His expression looked pitiful as he raised his head, but his eyes widened as they fixated on my lips.
I tucked in my pouting mouth and turned my head away. Haven leaned in closer, pushing his face in front of mine.
Then still with wide eyes, he called out, “Your Majesty?”
“I sleep fine,” I said, my tone unintentionally sharp, prompting me to cough awkwardly.
Haven gauged my reaction and quickly replied, “I’m relieved to hear Your Majesty sleeps well.”
“But just because I sleep well doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to our things. I am really anticipating our children, our wedding, and our wedding night.”
“I’ll do my best to live up to those… expectations?”
“Is that an answer or a question?” I asked, a bit flatly, and Haven’s eyes narrowed nicely from their wide state.
“It’s a firm resolution and promise.”
