Prithvi's lifeless body remained slumped against the cracked bookstore wall, a silent witness to the chaos. Books were scattered like fallen autumn leaves, soaked in crimson. In the center of it all stood Adheera, an island of calm in a sea of violence.
The air was thick with the wail of sirens. Ten police officers, fully armed and trembling with adrenaline, formed a semi-circle around him.
The Police Captain raised a megaphone, his voice cracking. "This is your final warning! Hands up! Surrender immediately, or we will open fire!"
Adheera let out a soft, chilling laugh. "Warning? To whom? For the first time in 5,000 years… I am actually starting to enjoy myself."
The Fire Begins
A nervous officer pulled the trigger. The bullet streaked through the air, heading straight for Adheera's face. Time seemed to slow. The bullet hit—and simply bounced off his skin as if striking tempered steel.
Adheera smirked. "Still playing with toys?"
Before the officers could blink, he vanished. A second later, he reappeared behind the shooter. With a sickening crunch, he crushed the officer's gun like tin foil and twisted his neck. The man dropped instantly.
Close Combat
Four officers rushed forward, wielding batons and tasers.
"Is this your version of justice?" Adheera asked, his voice a low growl.
One officer fired a taser. The electric prongs hit Adheera's chest, sparks dancing across his skin. Adheera began to chuckle. "An electric shock? How… cute."
In one swift motion, Adheera grabbed the officer's head and slammed it into the side of a parked police jeep. The glass shattered. Blood splashed across the windshield.
He didn't stop. A back-kick sent the second officer flying into unconsciousness. The third was lifted ten feet into the air and tossed like a ragdoll. When the fourth tried to raise his sidearm, Adheera delivered a brutal punch to his chest. The man's ribs collapsed inward instantly. Dead.
The Final Stand
The Captain, seeing his squad decimated, threw a smoke grenade. Thick gray smoke filled the street, reducing visibility to zero.
"Thud!"
"Aaaaah!"
"Drop your weapon—!"
The screams echoed through the fog. Within seconds, five more officers were silenced. When the smoke cleared, only the Captain remained. He looked at Prithvi's body and then at Adheera with burning hatred.
"That girl was innocent, you devil!" he screamed. "I will stop you!"
Adheera walked toward him, a haunting smile on his face. "A devil?"
The Captain emptied his magazine. Adheera caught the final bullet between his fingers. "No one in this era is worthy."
Adheera snatched the gun from the Captain's hand and drove the metal barrel into the man's chest with the force of a spear. The Captain fell, the light fading from his eyes.
The Broken Connection
Adheera stood alone amidst the bodies. Prithvi's phone, buried under the rubble, began to ring again.
Display: JINWOO — Calling…
Adheera picked up the device, looking at the name. "Jinwoo? I don't know who you are…"
He crushed the phone in his palm, turning it into scrap metal. He began his walk into the heart of the city, leaving a trail of blood that shimmered under the moonlight.
Midnight – The Bus Stop
The highway was empty, the only sound being the rhythmic tap, tap, tap of Adheera's boots. He reached a small bus stop where a young girl sat alone, trembling with fear.
A drunk man was looming over her, his voice thick with malice. "Come on, girl… come with me." He grabbed her arm, pulling her toward the shadows.
Adheera stepped out of the darkness. He grabbed the drunk man's wrist. The man didn't even have time to scream before his shoulder was dislocated with a loud CRAAAACK!
"You are weak," Adheera whispered. "That is why you show your strength to a woman."
He covered the man's mouth and delivered a single, rib-shattering punch to the chest. The man vomited blood and died instantly.
The girl stood frozen, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you… I… I don't know what to say…"
Adheera interrupted her, his voice cold but serious. "Next time… in a situation like this… fight. Because next time, there won't be anyone coming to save you."
The girl nodded slowly, watching as the mysterious stranger walked away into the moonlight.
Adheera's inner voice faded as he disappeared into the night: "Still no one of worth… but at least… a few are still good."

Analyst: "His name is… Adheera. He claims to be an ancient force. Our data suggests he isn't human."
President: "Deploy the STRIKE UNIT immediately. If this being remains alive, the world is no longer safe."

Over a hundred elite soldiers descend onto the streets. Heavy artillery tanks and military trucks blockade every exit as the public is evacuated in a state of panic.

The air is thick with gunfire and tank shells. In the middle of the chaotic battlefield, Adheera stands in eerie silence.
