arrived. She said goodbye to Mark. 'I will call you later.'

Mark looked at her with eyes full of love. 'It's okay. Enjoy your time. I love you.'

Lilly came back home with her uncle. Her aunt said, 'My smartest daughter is finally back! Go help your sister—she can't even choose her dress without you.'

Lilly nodded and went to Sara's room. 'My little sister, what happened now?'

Sara pouted. 'Lilly, don't tell Mom and Dad, but I failed my interview.'

Lilly laughed. 'It's okay. You have rich parents and a working sister, so we need at least one person who can stay at home.'

Sara understood her sarcasm. 'Of course, it's your responsibility to take care of me. I didn't ask them to bring me into this world.'

Lilly hugged her. 'It's okay, I won't tell anyone. Now let's get ready—everyone is waiting.'

After two days, Sara received another interview call from a reputed company. She called Lilly to tell her, but Lilly didn't pick up. 'She might be busy,' Sara thought, so she sent a message: 'Sis, I'm going to CSS Company for an interview. Call me when you're free.'

On the way, Sara saw an old poor woman whose clothes were torn, collecting empty bottles. Suddenly, it started to rain. Sara wanted to help her, but then she saw from her car window a good-looking man giving the woman his umbrella. She couldn't help but admire him and wondered, 'Do such men really exist?'.
