Chapter 52 - Sword and Armor

"What's going on here?"

Suddenly, Aiz asked Loki and Lefiya, who had burst in after smashing the door down.

Loki and Lefiya looked thoroughly flustered when they saw me holding a measuring tape.

"Huh? W-well..."

Realizing they'd misread the situation, Lefiya fumbled and couldn't answer, but...

"We came lookin' fer Bellf Crozzo. Had some business with him."

Loki immediately changed her expression and answered.

She had business with me...

But,

"I don't know what it's about, but isn't this trespassing?"

""...Huh?""

Wasn't this something I should report? They had smashed the door and barged in without permission.

"The goddess and member of another Familia forcibly broke into the workshop of a Level 5 blacksmith."

"Aren't we practically family!?"

"Not unless it's an expedition."

Even blacksmiths from the same Familia at least knock before coming in.

The moment they broke the door down, those two from another Familia were basically strangers.

"Just breaking the door is enough to report, and since you also entered without permission, I think you'll be paying a fine."

Probably because the door was made of wood, it had been completely wrecked.

Maybe because there was a Level 3 adventurer with them, even if he was a bit dim?

"Aiz. Can you come back later? The door's like this, so I think I need to repair it first."

"...Okay. Got it."

Aiz looked utterly disappointed.

Lefiya and Loki started sweating as they watched her.

Aiz left the workshop, and Loki and Lefiya followed after her to comfort her.

As for me,

"...Should I make the door first?"

I decided to make an iron door that even a Level 5 couldn't kick down.

Reporting them or negotiating came after that.

"I'm back..."

"You're back early. Didn't you ask Bellf to make a magic tool that turns you invisible?"

Loki trudged back to the Familia.

Finn asked where Lefiya had gone, since she hadn't returned with her.

"Ah... there was a misunderstanding, so Lefiya and I smashed a bit of Bellf Crozzo's workshop door and went in. She went off to earn money for the repair costs."

"...Hm?"

After hearing Loki's explanation, one word surfaced in Finn's mind.

"We're screwed..."

She already hated going on expeditions, and if this soured her mood, that would be the end of it.

He'd have to go through that hellish expedition again.

"Loki! Come with me right now!!!"

"No, wai—"

"We don't have time!!!"

Finn dragged Loki toward Bellf's workshop.

Meanwhile, Bellf was...

"...This is disgustingly tough."

After roughly replacing the door, he was tempering Udaeus's sword.
