The person I love was happy because of me. Even though I failed to surprise him, I felt as delighted as him.
As we smiled at each other, I heard sighs from all around.
Putting on a serious facade, Margaretta sighed dramatically and then joked, "Maybe I should divorce and remarry a northern man."
"I thought you just celebrated your silver wedding anniversary, didn't you?" I inquired, surprised by the Marquise's bombshell statement.
She shook her head with a resigned expression and replied, "Before I saw both of Your Majesties, I thought I should be content with my husband and continue living with him. But returning home after seeing His Majesty, my husband, a creature that belongs in the waters, is dressed in human clothing and conversing with me."
