Location: A Diner.
"Knew i should've gone myself. What if he's left?" Karol says impatiently to her friends.
"Well next time, don't get caught" Nico Minoru replies with a pissed off tone.
Karol gets a bit depressed and another friend wraps an arm round her.
"It's okay Karol, can't blame your race's evolution. I mean all Majesdanians are instant crows near shiny objects. Says here it's harder in children but they all get better at resisting impulses over time. We really should study this info. I mean, what was the point of stealing them if we won't look through it. I know Nico has been looking through hers a lot" Gertrude Yorkes says scrolling through a white tablet. She looks pretty amazed. Gert has purple hair and she's the shortest in the group at 5'1.
"It's okay Kar, Im sure Vic will find him" Molly Hayes says trying to soothe her friend. Molly has brown hair, blue eyes and is the youngest in the group.
"Tch, you sure we should have let him go alone? What if he attacks the kid?" Chase Stein says before sipping on his drink. Chase has blond hair, blue eyes and is 5'9. He looks to his kinda girlfriend, Gert, with a frown.
"Well Vic's been with us for a few weeks now. Gotta start having a bit of trust in him or this team will go nowhere. Besides, he's the only one fast and durable enough to get there quickly. Maybe Molly could do the same in future, but for now she tired too quickly" Gert replies not even looking up from the tablet. Chase just sighs and keeps sipping on his soda.
"Oh there they are now!" Molly says in surprise. She watches as the two teens wearing hoodies walk into the diner and pull off their hoods.

"Man seeing this place makes me hungry. Wanna order something?" Jim turns to Victor, who just shrugs.
"Well I could eat" Victor says. They both walk towards the nice lady in an apron, who looks to be in her forties.
"Hiya there, Welcome to Mary's Diner. What can I get for you kids?" She says with a smile.
"Uhm, I'll have some cola and..." Jim turns to look at the group of people sitting with Karol and sharply counts them.
"Eight cupcakes". The lady nods and writes that down. She then looks to Victor.
"The eggs, bacon and toast please" Victor says and the woman nods.
"How much is that please?" Jim says bringing out a cloth wallet containing some cash from various sources. Nothing illegal, mostly from the volunteer work at F.E.A.S.T. Mr Li likes to give him $10 three days a week, cause he believes Jim is currently doing more work than he should. Since Jim doesn't have much to spend it on, he saves most of it, using some to buy gifts on birthdays and Christmas for his friends.
"It's $19.50 for it all" The lady says while passing a torn sheet containing the order to another worker. Jim pulls out some money and keeps the rest in his wallet.
"This is for the food, and here's your tip" Jim says handing her $25 with a smile.
"Thank you, we'll get the food to your table soon" she replies with a smile of her own. Jim and Vic turn and walk towards the booth he sees Karol in.
"Hey" Jim says as he reaches them while Vic just nods and sits down. Molly Hayes stands up and stretches her hand out to him.
"Hey! I'm Molly" she says with a full tooth grin. Jim grins and stretches his.
"I'm Jim, nice to meet ya" He replies shaking her hand. 'She's kinda cute, also her energy is weird' He notices mentally.
"So you've met Karol, the purple hair is Gert, other blonde is Chase and our raven haired lass is Nico" Molly says with a smile, introducing everyone cause she knows how weird they are with meeting new people. Jim nods at them and sits down after getting his bag off his shoulder.
"So how was work yesterday Jim? You didn't tell me what exactly you do?" Karol asks, to kickstart the conversation.
"Well, I work at a medical unit at FEAST".
"FEAST?" Chase asks raising an eyebrow.
"It's a homeless shelter -slash- training programme, where they help homeless people out" Jim says. A male waiter arrives with his and Victor's food.
"Here you guys go" he says with a smile putting down Victor's plate in front of him, then placing down the tray of cupcakes in the middle of the table and lastly hands Jim his cup of iced cola.
"Thanks" Jim says with a smile. The man gives him a nod and walks away. "I got one for everyone" Jim says grabbing a cupcake and placing it in front of him. He then looks at Gert.
"Victor told me you have a dog? So I got one for it too. They ain't chocolate, so it's fine" Jim says noticing that Chase chokes on his drink. Gert just gives a smile while holding on her laughter.
"Thanks, I'm sure Old Lace will appreciate it" Gert says with a grin and picks up a cupcake. Molly also takes one and mutters her thanks before starting to eat it.
"So they pay you? Aren't you thirteen?" Karol asks.
"Actually it's volunteer work, but my bosses decides to give me some pay since they believe I'm doing more than I'm supposed to?" Jim says then puts his soda straw to his lips.
"More than you're supposed to?".
"Well I do some emergency first aid and some other stuff when they're in urgent need of someone with medical knowledge" Jim says matter of factly.
"Hmm cool" Karol replies.
"You must be pretty smart then" Gert says and Jim gives her a mysterious smile.
"Hopefully, I plan to be one hell of a doctor" Jim replies and takes his cupcake out of the see through box container it's in. "So, what did you think of my offer Karol? Comparing our abilities and seeing where we can learn from each other". Karol looks at her teammates and the look back at her.
"Well we talked about it, and decided to give it a try for a few days" she replies.
"Awesome, I'll find a good place to test our powers after this. I'm guessing you guys are from out of town".
"Yeah we are" Gert replies.
Jim smiles, cuts a piece of his cupcake and places it in his mouth, doing his best not to eat like a savage. He chews and sips his soda to wash it down.
"So, how long have you guys known each other?" Jim asks.
"We're family friends" Molly replies quickly. Jim nods and sees Victor finish his meal and drink some water. He places the cupcake back into the box container before placing it in his bag.
"Ready to go?" Jim asks. They all look to Gert and she nods before standing up. 'Seems she's the leader'.
"Yeah, let's go" She says moving to pack up the cakes with Chase and Jim stops her.
"I'll get a bag for us to use" Jim says and walks to the front, collecting a paper bag from the lady.
"Thanks" Gert says placing the boxed cupcakes into the bag.
"Thank you for coming" the woman says waving at us, and we wave or nod back to her as we leave.
"So where do we go from here?" Karol says turning to Jim. He just grins.
"I'm planning on using one of my powers, the problem is that the area might not be within trekking distance. I'm guessing you guys have a car?". The runaways all look at each other again.
'Leaving leapfrog away from us, isn't the best idea anyway, Also I don't want to leave Old lace waiting too long' Gert thinks to herself.
"Explain this power to me first" Gert says.
"Well it's like a cheat. It helps me discover the answer to things I need" Jim says. The Runaways all look pretty confused.
"That's pretty vague" Chase says.
"Can you know anything? And how exactly does it pass information?" Gert says intrigued by the idea of such a power.
"I guess I can know anything within the limits of how it passes information. For instance, if I'm in front of a safe and I want to unlock it. It'll cover the correct numbers in the exact order in silver light. So if the first number in the code is 1, it'll show me 1 first. When I input that it'll show the second one" Jim finishes.
"Fuck?!" Gert says understanding the possible uses of such a power. 'You could be the best thief, the ultimate hacker as long as your hand speed is up to par. Alex and the Steins are awesome enough, but you can be mind blowing'. Gert thinks of her friend Alex who helped them steal information about the Gibborim and the Pride from his parents. The Steins however built an AI that controls Leapfrog.
'Does that mean if I put this guy in front of a computer and ask him to write an AI's code he can do that?' Gert then looks to Victor 'he has directives implanted into his mind, could Jim just write a code and destroy the programming? No way! This-this is too impossible'. Gert doesn't notice but she has started to breathe heavily.
Their AI has been helping them out with their transition in technology. So she can grasp how awesome such an ability could be.
She's about to continue her train of thoughts when she feels a pair of lips smash into hers.
'Chase!'. The kiss lasts for a moment and Chase pulls away with a grin. The rest of the runaways rolls their eyes while Jim just chuckles.
"You were doing it again babe, don't keep your thoughts to yourself." Chase says and Gert blushes a bit.
"Th-thanks for that" she turns to Jim.
"Any other things about that power?" Gert asks.
"Well it makes for good navigation. If I have someone's image in my head, I can probably find that person. I don't yet know whether there's a range. It just shows me a path lit up by stars and I follow it. It doesn't exactly follow that rule as I can also use it to find objects". Jim says leaving them shocked.
"That's what you meant by finding us a place to train. You could just ask for it and it'll guide you there" Gert says.
"Funny, that's what I call that part of my power - 'Guide'. Sadly I would show you the silver lights but it seems they aren't physical. I've used it in front of people and in dark spaces but they don't attract attention or light up the area".
"Hmm, is there any limitation to the first power?" Gert asks, that's the power she's most interested in. The Steins science and engineering is the main pillar of The Pride. If someone can disable their programming through hacking it'll be amazing.
"Well let's say I want to perform a surgery. It'll guide me to the things I'll need to perform it, even show me the location of the problem, but I may not know how to use that information. So I'll still need knowledge most times to backup what I'm doing".
"Hmm, I see how that is. I can't believe you yet since you say these silver lights are invisible, but if you can find our vehicle I'll trust you" Gert says giving a mysterious smile. Jim notices that word though.
"Vehicle? Weird word to use for a car or bike" Jim says raising an eyebrow.
"Let's just say it isn't exactly a car" Gert says giving him a grin. The rest of the runaways emulating her thoughts.
'No way he'll find an invisible spaceship' they all think to themselves.
"Hmm, alright then. I've said it isn't physical but only something I can see, even with my eyes closed" Jim says closing his eyes. He then pulls out a blindfold from his pocket.
"I brought this in preparation for explaining my powers to you Karol". He then wears the blindfold.
"I also don't have to speak out loud for this to work. Please just make sure I don't get hit by a car" Jim says.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" Chase asks trying to make sure Jim's blindfold isn't see through. He puts one hand behind his back and raises two fingers with the one in front of Jim's face holding up three.
"Hint" Jim says calmly and searches for any silver light. He looks at his hand sees silver light on five of his fingers. He then grins.
"Five, you're holding up five fingers" Jim says and judging by the silence he is correct.
"Bullshit. That power is bullshit!" Chase says shocked.
"Doing that there's no real need actually in finding this 'vehicle'" Jim says using air quotes. "But I'll do so since doing such a complex action should prove this power to you". After all, finding a car he's never seen before, that could be anywhere while blindfolded should be enough proof.
'Guide!' Jim says and sees his starlight path appear. He grins and turns left. "Let's go" he says.
7 minutes later
Jim sees a weird shape from his silver lights. He moves closer and touches it. His sense of height and depth makes him feel like whatever it is is above ground.
"You have a very weird vehicle" Jim says, emphasizing on the word vehicle. He takes off his blindfold and sees nothing in front of him physically, but the silver lights are still showing him an outline. He looks around him and notices that they're in a clearing some woods.
"Damn, to the last detail?" Nico says shocked.
"Wow, that's impressive" Gert says to Jim. She then turns to him.
"Showing you this vehicle means we're trusting you Jim. Are you willing to trust us?" Gert says, strongly staring at Jim. Jim looks down at the ground.
'Trust? I have trust issues. For one, I've lied about my real name to everyone I've met. Even Mr Bakuto and Colleen, but those guys are pretty normal people with normal issues.I have come in contact with Karol, Victor and Molly.
I have proof of Karol's. I feel that Victor's physical abilities must be incredible as he didn't even breathe hard or sweat when he ran from the diner to the alley. When I shook hands with Molly I felt a unique form of energy within her.
'So the others have to be special, like me. And this vehicle is probably a huge secret. I want to be a part of this! Exploring my abilities will aid me in my revenge. Also I honestly need friends'. He looks up resolutely and decides to start over.
"I'm sorry, let me reintroduce myself. I haven't used my real name in a while. My name isn't Jim. It's Olu" Olu says giving an apologetic smile.
"Olu? You lied bout your name?" Gert said her eyes narrowed.
"I haven't used this name sin- since my parents died and I ran away. I should've died that day but my powers saved me. I kept muttering the names of the people that killed them in my sleep when I was saved and they thought that was my name. So I accepted it, so I'll never forget to avenge them" Jim says through grit teeth.
Chase's is shocked, Gert's eyes are wide open and the rest of the runaways show other forms of shock.
"Even though you may leave soon I've decided to tell you my story, since whatever this vehicle is may lead you to telling me-" Jim stops as Molly gives him a hug.
"You looked like you needed one" she says and Jim feels some tears drop from his eyes.
"Thank you" Jim tells her and she pulls away and grins.
"No problemo" she says stepping away. She feels a bit happy meeting someone her age for the first time in a while.
"What do you want us to call you?" Gert asks.
"Any name you want, if Olu doesn't feel right my middle name is Herbert" Jim says looking away, a bit ashamed of his middle name. Chase and Victor chuckle at the name and earn hard stares from the girls.
"We'll call you Olu then. Did I get it right? What language is that from?" Gert asks.
"It's Yoruba. I'm from Nigeria in Africa, my accent has changed over the past three years I've been here though. And I think you got it fine" he replies giving him a thumbs up to her. Gert and the rest of the team smile. Even Nico who's pretty quiet and mostly expressionless.
"Well, it's time for you to meet Froggy and Old Lace" Gert says and taps the watch on her right wrist. Jim watches as a ramp is lowered from out of thin air. He's on the other side so he can't see in but he still stands shocked. He walks around to the front and sees a bright room-
"Aaah!!!" Jim screams backing away in shock and falling on his butt.
-and a dinosaur staring at him. Along with his scream the laughter of the Runaways could be heard. Even the dinosaur seems to be laughing at him. Once Jim notices that it isn't attacking and takes in the laughter he calms down before turning to them.
"Assholes" he says guessing that this is Old Lace. He begins to stand up.
'Wow, an invisible aircraft and a dinosaur. I feel like this friendship is gonna be real beneficial'.
"Come on Jim" Karol says as she walks into the ship, with the rest of the gang following her. Jim just stares at the dinosaur as he walks closer and into the ship, looking ready to bolt anytime.
"No need to worry. Old Lace and I have a telepathic connection. I give him orders from my mind to his, he won't harm you" Gert says urging him.
'Telepathy? Is it similar to empathy? For them to connect that way there must be a medium for the transfer of information' Jim looks at the dinosaur and walks up to it before opening his bag.
'Bravery, bravery, bravery, you're not gonna die...' he pulls out his partially eaten cupcake and brings it out the pack before handing it to the dinosaur. The dinosaur looks at him and looks at the cake before looking at Gert for instruction. The dinosaur then opens its mouth and Jim throws the cake in. The dinosaur chews the cakes, swallows and licks Jim's hand before going to a corner and curling up.
"You're using prana to communicate. I felt it from the dinosaur. You called it telepathy?" Jim asks Gert. He felt the dinosaurs prana was excited when it licked his fingers.
"Yeah to explain our powers and our situation, you might want to sit down for this. It's gonna be pretty mind blowing" Gert says.
"Well I've just seen a prehistoric dinosaur, I don't think i could be anymore mind blown today" Jim replies and the runaways just grin, knowing that they are about to prove him wrong.
Almost two hours later.
Inside the Leapfrog.
Scene: A white spaceship room with 12 chairs and some extra space for mobility. There's glass in front and you can see outside the ship into the woods.
"So your parents are all cultists".
They all nod.
"Your parents are aliens".
Karol nods.
"Your parents are witches".
Nico nods.
"Your parents come from the future?".
Gert nods.
"Your parents are mad scientists".
Chase nods.
"You're an Android and your father is an artificial life form".
Victor nods.
"Your parents are supervillains with psychic powers".
Molly nods.
"That's right!" She says playfully. Jim sighs before turning to the last person.
"And you're an artificial intelligence controlling a spaceship that can hop through time".
"Affirmative" says Leapfrog, a hologram frog with a female voice presently floating in between all of them.
"Okay I have to say, I'm officially mind blown" Jim says. He isn't weirded out, instead he feels among somehow.
"You actually took all this pretty well" Victor says.
"I'm still trying to wrap my head round all this info, but I've decided to help you guys as much as I can. After all the fate of the world depends on this"
"Wait you believe us?" Nico asks a bit shocked that he's taking this all so easy.
"Well I'm sitting in an invisible spaceship, with a dinosaur. Besides I've seen what Karol can do when she takes her bracelet off" Jim says.
"Yeah I guess all that must be pretty good evidence. We were pretty shocked when we saw this too. Went from heavy mobile phones to these light and super speed processing tablets and wristwatches" Molly says, with the rest of the team nodding.
"I was mostly talking bout the gods thing" Nico says.
"Gods? I don't believe in gods, I'd prefer to call these Gibborim extraterrestrial, metaphysical or supernatural. They could just be very powerful aliens using technology so advanced that it affects soul. Since you spoke of magic that is also a possibility. With enough power and ability anyone can play god" Jim says with finality, his atheism unshaken.
"I see your point. These Gibborim are invaders to our world so we need all the help we can get. Doing that will mean stopping our parents also" Chase says.
"Chase is right. I have some ideas on how you could help with your guiding ability, but what other ways could you help us with?" Gert says with a smile. Jim scrunches his eyebrows in thought.
"Hmm, well y'all don't seem to have any fighting skills. I'm trained in a few martial arts, so I could teach you all some things" Jim says.
"You know Kung fu?!" Chase asks excitedly.
"Yes Chase, I know Kung fu" Jim says sighing at hearing those words.
'Miss Wong is gonna be so ticked off' Jim chuckles to himself internally remembering when he was talking bout Kung fu a few years ago.
"How good are your skills?" Gert asks.
"Well I study mixed martial arts, but I've beaten a few black belts my age and a few years older. I have a healing factor, so I do some very rigorous training with no set backs".
"Healing factor?" Molly asks.
"I heal from wounds very quickly and I barely get tired. I had an arrow wound through my thigh on the day I got my powers. I didn't exactly time it, but I'm sure I healed it in less than an hour".
"Damn, I see how that comes in handy" Gert says. "Anything else?".
"I want to study your powers as much as I can, I have some theories especially with Karol, Victor and you Gert. Karol for her energy manipulation, Victor cause I'm wondering how his Chi and Prana work with electrical signals that technology uses. And you cause I'm interested in your telepathy".
"Hmm, I see. Well we don't have enough experience or knowledge about our powers to give you much information. But the idea I have will use your guiding ability will completely solve that problem" Gert says with a mysterious smile.
"So what's the plan?" Jim asks with a grin of his own.
"We get the information from the pride themselves" Gert says with assurance. The other members though look shocked.
"Are you crazy? You want to take us back there? Our parents will kill us!" Chase says in protest.
"Don't worry we won't have to meet them. With my plan we won't have to leave the ship. Remember that Leap is capable of communicating with us through our watches. My guess is that she is capable of communicating with the advanced computers our parents use the same way. Right Leap?" Gert says with a tinge of hope.
"That is correct Ms Yorkes. I am indeed capable of connecting with your parent's computers remotely. I was created by the efforts of the Yorkes who possess futuristic technology and the Steins who's computers and technology are the backbone of The Pride. The problem I foresee is that I shall be discovered by the Stein's or Dean's firewalls" Leapfrog replies.
"Well that's where Olu comes in" Gert says feeling her plan come together in her head.
"Me?!" Jim says in surprise. "I'm no computer specialist".
"You're wrong. You're the greatest one to ever exist. We have a friend we left behind, Alex. He's super smart and used to use programming cheats to play MMORPG games online. From there he studied computer programming and was able to steal info from his parent's computer. You can do something similar but way more impressive" Gert says looking at Jim.
"Come on? That'll take a huge amount of time. Studying coding and computer programming will take months at least" Jim says.
"But you don't need to. Your power let's you break into combination safes right. Well writing a code is something similar. You could probably ask it for the 'ultimate hacking codes' and type it into the computer and that's it" Gert says snapping her thumbs together and leaving Jim gobsmacked.
"That's possible Leap?" Gert asks.
"From what I've heard from the recordings on your watch and this conversation it is entirely possible. If Master Olu is capable of creating such an application, capable of breaking through firewalls, without setting off alarms and leaving almost zero trace, your plan will work Miss Yorkes" Leapfrog tells Gert who does a fist pump.
"Yes!" She says in excitement.
"Damn. You're amazing, I've never thought of using my powers that way before" Jim says, realizing the kind of ability guide could be. 'I only thought of using them to cheat in exams, but I am pretty smart so I felt there was no need. Ethically as well. I need to widen my knowledge, various ideas and information will help me use my powers better'.
"That's my girlfriend" Chase says wrapping his hands round Gert as if protectively.
"Can't steal her from me" he says jokingly and sticks his tongue out. Jim chuckles with the group, but notices Victor look away for a moment. Gert now blushing decides to continue.
"There are a lot of heavily guarded Pride Facilities, making their systems look away from us while sneaking in will be a huge help. Also, you've heard of Victor's codes and I'm sure he wants those removed. Please create something that could remove those from his mind" Gert says returning back to her boss mode.
"Hmm yeah, all this is still based on the idea that I can create these codes. So why don't I test my power first" Jim says.
"Alright, well I guess it's only Leap that can help you" Gert says.
"Of Course Miss Yorkes" Leap says. Instantly a black panel comes out from under Jim's chair onto his lap. A hologram keyboard and screen appear on top.
"As creating a whole app, even though there would be no need to test for bugs will take a huge amount of time, I've created a test to understand how your ability works and how well I can help you. I have hidden a file named hfile.88 in a separate disk also containing a reasonable amount of folders and subfolders. With your guiding ability please locate this file using command prompt" Leap finishes. On the screen is the black interface of Cmd.exe.
"Alright let's see how well I can do this, I don't really have much typing experience so I may not be fast. I've only done some exercises on typewriters" Jim says to Leap.
"That is of no issue. Accuracy is of most importance here. With your martial arts training and your intelligence, improving your hand speed later will not be an issue" Leap says assuring Jim. Jim then nods and stretches his hands and fingers which all give off pop sounds. He looks at his friends who all give him excited looks.
"You can do it Jim!" Molly says giving him a double thumbs up. He nods and smiles before focusing on the panel.
"Okay. Find and open file 'hfile.88', Hint" Jim then sees the letter C on the keyboard glow with silver light.
"So seeing anything?" Chase asks the question they're all thinking. Jim just looks up and grins.
"Hell yeah".
Five minutes later
"Is that it?" Jim says, looking at an open folder taking up a small space on the screen.
"Yes, Master Olu. It seems your ability can create this hacking tool. I've created a training program to improve your typing skills and speed. I would recommend working on this first before you start working on the code" Leapfrog says. She displays a timetable on a screen for practice various times each day of the week.
"Sorry dude. That looks painful" Chase says with pity
"Yeah, I think you'll have to go without the practice and just start typing" Gert says.
"Hm, no need. You said you can connect to the tablets remotely right" Jim asks Leapfrog.
"Affirmative" is her reply.
"Okay, well since they are like small computers from what I've heard, could I use them to train in my room instead" Jim says. His main issue is how long he can use these computers before he goes back to camp.
"The tablets are all capable of holographic projection, so you could use them instead of coming to ship" Leap says.
"Okay I got the answer then, I need to borrow one of these tablets. I gotta get back to camp at 3:00pm everyday. And I won't show up on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as I have work then. Also working with you guys is gonna probably take up all the rest of my days from 9am-2:30pm on the other days except Sunday. As you can see I'm fully swamped but I've come up with an answer" Jim finishes. Chase gave off a few whistles hearing the schedule and the team feels pretty bad now.
"I haven't slept properly for a few years now and I use meditation in place of sleep. I actually do not needs to sleep as my body doesn't get tired. So for while you're here I'll dedicate 9:00pm to 5:00am to study typing and writing the code. I'll meditate from 5am-7am, the bus leaves 7:30. I'll check FEAST out, and I can meet up with y'all around 9am. I guess I could use 4pm to 7:30 for physical exercise or something" Jim says, mumbling the last part to himself leaving the Runaways shocked.
"Shocker" Chase says the Yorkes couple's favorite seat word.
"Is-is that okay" Gert says worried. In fact all of them are, but Jim feels different.
"For the first time in a while I feel excited. Finding people with powers like me, discovering new ways to use my powers, sitting in a space-time ship, in a room with a dinosaur. Honestly I have to thank you, and I've decided to help as much as I can" Jim says speaking his mind on the matter.
"Don't you think you need more rest or sleep at least? What do you think Leap?" Molly says asking the ship.
"If it is a normal human, I won't advise this plan. Due to urgency however, and the fact that Mr Olu has explained that he doesn't need sleep, he can do this for the short term. I advise to increase meditation, sleep and resting hours after the program is complete". Jim nods his head.
"Sure, What do you think?" Jim asks. Gert feels troubled but knows that they need this.
"Go for it, but if you begin to need rest, please take some time off" She says with a sigh.
"Alright" Jim says with a nod. He looks at his watch.
'2:19pm'.
"Well could you drop me near FEAST? I really want to see someone fly this thing" Jim's eyes sparkle in excitement and Chase grins at him.

Chase's chair moves to the front of the ship and various holograms pop up, before a sleek steering comes up from the ground.
