Elena meanwhile continued eating peacefully beside him, entirely unaware of how strangely relaxed the atmosphere between them had become.

Alaric glanced sideways at her for a moment before speaking again.

"You should've taken my permission before posting that picture this morning."
Elena looked up immediately, her expression genuinely puzzled. "What picture again?"
Hello sighed… "The one you took while I was asleep."
"Oh." She blinked innocently. "That."
"Yes, that."
Her brows furrowed slightly as though she still couldn't understand why this was becoming an issue again.
"But we're expected to do these things," she replied as a matter-of-fact. "Otherwise people won't believe our arrangement is real."
Alaric studied her carefully for a second.
