It was the beginning of the year 2035 and our protagonist Kurohoshi Riko was chilling on top of the roof until he heard a woman getting robbed.
Burglar 1: Give us all your fucking cash!
Old lady: Please don't hurt me!
Riko: hey! leave her alone alright.
Burglar 2: Mind your own fucking business kid unless you want to get shot!
Riko: sigh Look I don't really have time for this so leave the woman alone.
The burglar points the gun at Riko
Burglar 2: Ill fucking shoot you back the hell up!
Riko: Shoot me then
The burglar's looked at Riko shocked
Burglar 2: What the fuck is wrong with this kid!?
Burglar 1: I don't know but he asked for it
The burglar charged at Riko, but Riko easily manhandles him and throws him through a wall knocking him out
Burglar 2: What the fuck how did he-
Riko dashes so fast the burglar couldn't even see him and grabs his gun and breaks it
Burglar 2: Why you little shi-
Suddenly another person who looks around the same age as Riko, cuts the burglar and knocks him out.
The old lady's purse fell on the ground as she was terrified from Riko's strength, but the random person picked it up and handed it back to her.
He looks at Riko
Person: are you friend or foe?
He gripped his sword just in case Riko was a foe
Riko: I assume friend because you stopped the other burglar for me thanks, but um who are you?
Tenma: My name is Tenma Jigoku and you?
Riko: Kurohoshi Riko
Tenma looks at the wall and saw the unconscious burglar.
Tenma: you did that?
Riko: yeah, I wasn't trying though and he had it coming chuckling.
Tenma thinks to himself that Riko's physical strength is insane and if he tried hard enough, he probably could level an entire building if he tried.
Tenma: I guess but I'll be on my way back to my dojo, bye Riko
Riko looked at him surprised and shocked
Riko: Wait you have your own dojo?!
Tenma: yeah, I do how else am I going to get stronger
Riko looked at him seriously
Riko: I-Is that also your Goal in life?
Tenma was caught off guard by the question but answered
Tenma: I come from a family full of assholes that show barely any respect to anyone outside the Jigoku family, so when I was born, I was going to be the heir usually they would grow up to be very strong and inherit their wealth but I was weak and because of that I was bullied, mocked, and treated poorly and that's why I want to get stronger to prove all of them wrong.
Riko could feel the anger coming from Tenma and all he could do was relate with Tenma
Riko: My mother died when I was very young and after that incident my father went into depression, he didn't love me anymore, he didn't show me love. He started abusing me calling me the reason she died, and then one day he left me. So, I want to get stronger to prove him wrong.
Tenma: I'm sorry to hear that really
Riko: don't worry about it
Tenma: you want to come to the dojo and train with me?
Riko: hell yeah
Tenma and Riko walk down the street to the dojo but did not notice someone was watching them from afar.
Kōtetsu: Boss I have some interesting news too tell you
