Chapter 85 - Preparing Twenty Years In Advance (2)

"Of course, if possible, I'd like to have the memory of this meeting to be given to the Martial God and the five Dark Faction sovereigns. This should help to somewhat suppress the tensions between factions as we prepare in advance for the outbreak of a second great war." Luca had thought this through by recollecting his knowledge of the Dark Faction's leaders. Aside from the Undead, who theoretically could outlast the other races in an all-out war, the other four races clearly understood the severity of the matter. Of course, the Undead would still be purged eventually by the demons, leaving them only a short time should they outlast the others.

Norani agreed almost immediately, "I'll use my memory of this. If it's from me, they won't be able to refute it." Though she held more than enough power to alter her memories to suit her needs, those that walk the path of a Sage cannot lie or twist the truth to benefit themselves or their respective factions. In the eyes of Andor Plane's will, all native creatures are not enemies, as they were born from it, and therefore will not slight them. By being tightly connected to the will of the plane, Sages must follow its guidance regardless of their own desires. As such, Sages, along with the Twin Goddesses of Law and Vengeance and Thoth, the God of Knowledge, and their followers, are considered the most trustworthy people.

Arthur growled slightly, "This better work before it's too late. I don't want a city under my rule to be razed without any chance of survival... of course, that's nothing compared to the return of the Demon God." His tapping fingers from his deep thoughts echoed momentarily before he continued, "As soon as this meeting is over, I will return to my palace and follow Echadir's instructions for the key. Luca should probably come along, as I believe he would understand more compared to me of what is there."

Gethras tacitly agreed as he thought over his future course of action. "I will attempt to converse with Haoma deeper than I've tried before. Hopefully, I can find a way to reach out to Yggdrasil through our sacred tree. Perhaps we Wood Elves can grow further if Yggdrasil begins directly supporting its child." The Wood Elf Sovereign's idea was not unfounded given that his entire race had grown through the influence of Haoma. They adapted further and grew stronger as the sacred tree grew, so if its parent began to empower its growth, it would not be farfetched to believe that the Wood Elves could grow yet further.

The High Elf Queen bit her bottom lip momentarily in thought. "There is little that I can do for Cyelume at the moment. While Lady Dreamwalker is out delivering the memory evidence to the Martial God, I will remain in here, but upon her return, I will set out for Kharnboldohr. Based on the brief information Luca mentioned before this meeting started, it would be best to act immediately on handling the matter of the Dwarf Sovereign."

Norani waved her hand casually at Nesine's words, "You can go at any time. It's been quite some time since I've used it, but I can still make a clone of sorts. With the support of the plane, said clone will have no trouble in delivering the news. However, I do agree, Kharnboldohr needs a better ruler. That boy was bright in his youth, but he has become a degenerate through power." After a moment of thought, the Dreamwalker used a spell to condense a small talisman only the size of a palm, which she passed to Nesine, "Take that with you when you depart. I've imbued it with a portion of my spirit so that I can be involved."

Luca chimed in quickly, "Ah, wait, Lady Dreamwalker. Please examine my memories for the information on King Durnoch. You can also use them like you will for the Martial God and send them with Queen Atheys. This will smoothen the process somewhat. I'd also recommend that King Aslan follows along in the event of the Dwarf King going on a rampage. He is currently the only available individual able to restrain him in a physical fight. Queen Nesine's abilities as a Spiritual Druid will be restricted underground, and Bhelen is more than capable of breaking any earth-related spells with his prowess." This wasn't just a baseless recommendation from the Dragonborn boy. Aside from Arthur Valar, the only person that had fought Bhelen on equal grounds was the Beast King. Gethras, despite his unmatched skill in archery, had too great a difficulty dealing with the heavy armour and instinctive responses of the Dwarf King. The High Elf Queen's spiritual magics were often restricted to only water, as Bhelen often smashed through any obstacles without hesitation, his stocky body made using wind against him almost useless, and his Dwarven heritage made his resistance to fire practically perfect.

Rhonin sighed after he quickly comprehended the boy's ideas, "Considering that drunken oaf's attitude, he'll definitely blow his top off when someone tries to impeach him, even if it is Lady Dreamwalker. I'll have to retrieve my battle gear before we depart. Corrupted as he is, Bhelen is still a monster in combat. It'd be best to prepare first." Nesine and the Beast King briefly discussed how they would proceed following the meeting's conclusion, taking little more than five minutes.

As Luca had suggested, the High Elf Pseudo-Sage examined the boy's willingly revealed memories before conjuring three things: two small talismans containing the memories she had just instilled within them and a small silvery-white owl with blue eyes. One of the talismans was given to Nesine, while Norani fastened a spatial ring around the owl's neck with the other talisman inside it. The owl then took off, flying directly at the wall of the Eye of Selene. It flew right through without the slightest resistance, only showing an odd watery ripple as it passed, and sped up as it began its journey eastward.
