After the news of the uplifting of the restrictions that were set in the grand academia, everybody became livid. From the youngest freshmen to the oldest graduate, everyone... became what they were. Over a thousand techniques were expressed in a single moment as countless students walked about within the school grounds, the ambient En constantly warping and stretching to accommodate the sudden conversion and expression filling the atmosphere. It looked like a sickening artwork of stars that spiraled endlessly within a white gossamer sheet of nothingness, truly no words could describe what one would see if they actually saw but eventually, the En managed to balance out forcing a stalemate with the already active techniques though it took no less than a few seconds, it was still something that happened.
Uliger wrote all this within a thick book, his gaze focused as he wrote in mysterious words that could have been perplexing but to him it felt and seemed normal. His office messy with a small floating lamp beside him as he wrote whatever he wrote.
scribble, scribble, scribble.
Within the silence he wrote and wrote his expression subtly changing whenever he wrote extraordinarily long paragraphs.
Grief painting his face as he wrote short paragraphs
But, ultimately reaching the end point of his work he sat down his quill pen and shut the mysterious leather back book. His eyes weary as he shut his eyes for but a moment, raising his left hand he cut the air with a simple swipe to which he placed his book within cut space of white. His expression solemn as he performed this action as his grey eyes gazed towards the quill he had been using to write the mysterious symbols, paragraphs and words.
His expression would shift from sadness to a sudden flash of anger but then as he would try to pick up the quill, he would stop, his arm would tremble as his face warped with intense disagreement. The small light that adorned the fairly large desk illuminated all his struggles with an intense clarity, his magnified and exaggerated shadow performing the same actions he would make.
Wanting nothing more than to break the pen he quickly picked it up carefully eying the gift he had been left with, memories quickly surged through him as he gazed at the pen that was firmly grasped in his left hand his eyes quivering with an unknown emotion that abused him every time he held the pen.
But he put it within the same space he had put the book in, the white light slowly flickering away as he plopped back onto his seat, his expression devoid of focus as he sat there dazed.
knock, knock, knock
Soft rhythmic knocking echoed across the room lit by a small light, Uliger drowned in his lack of desire ignored the knock, it not registering with his mind.
knock, knock, knock
Again the knocking resumed but Uliger ignored it once more, his desire to be left alone for a moment drowning any spark of movement that wanted to rouse him.
knock, knock, knock
The silence reigned as the little light shone with all it had giving light to Uliger's expressionless face but the knocking continued once again, this time a soft almost silent voice accompanying the knocks.
"Uliger, Uliger, Uliger..."
Low soft and feminine did the voice sound as this time instead of remaining expressionless, Uliger's eyes flickered with an emotion, his eyes gently quivering as he finally answered...
"What do you want?"
His voice deep and aged yet emotion found its way making the words sounding longful instead of cold. With his gaze directed at the ceiling, he sat there calmly awaiting a response from the mysterious person.
"First can you let me in, I want to talk with you."
They said as their voice dripped with an undeniable femininity which touched Uliger's weary heart. Pausing for a moment Uliger directed his gaze towards the door that lay ahead at the right corner of the room, the small light barely illuminating the handles but Uliger spoke as though he saw clearly,
"Enter."
Despite there being a lack of proper light, her beauty was plain to see seemingly illuminating the already lightless darkness. Skin as fair as jade and a face so beautiful it could almost be considered divine paired with almond eyes that shined with intellect, the young woman entered the dim-room, her face painted with worry.
As a man his eyes shone with disbelief but as an older man with experience he simply stared at the jade beauty that now stood before him, taking in the extraordinary beauty's worry.
"What's wrong?"
His voice was filled with apprehension as he gazed warily at the beauty before him. It wasn't everyday you see a beauty of such magnitude come rushing towards you, their expression filled with worry.
Hearing this, her eyes darted warily around the room as her lips gently quivered. Her entire demeanor was one of which a frightened person would actively do when placed in a situation demanding more than what they could offer. Pursing her lips, she spoke, her voice cracking and breaking as she looked like she would cry at any moment but with her internal fortitude, she held back her tears and begun to utter,
"I-I saw s-something..."
With stuttering lips she spoke as her body trembled, her hands tightly clasped between each other as though she were making a most sincere request.
"I-in the future.. I-I saw y-you.. dead!"
Crystalline streams flowed gently from her almond eyes as she now suddenly broke down in tears, her shoulders shaking with each shaky breath she took in but Uliger was more or less surprised at the sudden news. An intense foreboding filled his gut as he released the breath he had held on for far too long, his lips drying as he suddenly gained his senses.
'me, die?! What manner of ridiculousness is this?!'
He thought as he roused him self from his mahogany colored seat, his eyes filled with intense caution and wariness as he quickly approached the weeping figure of the young woman. Gently comforting her with his big strong hands, Uliger tried his very best not to let his expression crack but the more he tried to comfort her the more she cried but suddenly she grabbed Uliger by the collar and practically begged.
"Please do not go to war! YOUR DEATH WOULD BE ASSURED THE VERY MOMENT YOU STEPPED ON THAT FIELD!!!"
With that she suddenly fainted, her eyes still sobbing as she suddenly let go leaving wide eyed Uliger stunned at her words.
