Honestly, the moment she saw him draw Chi Xiao, she had already prepared herself for the kind of brutal fight that was about to break out.
Instead, he truly hadn't resisted in the slightest.
He let the officers detain him without complaint. On the way back, he had even been instructing the officers on how to restrain different races of suspects more effectively.
For example, against Oni like Hoshiguma, handcuffs weren't the right answer—high-tensile fiber rope was better, binding both little fingers together.
Back in the vehicle, Hoshiguma could practically feel the officers beside her getting ideas.

Hoshiguma nodded, not giving either Chen Huijie or Swire a chance to fight over the interrogation themselves. She headed directly for the interrogation room.
Chen Huijie and Swire exchanged a glance, said nothing, and instead went to the observation room.
As she walked, Chen Huijie found herself quietly biting her lip.

What she did at the scene had been wrong.
