Rick let go of the waiter and then turned his cold, dead eyes towards Tristan.
Roy stood up, dropping his humble facade. He was instantly annoyed that Rick was ignoring his authority.
"Hey! I am talking to you, Rick! What the fuck do you think you are doing?"
"Know your place. Sit down and eat the fucking leftover. And if you can't do that, get the fuck out of here."
However Rick completely blanked Roy. He walked slowly around the edge of the massive marble table, his dark eyes locked entirely on Tristan.
"I broke your nose and your wrist in the lobby," Rick said softly, stopping right next to Tristan, "I let you walk away easy. Guess that wasn't enough to teach you some bloody manners."
The entire room froze in utter confusion.
He broke his nose? Roy stared at Rick, then at Tristan. The beggar in the lobby? The guy Tristan claimed to have curb-stomped? That was Rick?!
