Martin had to decide how to spend his Paradigna Points.
He knew from his past life that as you continued killing, the power of your next targets would increase proportionally.
He had easily defeated the weak black wolf because the boy was an inexperienced peasant who had never been in a real battle.
However, Martin knew his tactics wouldn't work on seasoned fighters.
He decided to wait until after midnight to see what new creatures the Paradigna Market would offer.
Meanwhile, the bodies of Blem and the black wolf boy were discovered.
Garlin, the village head, and Taint stood over the bodies, ten armed men behind them. Both men wore grim, angry expressions.
"The person causing trouble in our village is not weak at all," Garlin said to Taint.
"You're right," Taint replied.
"If he were powerless, he wouldn't be able to kill both Blem and his child."
They spent a long time searching the area for clues about the killer.
Time passed quickly, and midnight arrived.
Martin received a notification from the system. "
"Paradigna Market has been renovated."
He immediately began to examine the new creatures.
Paradigna Market: New Monsters
1. Iron Rhino
Level: W1-Animal
Strength: 1.0 (Evolution is possible)
Agility: 0.3
Vitality: 0.7
Intelligence: 0
Information: "This 170 cm (at eye level) creature with iron armor has very strong defense and strength."
Skills:
Charge: (+80% Agility + 30% Strength for 30 seconds; 1-hour cooldown)
Skill 2: ?
Skill 3: ?
Price: 1500 Paradigna Points
Martin was initially surprised by the high price, but then he saw that the Strength stat was 1.0. The system provided him with additional information:
"When a creature reaches 1.0, evolution is possible. The creature can become more powerful without losing its natural characteristics.
"This transformation affects the stats of the evolved area of expertise (STR-Agility). A creature that evolves using STR 1.0 does not see a big difference in its speed."
Martin appreciated this crucial information.
He reasoned that evolution meant transcending the boundaries of an entity, or changing its physical properties.
If any of his creature's stats reached 1.0, he could command the system to evolve it.
2. Tree Man Warrior
Level: W1-Plant
Strength: 1.0 (Evolution is possible)
Agility: 0.1
Vitality: 0.9
Intelligence: 0
Information: "An eight-meter-tall, two-meter-wide tree man. It has a sharp sword made of an unnamed wood material."
Skills:
Plant Regen: (70% faster health regeneration for 30 seconds; 1-hour cooldown)
Skill 2: ?
Skill 3: ?
Price: 700 Paradigna Points
Martin dismissed this creature without much thought. It was a good option for those who preferred a defensive, front-line fighting style, but it wasn't for him.
Martin decided against buying a new creature for now. Instead, he would focus on improving his current shapeshifter, the Claw Demon Minion.
"Paradigna, show the status of the Claw Demon Minion," he commanded internally.
Claw Demon Minion
Level: W1-Demon
Strength: 0.7
Agility: 0.7
Vitality: 0.2
Intelligence: 0
After reviewing the stats, Martin spoke to the system again.
"Paradigna, on the Claw Demon Minion, use my point on agility."
A system warning appeared:
"1000 Paradigna Points will be spent on this improvement. Do you approve?"
Martin whispered his approval in his mind.
"I approve."
