Edwin rested his chin on my lap and looked up at me, saying, "I don't want to do anything you dislike either, Raviel."
My sweet and kind little brother.
I pinched his cheeks gently and apologized, "Sorry for getting mad, Eddy. I know you said it for my sake."
"No, Raviel, you looked dignified and cool when you were mad," he said with a silly grin.
Geez, even Edwin talking nonsense looked so endearing in my eyes. With a chuckle, I was about to let go of his cheeks, but he left his face in my hand and rolled his eyes to glance at the moonbird.
"Raviel, since you said no more regression, we just need to get rid of that birrrd––."
"No way," I responded.
"Buuut, buuut––"
"Uh-uh, no."
"Aalrrighhht."
Even with his cheek still pinched, Edwin managed to agree with me, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that this rascal was all talk.
"Treat that poor little thing nicely. Genise really cares about it too."
