CHAPTER ONE: THE WEDDING NIGHT

Diana's hands trembled as she stared at the hotel room door.

Room 305.

The numbers felt heavier than they should.

This was insane.

Completely insane.

Just six hours ago, she had been a bride-to-be, smiling in front of a mirror, imagining a future filled with love

Now…

Now she was about to marry a stranger.

Her lips pressed into a thin line as the memory hit her again—

The door creaks open.

The soft, disgusting laughter.

Her fiancé's voice.

And her sister's.

"She's too naive… she'll never find out."

But she had found out.

And something inside her had broken beyond repair.

Diana inhaled sharply, her chest tight.

"Don't think," she whispered to herself. "Just do it."

She raised her hand and knocked.

Once.

Twice.

The door opened almost immediately.

And everything inside her froze.

The man standing in front of her was not what she expected.

Tall.

Broad shoulders.

Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit.

His face… cold, sharp, unreadable.

But it was his eyes that made her breath hitch

Dark.

Dangerous.

Like he could see right through her.

"You're late," he said calmly.

His voice was deep. Controlled.

Powerful.

Diana swallowed hard. "I almost didn't come."

A pause.

Then,

"Yet, you're here."

Something about the way he said it made her chest tighten.

This man wasn't just rich.

He was used to control.

Used to power.

Used to people obeying him.

Diana clenched her fists slightly.

"Let's make this quick," she said. "No emotions. No complications. Just a contract marriage.

His lips curved—just slightly.

Not a smile.

Something more dangerous.

"Are you always this direct?"

"I don't have time to pretend."

Silence filled the room.

Heavy.

Tense.

Then he stepped aside.

"Come in."

She hesitated for half a second…

Then walked in.

That was her first mistake.

The wedding was done in less than thirty minutes.

No family.

No friends.

No love.

Just signatures.

A ring.

And a deal.

Diana stared at the ring on her finger, her heart pounding.

"What happens now?" she asked quietly.

The man adjusted his cufflinks, completely unfazed.

"You move into my house tomorrow."

Her head snapped up. "That wasn't part of the deal."

"It is now."

Her anger flared. "You can't just change things"

"I can."

The way he said it—

Calm.

Final.

Terrifying.

Diana felt it then.

The weight of what she had done.

She hadn't just married a stranger.

She had married a man with power.

Real power.

"Who are you?" she asked, her voice softer now.

For the first time…

He looked directly at her.

And this time, there was no hiding it.

No softness.

No warmth.

Only dominance.

"My name is Victor Blackwood."

He stepped closer.

Too close.

"And you, Diana…"

His voice dropped slightly.

"Just became my wife."

Diana's breath caught.

Something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

But she couldn't explain it.

Not yet.

Not until the next morning—

When she walked into the mansion…

And came face to face with her ex-boyfriend.

His eyes widened in shock.

"Diana…?"

Her stomach dropped.

Then he said the words that shattered everything:

"Why are you in my father's house?"
