Silence spread across the battlefield.
Then the demons moved.
Monjushiro devoured demons.

Although the taste could never compare to humans, consuming a powerful enemy still provided nourishment.
Without hesitation, the Lower Moons began feeding.
The surviving Manjushiro watched in horror.
Their confidence shattered.
Their strongest warrior had fallen.
And now his corpse was being consumed.
For a brief moment, none of them knew who the real predators were anymore.
Fear spread rapidly.
The remaining creatures scattered in every direction.
Rui immediately stood.
"Stop eating."
His voice was calm.
"Finish them first."
The other Lower Moons exchanged glances.
Then nodded.
No one objected.
The battlefield entered its final phase.
The surviving Manjushiro were hunted down mercilessly.
Elsewhere, Akaza and Meng Siyu continued their battle.
Both were heavily wounded.
Both were exhausted.
Yet Akaza's expression remained bright.
His eyes burned with excitement.
"Meng Siyu."
He laughed.
"You are a worthy opponent."
Then he extended one hand.
"Become a demon."
"Serve under Muzan-sama."
The invitation was sincere.
Akaza respected strength.
And Meng Siyu possessed it.
However
Meng Siyu merely laughed.
His laughter echoed across the battlefield.
"Enough nonsense!"
His fighting spirit surged once more.
"Either you kill me…"
"Or I kill you!"
Akaza stared at him.
Then smiled.
"So that's your answer."
His compass array expanded beneath his feet.
The air trembled.
An overwhelming battle spirit erupted from his body.
"What a shame."
His fists tightened.
"Then I'll honor your resolve."
The battle between warrior and warrior entered its final stage.
