Tokai Teio tilted her head.
It was only after Mejiro McQueen pointed it out that Teio noticed a cup of honey special had somehow appeared beside her dinner tray. There was even a note attached to it that read, "For Tokai Teio." It looked like a gift meant specifically for her.
And yet, just a moment ago, she definitely had not seen anyone place it there.
Teio picked up the honey special and examined it.
The cup itself was different from the ones sold in the honey special shops outside. It looked much plainer and more ordinary—no cute packaging, no pretty colors. If someone tried to sell it looking like this, nobody would buy it.
But compared to the utterly unremarkable cup, the drink inside was overwhelmingly alluring. The crystal-clear liquid gave off a faint rainbow sheen, and its sweet, fresh fragrance curled around her nose, making Tokai Teio instinctively feel that this honey special had to taste amazing.
Gulp.
Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen swallowed at the same time.
Clearly, it was not just Teio. Anyone who saw this honey special would be drawn in by the extraordinary quality radiating from it.
"Who in the world gave this to me?"
Holding the cup, Tokai Teio looked troubled.
It looked delicious, yes, but it had appeared out of nowhere, and that made her hesitant to drink it.
She had heard there was a horse girl in the academy who loved concocting all kinds of strange potions and using other people as test subjects. She would slip bizarre ingredients into other people's black tea, and any trainer who drank it would disappear together with his assigned horse girl for three whole days and nights. Unable to resist the temptation any longer, Tokai Teio wrapped her lips around the straw and took a small sip.

The moment it touched her tongue, praise burst out of her mouth.
It was not even her usual favorite extra-rich flavor, and yet it was the most delicious honey special she had ever tasted.
The honey was sweet without being cloying, soft and silky, perfectly complemented by the blended spices. The ratio of flavor was flawless. Once you tasted it even once, there was no way you could ever forget it.
It felt as though she had stepped into a brilliant sea of flowers, with every beautiful memory in her life replaying before her eyes, making her want to sink into it and never leave.
"Delicious!"
Joy spread all over Tokai Teio's face, and her horse ears twitched rapidly.
"I feel like I won't be able to live without this taste anymore~"
Seeing Teio so blissfully happy, Mejiro McQueen's curiosity deepened.
"Is it really that good?"
"McQueen, you should try it too! It's really delicious!"
Tokai Teio held the honey special out to her.
Mejiro McQueen accepted it and took a small sip from the very same straw Tokai Teio had just used.
"Delicious!"
The moment the liquid entered her mouth, McQueen gasped.
Even as the young lady of the Mejiro family, who had tasted countless drinks of the highest quality from all over the world, she had never had anything this exquisite.
Gulp, gulp...
It was so good that she could not help taking several more sips.
"McQueen, you're going to drink all my honey special!"
"Cough... sorry..."
A faint blush rose to Mejiro McQueen's face as she reluctantly handed the cup back.
She still wanted to drink more, but this was not hers. As a proper young lady, she could not possibly snatch something that belonged to someone else.

Tokai Teio took the drink back and continued savoring this gift from heaven, utterly content, as though she had ascended to paradise itself.

Watching Teio enjoy the honey special so freely made Mejiro McQueen feel genuinely envious.
The person who had made this honey special had to be one of the greatest masters in the world. Someday, she absolutely had to hire them as the Mejiro family's personal beverage artisan, to prepare honey special of this quality for her every single day. And if the master refused, then she would simply have to use the power of the Mejiro family to have them brought back by force.
Coincidentally, Tokai Teio was thinking along very similar lines.
Only, lacking the Mejiro family's influence, what she had in mind was doing it personally...

Just as Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen were speculating about Tang Han's identity, a white-haired horse girl approached their table.
Oguri Cap had just spent seventeen seconds demolishing a pile of rice taller than her own head and was about to leave when the honey special in Tokai Teio's hand caught her attention.
With her belly bulging enormously, she stared expressionlessly at the cup in Teio's hand and asked,
"Did that person just come by?"
"Oguri Cap-senpai?"
Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen were both startled when Oguri Cap suddenly addressed them.
After all, Oguri Cap was already a famous figure among the older generation. Every younger horse girl knew who she was, and Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen were no exception.
But knowing of her was not the same as being close to her. Normally, they did not speak at all. At most, theirs was the sort of relationship one had with a senior from school they recognized but barely knew.
And Oguri Cap only cared about eating. There was not much either of them could really talk to her about.
Yet now, because of this honey special, Oguri Cap had suddenly come over and spoken to them, leaving both Teio and McQueen feeling oddly flattered.
Could it be...
Did she know the master?
"Oguri Cap-senpai, do you know the great master who made this honey special?" Mejiro McQueen asked.
"Mm."
Oguri Cap nodded, and a hint of reverence appeared in her eyes.
"She is the God of Honey Special."
"The God of Honey Special?"
"That's right. Her name is... Minami Yuko..."
Oguri Cap then recounted to the two girls everything that had happened that afternoon in the conference room.
Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen were stunned after hearing the story.
"Amazing! So gods really do exist in this world! And one of them is my favorite honey special!"
Tokai Teio's face lit up with joy, her mood skyrocketing into super perfect form.
Today had truly been unbelievably lucky. Not only had she received an exquisite photo of President Rudolf from a trainer that morning, now she had also been gifted a cup of honey special personally mixed by the God of Honey Special herself—so delicious that after tasting it once, ordinary low-grade honey special would never satisfy her again.
