The morning in Chattogram always felt the same—distant traffic noise, the call to prayer echoing through the city, and people rushing as if time was never enough.
Nahian woke up in his small room. The ceiling fan turned slowly above him, and sunlight slipped through the window, drawing soft patterns on the wall.
"Another ordinary day…" he thought quietly.
His school bag was already packed from the night before, so there was no rush. But something inside him felt strange—a kind of emptiness he couldn't explain.
From the kitchen, his mother called out,
"Nahian, eat your breakfast or you'll be late!"
He got up slowly and walked to the dining area.
While eating, one thought kept repeating in his mind—
Why did his life feel like it was neither truly starting nor ending?
After breakfast, he left the house and walked toward school. The road was familiar, the people were familiar, everything looked normal… yet today felt slightly different.
At the corner of the street, a man stood alone.
The man was staring directly at him.
Nahian stopped for a moment.
It felt like the man knew him.
But when he blinked and looked again—
The man was gone.
Nahian turned his head, confused.
"Did I imagine that?"
Then his phone vibrated.
A message appeared from an unknown number.
"Time has started moving differently for you."
He froze.
The street noise continued around him, but for Nahian, everything suddenly felt distant—like the world had slowed down for just him.
And that was the moment everything began to change.
