Everything went to shit—he was exaggerating. But Takashi thought exactly that as he found himself in yet another love hotel room, sitting on the bed with Takagi Saya and Miyamoto Rei, one on each side of him, each wearing clothes different from their school uniforms.
They looked nervous and anguished, while Takashi sat tense, wondering how the hell he had ended up in this situation.
A week ago, more or less, after Miku's public declaration of being Komuro's girlfriend following what she herself had loudly proclaimed—a night of unbridled passion—both Rei and Saya didn't wait long before confronting together the boy they both liked.
So, after grabbing him from the classroom once classes ended, they dragged him up to the school rooftop to talk. That talk worried Takashi; he had never seen the looks in their eyes before, nor had he ever seen them cooperate so unitedly.
"Hold on, both of you, calm down!" Takashi exclaimed, literally backed against the wall.
"Then explain! How is it that you and that bitch Yuuki Miku are boyfriend and girlfriend!" Rei demanded, with a glare—just like Saya's—that could be compared to Sekai and Katou when they confronted Makoto for not picking one of them after they gave him chocolate on Valentine's Day.
"I'd expect this from any other idiot at the academy—"
"Look, she said she wanted me to help her study and... it just... it just happened and..." He had no idea what to say. This was worse than the time he'd been discovered by the six milfs of his harem.
"Besides, why do you two even care!"
"Takashi, you're an idiot!" both shouted.
"You really want to know why this upsets us..." Rei said, one of her hands gripping the collar of Komuro's shirt. The other hand belonged to Saya.
"...You haven't realized it all this time," Saya said, recalling that date from a few weeks ago—when, after spending the day with him and having him walk her back home, she had given her lips to Komuro, saying it was a thank-you for having saved her from Tsunouda that day.
In fact, she had wanted to tell him what she felt on that occasion, but the genius of Fujimi hadn't had the courage to confess.
"It was my fault for not telling you what I felt that day."
"I had already told you, Takashi. But if you want me to be clearer, I will be." Rei—we already knew what she was after from the dark-haired boy. "Or have you already forgotten the promise I made you?"
Like a lightning bolt of illumination, Komuro froze when she said "promise"—what had happened between him, Miyamoto, and Saya after kindergarten ended that day.
"Hey, I..."
"I'm in love with you, Komuro Takashi, you idiot!" Saya exclaimed, casting aside her ego as the smartest girl in the school—if not the country.
"I like you, Takashi! I love you! That's what I feel for you," Rei said, shedding her pride for a moment.
"I want you to love me too!" both shouted at the same time.
However, the problem didn't end there. He found himself with Yuriko and Kiriko, without their respective daughters finding out that they—thanks to Takashi—had confessed to the boy that both ladies shared.
"I don't know what to do," Takashi said, his head resting on Yuriko's lap as she caressed it.
"Did you really not notice our daughters' intentions?" Kiriko laughed quietly after hearing what had happened.
"From Rei, yes"—with what had happened at her house—"from Saya, I didn't expect it."
"Well, that's what you get for playing the heartthrob not just with us, but you see, with the girls too," Yuriko remarked.
"Who knows? Another one might have her eyes on you."
"The only ones I want are Shizuka, Rika, Kyoko-sensei, Yukka-san, and you two," Takashi said.
But returning to the matter of Rei and Saya: "Both of them matter to me. They've been my friends forever, and I don't want them to pull away from me. I don't want either of them—or both of them—to pull away from me." The depression in Komuro's voice was palpable.
"Then you can only do one thing," Kiriko declared. "Accept their feelings and make them accept you equally. Just like you did with us."
"What?!" He blushed at the idea. "But they're your..."
"Don't say it. Us, their mothers—we already knew Saya and Rei-chan had feelings for you, and even though we told you, you didn't care," Yuriko said. "If you truly care about our daughters, you'll know what to do, Takashi-kun. Oka-san knows you'll do what's best, or in other words, you'll give everything you've got for them."
With that advice from both mothers, Takashi had a single task that had brought him, along with Saya and Rei, to this love hotel room.
Takagi wore a white blouse with lace stitched down the middle to cover the buttons fastening the garment, a black skirt with white details, plus her iconic twin-tails in her pink hair.
Miyamoto, for her part, wore a black top that covered her cleavage but accentuated her bust, with strapless sleeves that held onto her shoulders, which revealed the thin straps of the bra she wore underneath. A short white skirt and long black-and-red striped stockings were covered at the feet by white sneakers.
"Even though I wanted this moment to come, I was hoping it would be just the two of us, Takashi," Rei broke the ice, placing her hand over the boy's on the bed.
"The feeling is mutual, Miyamoto," Saya declared, taking a step further ahead than Rei had. She didn't just take Takashi's right hand where she sat; she took his entire arm.
"Hey, calm down, both of you. Even though it would be best for each of you to have your first time in private, it's better if we do this together," Takashi said.
"Together? The best thing is for you to pick one, Takashi, you idiot. Which of us do you love?" Takagi was not willing to share her boyfriend.
"Takashi!" Rei exclaimed. With both hands, she took Takashi's hand and lifted it, holding it in both of hers. "Takashi, I love you. I mean it. I can't live if you're not with me. If it weren't for you, the day Shido took revenge on me because of my father, I don't want to think what would have become of me if you hadn't held onto me. Takashi, I want to be with you, and I'm willing to be with you."
"Rei..."
Words that caused an enormous jolt in Takashi's heart. He never imagined the chestnut-haired girl was so deeply in love with him. His heartbeat grew faster and faster.
"I don't want to live without you either, Takashi," Saya declared, throwing herself onto Takashi's body and pressing her breasts against him.
"Maybe I boast about being the smartest, but I've been a fool for not telling you sooner what I feel. But I also don't like admitting I've fallen for an idiot. Still, you're the idiot who makes me feel special, and just seeing you makes me feel happy. I don't want to wake up one day and find out you're gone. I love you, Komuro Takashi. The only thing I've ever asked of you is to call me by my name and nothing more. But this time, what I'm asking is for you to return my feelings." Her eyes were tearing up. The words that came out of her mouth came from her heart, truly.
"Saya..."
"Are you saying you want him to return your feelings while still calling him an idiot?! It's obvious I would be a better partner for Takashi. I would never call him that. I would treat him with love and affection. I will be the girlfriend—no, I will be the perfect wife for Takashi!"
The war kept getting more and more aggravated.
To be continued…
