After hours of him moving his humongous body around in what seemed like the tiny kitchen space, Darius finally set the plate on the island in front of me.
Toast and egg.
My stomach growled at the sight and I quickly took up a spoonful of the egg . I should've known from the look in his eyes as he watched me put that spoonful in my mouth.
I should've even known from how he went around the kitchen clueless but I was so distracted by his moving muscle.
The moment the egg hit my tongue, I spat it out, shocked by the amount of saltiness that spilled on my taste buds. " What the hell, Darius?". I rushed to the sink to rinse my mouth.
" You said you could cook". I turned to him, angrily. I was sure at this point I had fumes coming out of my ears. His brows furrowed and he took the spoon from the plate, tasting it himself.
His expression shifted instantly as if him too were shocked by the salt he cooked.
I huffed, grabbing the pan he had tossed in the sink.
