Chapter 100: Listen to What You Are Actually Saying

Not long ago, Sophia suddenly learned a brand-new skill: .

Out of curiosity, and accompanied by Ariel, the two left the inn to test out the new skill. Countless rat familiars were summoned, spreading out in all directions across the town. A massive amount of information fed back, causing Sophia to fall into a brief state of absentmindedness.

Right at that moment, a shout came from behind her.

"Negishi-chan!"

Then, she noticed her hand being grabbed by someone. Subconsciously turning around, she discovered it was a blonde elf loli who was even more petite than she was.

Sophia, stunned in place, was yanked into a teleportation portal by the little loli, moving so fast that even Ariel couldn't react in time.

"Damn it, actually using such a small loli to kidnap Sophia. That old elf really deserves to die!"

In the alleyway, watching Sophia vanish right before her eyes, Ariel boiled with rage. But having no spatial abilities, she could do nothing about it. Out of options, she could only wait for Shirazawa and Shiro to return before discussing a countermeasure.

After hearing the whole story upon their return, the two looked at each other. No wonder Potimas hadn't made a move for so long; it turned out he was waiting for them here.

"Lord Shirazawa, please save the Young Mistress."

In the group, Mera was naturally the most anxious. Hearing this news, he paced around in circles out of worry, quickly asking Shirazawa for help.

"Mera, calm down first. Sophia is the old elf's bargaining chip to threaten us; she won't be in danger for the time being." Shirazawa waved his hand, signaling him to calm down a bit.

Mera clenched his teeth, his eyes turning red. He felt he had failed the trust of his master and mistress. If only he were a bit stronger, perhaps he could have prevented this tragedy from happening.

"You and Sophia share a retainer covenant. Can you perceive her specific location right now?" Shirazawa asked calmly. He wasn't worried about Sophia's safety; an already somewhat accomplished Vampire Progenitor wasn't that easy to deal with.

"There is a soul connection between the Young Mistress and me. Right now, she is moving toward the southwest." Mera sensed carefully and reached a conclusion. "She should be on the way to the Elf Village."

"Is that so..."

A cold smile appeared at the corner of Shirazawa's mouth. "Since that's the case, let's take a trip there."

"Sael, stay behind to watch the house. Let's go!"

Tossing little Leest to Sael, the group rushed off toward the direction of the Elf Village.

Meanwhile.

"Despicable elves, what do you want to do?"

Sophia was surrounded by a large number of ice spears, looking warily at the group of black-clad people in front of her. At the head of the group was the loli elf who had captured her, and standing next to her was an old acquaintance—none other than Potimas.

Clearly, this was another clone.

"Negishi-chan, I am Ms. Oka!"

Oka looked deeply worried, her childish voice carrying a sob. "Negishi-chan, quickly snap out of it and come with teacher. Teacher will protect you."

Sophia furrowed her brows in annoyance. She had already recognized the identity of the loli in front of her, but what she couldn't understand was why her teacher had actually reincarnated into the elf race—and what exactly was she saying?

"I am very clear-headed right now. The one who isn't clear-headed is you, Teacher."

Sophia's tone was full of sarcasm, making Oka's expression incredibly awkward.

"Oka, this vampire has already been brainwashed by the evil Demon Lord. Just move in directly." Potimas immediately spoke up to interrupt the two. If they kept talking, his lies would be exposed, so he struck first to define the event as brainwashing. That way, no matter what Sophia said, Oka wouldn't believe her.

"B-But..."

"No need to say more, do it!"

Oka hesitated to speak but was directly cut off by Potimas.

An Anti-Magic Barrier deployed, and the ice spears around Sophia shattered instantly.

"This disgusting barrier again."

Deprived of her magic abilities, Sophia was helpless against this kind of barrier and could only fight with her bare fists.

With a massive disparity in strength, Sophia was blasted away by a single punch from Potimas. A mouthful of fresh blood sprayed from her mouth, and she passed out directly.

Looking at the injured, blood-spitting young girl, Potimas walked forward triumphantly, reaching down to grab Sophia by her hair, lifting her up like a little chicken.

"Don't, don't hurt her!"

Oka was in a complete panic; she absolutely did not want her student to get hurt.

Seeing this, Potimas took out a pair of metal handcuffs and bound Sophia's hands behind her back to prevent her from struggling or escaping. They were imbued with an ability similar to the Anti-Magic Barrier, which could render abilities useless.

Having done all this, he put his mind at ease and tossed the unconscious Sophia to Oka to take care of.

"This place is not safe for long, let's leave first." With a big wave of his sleeve, he led his men and quickly departed.

After everyone left, the mouthful of blood Sophia had spat out slowly turned into a bright red rat, quietly following behind the group.

Inside the carriage.

Oka painfully wiped the wounds for Sophia. Although these minor injuries recovered quickly under her powerful self-healing ability, Oka still felt a pang of heartache.

How old was this child, yet she already had to suffer such pain? She had failed too much as a teacher.

Even though Oka herself was physically younger than the other party, she put on the demeanor of an adult. Protecting students was a teacher's natural duty; no matter what method it took, she had to fulfill her proper responsibilities. In this world, she was the only parent figure for these children, so she had to pull herself together.

How could the old and crafty Potimas not know what Ms. Oka was thinking? He was precisely utilizing this mentality of hers to confine all the reincarnations wandering outside within the Elf Village, keeping them for future experimental use.

The reason he hadn't caused trouble for the Demon Lord during this time was because he was spending all his energy searching for the whereabouts of the reincarnations. Up to now, except for a few with special identities, the rest had already been captured.

Being able to catch Sophia was an unexpected surprise. If those two white spiders hadn't left, he really might not have dared to make a move.

Next, as long as he returned to his main base before the opponent arrived, everything would be golden.

A Vampire Progenitor... how many years had it been since he last saw one? Such a precious experimental subject would definitely allow him to find the secret to eternal life.

Inside the carriage.

Sophia suddenly opened her eyes. She had been faking her faint just now, not because her injuries were too severe.

"Negishi-chan, you're awake?" Seeing Sophia awaken, Oka was overjoyed.

"Teacher, why are you helping that villain capture me?" Sophia looked indignant. She couldn't understand why Oka was helping those detestable elves—they were the culprits destroying the world.

"The outside is not safe. The Demon Lord is about to destroy the world. I cannot sit by and watch you walk down the path of crime."

Ms. Oka explained with absolute seriousness, but to Sophia, it just brought a head full of question marks.

"Teacher, do you want to listen to what you are actually saying?"
