"So... you're saying you didn't know the shaman?"
William kept his voice low as his eyes drifted toward Thalia.
She had finally fallen asleep after a long and exhausting day.
The doctors said it was normal.
Her body was still recovering.
Her mind was even more so.
Tiara had arrived around fifteen minutes ago.
The moment she saw Thalia awake, she burst into tears and hugged her so tightly that William almost had to pull her away.
Now, however, her expression had become serious.
"She said the shaman is a fox too?"
Tiara asked again, "And that we were close?"
William nodded. A subtle frown appeared on his face.
Because the more he thought about it, the less sense everything made.
If Hana had really been part of their lives before...
If she had been someone important enough for Thalia to describe as family...
Then why hadn't either of the sisters recognized her at the shaman's house?
Tiara's frown deepened.
"Two hundred years ago..." she mumbled.
